I’ve heard some really exciting things already about how Rockstar is really doubling down on AI for its future games and GTA 6 would benefit massively from this. According to official information, Rockstar is working right now to:
1. “Improve the responsiveness and quality of humans and animals with lower production costs”.
2. Develop “machine learning approaches”.
3. Create “better parity between AI and player-controlled characters”.
I’ve also heard that Rockstar is working on a evolving, seasonal map with things like dynamic weather and events.
Roll all this together and it doesn’t take a genius to see that GTA 6 would feel massively more alive with these improvements. You’d be able to have more NPCs acting smarter and with greater degrees of complexity, more realistic in-game elements like weather and reactions to events, and better gameplay, too.
Information Leaked On 4chan
The latest GTA 6 leaks were posted on 4chan which raises a lot of red flags.
4chan is a place that we’ve seen plenty of fake leaks, however, we’ve also seen a lot of real ones too, so it is possible these have some weight to them.
In a now-deleted AMA, the leaker stated that the game will be set in Vice City and that we will control a male protagonist, so no female character like was rumoured.
The story will be around 60 hours long and the mission layout will be quite open and free, meaning players don’t have to just follow a strictly linear story path.
It was also said that the console version would be released first, with the PC version following later like what we saw with GTA V, and that online would follow a few months after release like we saw with Red Dead Redemption 2.
As with any leaks, we have to take them with a pinch of salt because anyone can “leak” something.
But, with the large amount of “leaks” that was posted, at least one is bound to be true.
The leaker was asked for one detail that would prove the leaks were real and something that could be referred back to late to check validity.
It was said that players will “meet Ken Rosenberg and he mentions Tommy Vercetti several times although you never actually meet Tommy.”

Who Will Be The New Gta 6 Protagonist
The introduction of not one, but three simultaneous characters in GTA 5 is generally seen as a good creative decision by Rockstar. It introduced a new pace to the game and brought in a unique dynamic to the characters themselves.
This begs the question – is the next installment going to continue down this path or not?
From what weve gathered so far, here are the main rumors about GTA6 characters.
One rumor suggests that Grand Theft Auto 6 would actually have four playable characters! Out of these four, two would-be gangsters , but the other two would be cops .
However, according to another source, despite all the GTA 6 leaks about four playable characters, the game would feature only one protagonist, named Ricardo.
These rumors came with a lot of other information, not just about GTA 6 characters, and we will shortly discuss them below.
One thing to note – the links to these sources arent of much use anymore. A Reddit post made by JackOLantern1982 in 2019 has been deleted, and the Fireden link is simply non-functional at the moment.

Gta 6 Platforms: Ps4 Ps5 And More
As for the consoles you’ll be able to play it on, the potential 2023/4 release means we’ll be firmly into the PS5/Xbox Series X generation, but it’s possible that Rockstar will release a version for the PS4 and Xbox One if it’s feeling generous. Rockstar has ported both GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 to PC after their respective console releases too, so an eventual PC port also seems likely.

A: While we cant say for sure which GTA 6 cars will be featured, we might have a clue about some of them. Namely, since theres a rumor about an Elon Musk equivalent character that will appear in the game, there will most probably be cars similar to Tesla but with a different name due to copyright laws .

GTA Online is one of Rockstars most profitable titles, if not the most profitable one.
Given all the possibilities of the single-player game, we can only imagine to what extent the GTA Online experience will be pushed in the next release.
Its quite possible that GTA VI will function as a pathway to GTA Onlines rebirth for next-gen consoles.

Will There Be A Gta 6 Pc Release
It’s pretty clear at this stage that GTA 6 will be a PS5 and Xbox Series X release, especially in light of the upcoming GTA 5 next-gen post for the console and PC. However, whether a GTA 6 PC port will be released at the same time as its console counterparts isn’t quite as straightforward.
GTA 5 and GTA 4 both eventually made their way to PC, so you’d hope that a GTA 6 PC port also happens. It may not have a simultaneous launch, but that extra bit of polish and development time has paid off so far, so hopefully PC fans are willing to wait a little bit again.

There have been several rumors about potential GTA 6 location spots, including heading back to Vice City or being set across the entirety of the US.
The latest rumors that arrived in June 2021 suggest that the GTA 6 setting will be a modern-day recreation of Vice City – a rumor that has been later corroborated by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier.
In March 2021, Tom Henderson, a tipster with a great track record, stated that GTA 6 will be set in the modern day. When asked by someone on Twitter, Henderson retweeted their question and simply said Its not set in the 1980s and is modern.
Back in 2020 though, a huge GTA 6 leak emerged via Reddit. User JackOLantern1982 relayed a grand total of 23 details about Rockstar’s upcoming game. As well as confirming that it’s in development, they say that its codename is Project Americas as the game will take place over multiple countries: namely, Brazil in a fictional city based on Rio de Janeiro and Vice City in the US. The report suggested that the associated narrative would be heavily influenced by Netflix’s Narcos .
Another separate potential leak on Fireden though, suggests it’s a modern-day Liberty City setting for GTA 6, with the beginning of the game reminiscent of TV show, The Wire. It does suggest it’s also based on a drug ring, making that a consistent theme of all the leaks.

Who Are The Gta 6 Characters
We don’t know who the main protagonist of GTA 6 will be yet. Some Rockstar Games opt for a single main character, while Grand Theft Auto 5 allowed players to alternate between three different leads: Franklin Clinton, Michael De Santa and Trevor Philips. We’ll have to wait and see what Rockstar opts to do here.

So what about the GTA 6 map? There’s a plethora of rumors floating around suggesting a variety of settings for Grand Theft Auto 6 – making it hard to nail down which we will actually see in the final game. Although there havent been any concrete reports as yet, every online titbit and juicy gossip morsel is pointing towards GTA 6s map being absolutely massive. Were even not talking city-size massive, were talking potentially the entirety of the United States massive.
One of the biggest Grand Theft Auto 6 setting rumors has come from YouTube channel The Know, which claimed that GTA 6 is being developed under the code name Project Americas. The reason for this code name is apparently because players will be able to fly between the US and South America in the game, though the majority of the action will take place in the former. This in combination with the source’s assertion that the game will largely be set in Vice City suggests there could be a focus on drug-running which would draw on the popularity of shows and movies like Narcos and Tom Cruise’s Made in America. Particularly if Rockstar holds on to that 80s setting.
While it’s unlikely that the whole report is true that’s not to say some elements are impossible.
However, leaker Tom Henderson claims that, while Vice City will be coming to GTA 6 in some capacity, as the Project Americas rumor claims, that the map isn’t as big as previous rumors claim.

So When Is Gta 6 Coming Out
His predictions about the GTA 6 release date are set somewhere around 2024 or 2025, one of the main reasons being that there are a lot of shortages with the new generation of consoles. Rockstar obviously wants to release GTA 6 when there is a big enough market for the PS5 & Xbox Series X/S platforms.
Other reasons include the employee’s wellbeing and Rockstar not wanting to set a release date unless they are 100% sure they can meet the deadline. All of this makes sense, as Rockstar has been bringing changes to its approach to the development process.
More specifically, they came out with concerns about the strain and stress that comes with crunches and overtime – which are both very common in todays industry. Such stressful periods were present during the development of Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 5.
Also, we had a glance at Take Twos annual 10-K forms to investigate further.
We learned that they plan to invest approximately $89 million into marketing between April of 2023 and March of 2024. This kind of a spike was also present when Red Dead Redemption 2 was being marketed and prepared for release.
So, while no specific games are mentioned anywhere, we can see how all of this lines up with the presumed 2024/2025 GTA 6 release date.
However, as we’ll see in this article, the development of Grand Theft Auto 6 is already well underway.
Gta 6 Release Date Leaks Characters And News
There still looks to be a long wait until GTA 6 appears, or even gets any official details revealed. However, there are still plenty of leaks and rumors going around to keep us occupied.
We were told that GTA V is going to get a re-release on next-gen consoles soon, and more recently the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy remaster has been announced for this November. These both seem to suggest we’re unlikely to see a new GTA game particularly early in the PS5 or Xbox Series X‘s lifecycle as it transplants its existing userbase, particularly GTA Online players, onto the new consoles. However that perhaps means we’re only a year or two away, as there’s only so long that these older titles will satisfy fans, even with remastering.
When GTA 6 finally lands, we can expect the gameplay to remain the same mix of driving, shooting and heists, but many other things will likely have changed. We’ll have a new cast of characters in a new location most likely, perhaps even in a different time period. But there’s still a lot of gaps to fill when it comes to details. That’s why we’ve gathered together everything we know so far to try and figure out the answer to some of the questions we have about GTA6.

The current game already has a massive map, too hard to navigate. It will be interesting to see how large the upcoming map will be!

The time period will supposedly change throughout the chapters. The story is crime-driven and will take the player to a variety of settings, such as South America, new gameplay mechanics include smuggling drugs across the country.
The locations and time settings that the game is rumored to be set in are:

Gta 6 Leaked Map: The Recent Gta 6 Map Leak
There isnt a shortage of alleged GTA 6 leaked map material and possible clues online. The newest information regarding a GTA VI map has emerged from a leaked 15-second video.
The video shows a somewhat substantial map showing lots of locations and activities, with the main setting of GTA 6 being Vice City and the state of Florida. It is one of the most credible leaks we have so far.
The reason for this claim is that it coincides with information posted on 4Chan some time ago, mentioning names of a few locations – that can also be seen in the video.
We have 2 Reddit users to thank for recreating a high-resolution version of the map in question, and one GTAForums user – nicktestbranch – for initially stitching the map from the video together:

After this image was posted, u/StickiLizardStudiosYT went out and layered the GTA 5 map over the new, leaked one, to compare the GTA 6 Map with GTA 5.
What leads us to further connect these leaks to GTA 6 Vice City, apart from the already mentioned clues, is that a lot of cities and locations shown on the new GTA 6 map are apparently based on different Florida locations.
Locations like the Vice Gardens shown on the eastern side of the map, Tortona Beach way up north, and Quincy World might be in-game counterparts to the Miami Gardens, Daytona Beach, and, of course, Disney World .
