God Of War: Ragnarok News And Rumors
God of War was at the PlayStation Showcase 2021?
After days of speculation, we got new God of War details at the PlayStation Showcase that took place on September 9, 2021. We didn’t get a release date but we did finally get an official name God of War: Ragnarok as expected as well as a new trailer which you can watch above.
After the event, Cory Barlog the director of God of War on the PS4 put out a wholesome response on Twitter including a tongue-in-cheek response to the name reveal.

PS4 to PS5 upgrade fee
After the player outrage surrounding the confusing upgrade process for Horizon Forbidden West, Sony issued a statement detailing how it will allow players to upgrade from the PS4 version to the PS5 version of future titles.
It specifically named checked God of War and said that you’ll need to pay a $10 digital fee to get the enhanced PS5 version of the game if you already own the PS4 version. Most likely this means God of War: Ragnarok will continue Sony’s trend of $70 PS5 games, however, we hope things change by the time the game actually releases.
When is the next State of Play and will God of War be part of it?

Will God Of War Release On Xbox One
Some players are wondering if the latest God of War will launch for the Xbox One or Xbox 360.
Tensions have been mounting among action fans as the God of War release date draws ever closer. The initial impressions seem very clear Kratos’ latest adventure is not one that series fans will want to miss. However, some players who may not be familiar with the franchise are left wondering if God of War will ever break free of its PlayStation 4 chains and release for the Xbox One or Xbox 360.
God Of War Pc Means The Platform Wars Are Over Boy
20 October 2021
Kratos is Sony’s Mario, and the arrival of PlayStation’s greatest exclusive on PC is a watershed moment.
I still remember the first time I saw the original 2005 God of War: not on a screen, but a bunch of postcard-sized screenshots in a PlayStation 2 magazine. One showed the hydra, the game’s opening boss, and I simply couldn’t believe that this thing was on a PlayStation 2: the sheer size of it! And there’s a small angry man in the jaws! I devoured the words on the page but the screenshots had already done their job: A few months down the line, I was snapping that thing’s jaw in half with a big smile.
God of War has always been a showpiece game for Sony hardware. God of War 2 is one of the most spectacular-looking games PlayStation 2 ever had , Chains of Olympus made the PSP sing, and God of War 3 upped the ante even further on PlayStation 3: it begins with a close-up view of Kratos battling through a shifting, craggy landscape before the camera zooms out and you realise you’re fighting up the back of a freaking titan. Also: I absolutely loved killing Hermes in that game.

K Resolution Unlocked Framerates Nvidia Dlss Support And More Are Coming To Make The Journey Even Better
Update 11/05: AMD has confirmed that its supersampling tech FidelityFX Super Resolution will support the upcoming PC version of God of War.
2018’s God of War is on its way to PC, arriving for Steam and Epic Games Store on January 14. It’s available for pre-order now for $49.99 USD / £39.99.
Steam and Epic Games Store listings for the game appeared today, adding that the game has enhanced visuals, unlocked framerates, 4K resolution options, and Nvidia DLSS and Reflex support. The game will support multiple controllers as well as mouse and keyboard, and will include 21:9 ultrawide screen support. Exact PC specifications have not yet been announced.
Sony subsequently confirmed the release on the PS Blog, with Sony Santa Monica’s Grace Orlady saying, “Our primary goal when bringing God of War to PC was to highlight the exceptional content the team created and leverage the powerful hardware that the platform offers to create a uniquely breathtaking and high-performance version of the game.”
Have you played God of War?
Orlady added more details about the game’s visuals, saying it includes, “a wide range of graphical presets and options so you can fine-tune your visual experience based on your setup. From higher resolution shadows and improved screen space reflections to enhancements to the ambient occlusion pipeline with GTAO and SSDO God of War on the PC can create striking visual quality unique to the platform.”
The PC version will also include some bonus content:
Towards A Major Extension In March 2022

In addition to this DLC scheduled for very soon, it is also and above all a major extension that is mentioned. The latter would be scheduled for March 2022 and would probably offer a God Of War type experience.
A massive expansion is also slated for March 2022. It should represent around 40 hours of additional gameplay and will be a God of War type expansion whatever that means.
While he explains that its hard to imagine what a God Of War-style gaming experience in Assassins Creed Valhalla might look like at the moment, a 40-hour expansion represents pretty massive additional content usually reserved for standalone projects.
Last June, the studio said it was not done with Odin and teased during a video presenting the content to come, something that could have a connection with this famous extension. We hope that the Game Awards ceremony will be an opportunity to learn more about this.

Sony’s bullish-if-slow attitude toward launching its biggest PlayStation exclusives on Windows PCs will continue in January 2022 with a release that pretty much everybody saw coming. The critically acclaimed 2018 reboot of God of War will be coming to PC.
What fans probably didn’t expect, however, was for Sony to ally with Nvidia for the release.
The PC version of God of War, arriving on January 14, 2022, will retail for $49.99, and its Steam listing already includes some technical details as of Wednesday morning. The most interesting addition is entirely new for Sony Interactive Entertainment launches on PC: support for Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling standard.
God Of War 2 Xbox One Switch Or Pc Port
With as big a game as the 2018 God of War, some players outside of Sonys ecosystem may be wondering if theyll be able to play it as well. Unlike competitors, Sony has been pretty comfortable keeping its games exclusive to its PlayStation consoles.
That said, the company recently mentioned that it could be open for multiplatform titles in the future. Sony Interactive Entertainment Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden stated, in a recent interview, that the company was open to seeing some of its exclusives go on PC. However, as part of this, Layden specifically mentioned multiplayer titles that could take advantage of the PC control scheme. Seeing as God of War doesnt fall under this umbrella, on top of it being a pretty big franchise, any sequel will most likely remain a PlayStation exclusive.

God Of War 5 Ragnark Release Date
Shockingly, we actually had a release window for God of War 5: Ragnarök — 2021. However, since then, God of War has unsurprisingly been delayed to 2022. Even getting this game out next year is wild, considering God of War just launched in 2018. Sure, Santa Monica Studios has had four years, but it is way sooner than how long it took to get Horizon Forbidden West and The Last of Us Part II.
Since Santa Monica Studios already built God of War from the ground up, we imagine that itll be much easier to create a sequel to the 2018 game of the year, but since this title will be coming to PS5, well get enhanced graphics at hopefully higher frame rates.
There hasn’t been an update on the release date for God of War 5: Ragnarök, but we recently learned that God of War will be backwards compatible with the PS5 and the game will also carry over your save data from the PS4.
It’s been practically dead silent on the news front concerning God of War 5 Ragnarök, but we got some insight into what platforms the next God of War game might be on, at least according to former Santa Monica employee David Jaffe.
Jaffe was streaming none other than God of War when he made a comment on the fate of God of War 5 Ragnarök. “I’m sure the next God of War will be PS4, PS5,” Jaffe said. “Of course it will.”
We haven’t received any news about the latest God of War title, but Cory Barlog is with story details.

This is through the generally very knowledgeable
There’s a new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC coming this December .There’s also a massive DLC expansion coming in March 2022. It’s expected to be around 40 hours of additional gameplay and will be a “God of War-style” expansion, whatever that means.
Tom Henderson

Is God Of War Ragnarok Coming To Ps4
God of War Ragnarok will likely be a cross-platform release, launching on both PS4 and PS5. The game was explicitly name-checked by Herman Hulst in an interview that noted multiple games will be arriving on PS4, too.
Where it makes sense to develop a title for both PS4 and PS5 for Horizon Forbidden West, the next God of War, GT7 well continue looking at that, Hulst said.
And if PS4 owners want to play that game, then they can. If they want to go on and play the PS5 version, that game will be there for them.
‘god Of War’ Isn’t The Only Playstation Exclusive To Be Made Available For The Pc
For a long time, part of the appeal of PlayStation consoles was the sheer number of award-winning titles like God of War, The Last of Us, and Horizon Zero Dawn available exclusively for Sony products. But in a move that initially surprised many, Sony has decided to bring many of its fan favorites to the PC, bringing the potential for its games to reach an even wider audience.
While this move is indicative of a larger trend in gaming, Sony has maintained it will not release PlayStation exclusives on PC simultaneously anytime in the future.
And to maybe put a few minds at ease, releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesnt necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC, Sonys head of worldwide studios, Herman Hulst, said following the release of Horizon Zero Dawn on PC in early 2020.
In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was just a great fit in this particular instance. We dont have plans for day and date , and we remain 100 percent committed to dedicated hardware.
God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, as well as some third-party exclusives like Death Stranding are just some of the titles to be added to the PC in recent years. If you’re willing to wait, it seems some of the company’s best-performing games will continue to make their way to PCs.

Will God Of War 2 Be A Ps5 Launch Game
Considering that the the project seems to be at the concept art stage, based on the listing, its likely that the game itself is still at an early stage. With this in mind, we can most likely safely assume that a God of War 2 will not be a launch title should the PS5 arrive in the first half of 2020, as some rumors have suggested. Should the PS5 launch later in the year however, say holiday season, then it could possibly make launch but it is probably going to be a big game so dont count on it.
That said, even if the game could be done within now and holiday 2020, the time frame does feel a bit too short for Sonys usual hype cycle. The company likes to spend months, or even years hyping up the release of a game , and itll likely want to do the same for a God of War 2. With all of this in mind, a God of War 2 will most likely not be a PS5 launch title.
Rumour: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Getting ’40

- 361
As if Assassin’s Creed Valhalla wasn’t big enough, there’s a new rumour doing the rounds from reliable reporter Tom Henderson that it will be introducing a ‘God of War-style’ expansion in March 2022, featuring 40 hours of gameplay.
Better yet, we’re apparently getting some content even sooner than that too, with smaller DLC set to be released this month. Henderson has speculated this might be announced at The Game Awards later this week:
There’s a new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC coming this December .There’s also a massive DLC expansion coming in March 2022. It’s expected to be around 40 hours of additional gameplay and will be a “God of War-style” expansion, whatever that means. Tom Henderson
This is all we know about these plans so far, but assuming they’re true, it sounds like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players are in for a treat over the next few months. This game just doesn’t want to slow down!
As for what ‘God of War-style’ means? It’s anyone’s guess. Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
