Xbox Elite Wireless Controller
In June 2015 Microsoft announced the release of their Xbox Elite Wireless Controller, priced at $149 and with availability starting in October 2015. The new controller adds swappable parts that allow gamers to personalize it to fit their needs, preferences and playing style. The new parts include 4 bumper pads , hair-trigger locks for more precise control and faster firing in FPS games, and a textured rolling pad to replace the standard D-pad.
Ps4 Vs Xbox One: Price
At the time of writing, PS4 is outselling the Xbox One by quite a margin. However, this works in favour of anyone thinking about picking up the latter, as to compensate for this disparity in sales numbers the Xbox One S is much more affordable compared to the PS4 Slim. The RRP of an Xbox One S currently sits at around the £199.99, while a standard PS4 Slim is roughly £50 more than that. Its not a huge difference in the grander scheme of things but might be enough to sway you to one or the other.
Of course, the price of both can be offset somewhat by picking one up during a sale or as part of a bundle. The more games included in the latter helps to improve the value the conversation then becomes more about which platform has the best games that interest you, which brings us neatly onto the next section of the PS4 vs Xbox One comparison.

There’s A Lot Of The Same

The Venn diagram representing PS4 versus Xbox One has tons of overlap. Both consoles play the vast majority of games out there, so choosing one over the other won’t block you out of a lot of content. They both play Blu-rays and DVDs as well as media files off a home network or USB stick.
The Xbox One lets you expand storage via an external USB drive, while the PS4’s internal drive can be completely swapped out.
Both consoles have great controllers, too, both significantly improved over their predecessors.

What Is Better A Ps4 Or Xbox1
Performance and graphics While both systems are generally good at playing games, PS4 has a slight edge in terms of resolution. In terms of crispness, PS4 is the best choice if you want the best possible experience for most games. In terms of premium versions of both consoles, Xbox has an edge over its rival.
Xbox One Vs Ps: Value
The Xbox One S starts at $299 , putting it on par with the $299 PS4 Slim. However, it’s worth noting that both consoles go on sale all the time, and you can often find them both for as low as $200 . The One S doubles as a 4K Blu-ray player, so you’re arguably getting the most tech for your money with that machine.
If you’re on an extra-tight budget, you can opt for the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition , which has no disc drive and includes Forza Horizon 3, Minecraft and Sea of Thieves. However, the standard Xbox One S drops to that price frequently, so you’re probably better off waiting for a sale and getting the 4K Blu-ray drive for cheap — especially if you don’t want to rely entirely on digital downloads.
Microsoft has recently brought back the Xbox All Access program. This lets you lease an Xbox One S, Xbox One X or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition starting at $19.99 a month for 24 month. According to Microsoft, this program saves you more than $100 compared to purchasing the console and bundled games separately. All Access members can upgrade to the upcoming Xbox Series X console starting late 2020, though there’s no word yet on how much the upgrade will cost.
If you want 4K gaming, Sony’s PS4 Pro costs $399 , while the Xbox One X runs a hefty $499 . That’s a pretty big price gap, though Microsoft’s console offers a richer 4K gaming experience. .
Winner: Xbox One. The $249 Xbox One S is the cheapest console out there and doubles as a 4K Blu-ray player.

The Vr Edge: Obvious Really
Admittedly, this is a giveaway category for now, because Microsoft hasnt announced any VR plans. Rumours suggest that we might see Oculus Rift support for an Xbox console, perhaps next years Project Scorpio, but its unclear whether the Xbox One S could reasonably power the headset. It seems unlikely.
On the other hand, Sony has the PlayStation VR headset out now and while it runs fairly well with a standard PS4 , it sees a small boost from the PlayStation 4 Pro. We didnt notice any drastic enhancements in the early batch of Pro-capable games, although Battlezone adds some dynamic lighting and reflections, while Rez Infinite sees slightly improved effects.
We wouldnt buy a PS4 Pro just to improve the PlayStation VR experience, at least based on the early results, but theyre nice perks to have. In any case, Sony doesnt have any console competition in this category, so its a clear win there. Having to swap cables between the VR headset and 4K TV with the Pro is a strange annoyance, however.
Winner: PlayStation 4 Pro

Xbox One Vs Ps: Game Library
Given both consoles are now last-generation machines, there’s not a huge gulf between the game libraries of the PS5 and Xbox One. Both have access to some of the best games ever like Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Witcher 3, as well as a suite of indie games.
There are some core differences. The Xbox One gets access to a wider range of backward compatible games dating back to the original Xbox, as well as access to Xbox Game Pass, which provides a huge suite of games, old and new, to play for a monthly fee.
But the PS5 has access to a range of simply kilter exclusive games from The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima to Uncharted 4 andGod of War. These games are very good and arguably give the PS4 the edge.
That’s not to say the Xbox One is devoid of great first party games titles such as Gears 5, Forza Horizon 4, Halo 5, Ori and the Blind Forest and Sunset Overdrive are all major standouts.
Winner: PS4. Both systems have a lot of great games, but Sony’s system has more hit games that you can only play on a console.

Do Ps4 Slim And Xbox One S Play All My Current Games

Yes, both PS4 slim and Xbox One S can play their entire respective PS4 and Xbox One libraries. Xbox One S doesn’t have a dedicated Kinect port so you’ll need an adapter for the Kinect sensor if you plan on playing any Kinect games. Here are Microsoft’s instructions on how to get an adapter . There may be Xbox One Scorpio-exclusive games in the future, but that’s at least a year or two off. Sony says it has no plans to make games that only run on PS4 Pro.

Reasons To Buy An ‘xbox One S’ Instead Of A ‘ps4 Pro’
It’s only September, but the holiday season is already fast-approaching. This means we have a bunch of big purchases in our near future, whether those are gifts to loved ones or Black Friday deals.
For video games and the people who love to play them, 2016’s holiday season is the first since 2013 in which brand new video game consoles are being sold. Granted, these aren’t brand new in the same way the PS4 and Xbox One were brand new three years ago, but they do represent significant refreshes to both Sony and Microsoft’s gaming systems.
In an effort to help conflicted shoppers in the coming months, here are six reasons why it makes more sense to buy an Xbox One S instead of the PS4 Pro this holiday season.
Which console should you buy this holiday season?
1. Ultra-HD Blu-Ray
Both the Xbox One S and the PS4 Pro are taking advantage of 4K resolution and HDR technology. But while the PS4 Pro boasts a more powerful processor and graphics chip, the Xbox One S is the only console available with a built-in Ultra-HD Blu-Ray player. This is important.
First, let’s get some definitions out of the way.
Most HD television sets right now boast a 1080p resolution. That’s “HD” and that’s also the resolution that a standard Blu-Ray disc plays at.
But now we have a new generation of TV technology called Ultra-HD. This displays at 4K resolution—essentially four times the pixel count of 1080p. It’s much more high-fidelity, and is mostly noticeable on bigger screens.
In Conclusion
P.S.
Should I Get An Xbox One Or Playstation 4
At this point, the argument between whether PlayStation or Xbox is better is two decades old. Here, at the end of this console generation, we can look back and judge what the PS4 and Xbox Ones strengths and weaknesses are, but to a certain degree, it comes down to personal preference.
- Until Dawn
- Yakuza series
Xbox, on the other hand, has had a lackluster exclusive lineup this generation. Halo only received one title for the Xbox One, and besides Gears of War and Forza, there arent many unique titles for Microsofts console to get excited for.

Which Is Better Ps4 Slim Or Xbox One S
Which is more powerful, PS4 slim or Xbox One S? The original PS4 was slightly more powerful than the original Xbox One, which gave it resolution and framerate advantages in some cross-platform games. But while PS4 slim only stays the course, Xbox One S is actually slightly more powerful than Xbox One.
Is Xbox More Powerful Than Ps4
The original PS4 boasts a 1.84 teraflop GPU that’s based on AMD’s Radeon technology. Meanwhile the original Xbox One graphics chip, also with an AMD Radeon GPU, had a pipeline for 1.31 teraflops, although this increased to 1.4 teraflops with the Xbox One S and to a whopping 6.0 teraflops on the Xbox One X.

Xbox Vs Playstation: Differences Pros Cons

Xbox One Vs Ps: Hardware And Design
- The PS4 has a slim version and a 4K PS4 Pro
- The Xbox has the Xbox One S, Xbox One S All-Digital Edition and Xbox One X
Both the Xbox One and the PS4 have different versions that you can buy right now. The PS4 has two and the Xbox One has three. This is different than in the past, when each console existed on its own, and lasted an entire generation.
The Xbox One S improved on the design of the original Xbox One by cutting down a lot of the heft, and removing the gigantic power brick, making use of an internal power supply instead. It measures 11.6 x 8.9 x 2.5 inches, and unlike the previous version includes a 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray player it will even upscale 1080p games to 4K, as long as you have a TV that can support it.
However, if you prefer a more streamlined version of the Xbox One S then the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition may be more your cup of tea. The 1TB disc-less console looks and performs like its predecessor but lacks a disc drive so that means no Blu-ray or physical discs.
The Xbox One X might be heftier than the Xbox One S, but its still considerably smaller than the original Xbox One, coming in at 11.81 x 9.44 x 2.36 inches and weighing around 8.4 lbs . This is the high-powered version of the Xbox One, with native 4K gaming as well as a 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray player .

Ps4 Vs Xbox One: What’s In The Box

At launch, Xbox One came with the console, a controller, and the Kinect camera which bumped up the price while annoying many who weren’t impressed by the motion capture tech. Subsequent Xbox One bundles included Forza Horizon 3 or FIFA 17 for the same price, while newer, cheaper systems have eliminated Kinect completely while promoting the latest Xbox games such as Forza Horizon 4.
Both the Xbox One S and Xbox One X boxes contain an HDMI cable and a 14-day free trial for Microsoft’s Xbox Live Gold online service. There’s no USB charging cable, as the Xbox One controller uses batteries out of the box.
However, while the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition box comes with all this, it also includes three digital game downloads and a free trial of Xbox Game Pass – Microsoft’s game subscription service.
Inside both the PS4 and PS4 Pro boxes are the consoles and a single DualShock 4 controller. Wires include an HDMI cable and a micro-USB cable for the controller.
Don’t throw out the box right away. Tucked inside is a 30-day subscription to PlayStation Plus and a wired mono earbud. You’ll get much better sound out of a full-size gaming headset, but it’s nice to have a basic one included.
