Xbox Series X Vs Xbox Series S Verdict

Microsoft may be onto something here. By offering two consoles that target different audiences, consumers ultimately have more choice and more ways to enter into the Xbox ecosystem. If only the best will do, pick up an Xbox Series X, but be prepared to pay a premium. Want to enter the next generation without breaking the bank? The Xbox Series S is a fantastic entry point, and one with a seriously tempting price.

Microsoft seems to have created two appealing iterations of its console, without one appearing less attractive than the other. Crucially, it will now be able to fight the PS5 on two fronts: price and performance. The Xbox Series S costs significantly less than the PS5, and while the Xbox Series X may cost the same as the PS5, it’s more powerful… at least, on paper.

By creating an argument for Xbox Series X vs Xbox Series S, Microsoft has essentially done its best to turn consumers heads where it might not have done so were it a straight fight between Xbox Series X and PS5. And thats surely a win for Xbox as a whole.

What Is Xbox All Access

Once you do find a new Xbox in stock, you don’t necessarily have to pay for it all up front. Both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are part of the Xbox All Access program, which allows you to lease a console complete with Xbox Game Pass by making small monthly payments.

Xbox All Access starts at $24.99 a month for 24 months for the Xbox Series S, and costs $34.99 a month for 24 months for the Xbox Series X. Both memberships include 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate , which gets you access to hundreds of Xbox games including the Halo, Gears, Forza and Elder Scrolls franchises. When you factor in Game Pass, both of these monthly plans add up to roughly the same amount as buying everything up front, so All Access is worth considering if you don’t want to dish out a few hundred bucks all at once.

Xbox All Access memberships are available at various retailers, including Best Buy, Walmart, Target and GameStop. Just note that you’ll have to qualify for a line of credit via Citizens One.

Is Xbox One Dead

No. Its true that the Xbox one sold poorly compared to Sonys PlayStation 4, but in many ways the Xbox series X marks a shift in how Microsoft views the traditional console cycle. Rather than thinking in generations and hardware, the company is now focusing on providing ongoing access to games as a subscription service, similar to how Netflix or Spotify operates.

Game Pass is Microsofts on-demand games platform, giving players access to over 100 full games for a monthly fee. Microsoft is investing heavily in its subscription offering, snapping up large games publishers like Bethesda in a bid to bolster its library of titles and lure players away from Sonys rival PlayStation Now service.

Even the very latest games on Game Pass are designed to be compatible with previous consoles as well as next-generation ones, so that over time, owning the newest hardware becomes less important for the majority of players. Older generations of Xbox are expected to dodge the landfill for a while yet.

Target’s Xbox Series X restock strategy has changed pretty dramatically recently the retailer’s new policy is that the Xbox Series X and S can now be sold as soon as inventory is available, rather than waiting for set drop dates. This means we’re now seeing Xbox Series X availability nearly every day at Target–however, this is only for certain locations with stock extremely limited. As such, you should make sure your zip code is updated before checking availability at Target. Xbox Series X Price Vs Playstation 5 Price

Xbox Series X Review: Everything To Know About The Game ...

Both the Xbox series X and the PlayStation 5 are priced identically at £449. The PlayStation 5 digital edition costs £349, compared to the all-digital Xbox series S, which is cheaper than its rival at £249.

Comparing the two cheaper models is tricky, as while neither has a disc drive, theyre not equivalent. The PlayStation 5 digital edition is just as powerful as a standard PlayStation 5 it simply doesnt have a disc drive while the Xbox series S is a slight performance downgrade of the higher-specification Xbox series X.

The widespread semiconductor shortage is affecting several different industries, including console production as well as cars and other tech. The shortage has been “steadily worsening since last year,” according to The Guardian, and shows no sign of improving right now.
