It can be a little chaotic, constantly refreshing the screen and hoping to see a checkout link. And as many can attest, it’s pretty painful to punch in your payment information only to see that the purchase can’t be completed because all the consoles are already gone. Here are some of our tips:
- Open multiple browsers: Got a laptop? A phone? Maybe a tablet? Use them all to try to make the purchase. Set yourself up ahead of time with multiple browsers open to the retail site of your choice and be ready to buy from all of them.
- Don’t give up: Many of these retailers have started releasing the consoles over the course of 30 minutes, to keep bots from buying them all and reselling them at a price increase. If you see everything is sold out after the first 5 minutes, keep refreshing because your chance probably isn’t gone yet.
- Have an account set-up and signed-in: The time it takes to enter your payment and shipping information can be the difference between getting your console and getting left in the dust. Avoid that delay by setting up an account on the websites you’ll be shopping on.
- Make sure you have a confirmation email: There have been many reports of a purchase getting “stuck” and even though the website said the sale was complete, no confirmation email arrived and then no Xbox arrived. Keep an eye out and make sure you actually have an Xbox Series X headed your way before celebrating.

Although GameStop is one of our top restockers, we think a drop at the major retailer seems unlikely this week. After all, the company did surprise us with an Xbox drop last week, and this time around appears to be focussing on PS5 consoles with an in-store restock.
Interestingly, GameStop has been hinting at a Halo Xbox Series X restock lately. However, all it had to offer us on release day was the Halo Elite Controller and promises that wed get notified if any consoles were dropping soon.
If GameStop does go live once more before Christmas, youll need to be a PowerUp Rewards Pro member to checkout an Xbox Series X/S.

GameStop sent out an email to its PowerUp Rewards Pro members, alerting them of a forthcoming Xbox Series X restock. It appears as if the Xbox Series S may also be available, according to the photo used, but the text doesn’t form this.
“A limited number of Xbox Series X Far Cry 6 Bundles will be available online,” according to the GameStop email. The email was sent to PowerUp Pro Rewards members and encourages people to ‘Go Pro’, meaning the $15/a year barrier to entry will be required for first access, which we highly recommend as the retailer can sell out of the console.
GameStop cites the date being Thursday, October 7 and the time being 11am EDT / 10am CDT / 9am MDT / 8am PDT.

Target Xbox Series X Restock: Daily Online Locally

Every morning Target has the Xbox Series X in stock at random stores to be bought online . The problem is that it’s hard to issue Twitter alerts when it’s usually select stores in a city and there are as few as five consoles as part of the Xbox restock.
Target has switched from a nationwide restock date to offering the Xbox Series X at a local level and it has the Xbox consoles for sale as they come in every morning.
Gamestop ‘pro’ Membership Needed For This Restock
This is a question we always get: will I need to have a GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro membership to get the Xbox Series X restock on Thursday?
Yes and no. GameStop offers ‘early access’ to the Xbox Far Cry 3 bundle. This doesn’t mean you’ll get access any earlier than 11am EDT. Better than ‘early access’ you get ‘first access’ starting at the 11am EDT Xbox restock time. If there are any consoles left over, usually after one hour, then it’ll be up for grabs for non-Pro members.
But the price of GameStop’s Pro membership is $15 a year, not per month like a lot of people suspect. You don’t have to get the $20 membership . That version comes with a paper-based magazine instead of a digital copy. You can save $5 by switching over the $15 membership instead.

Since the Christmas rush, the supply of Xbox series X consoles has slowed to a trickle, but its at least a consistent trickle. New stock has been sporadic throughout April and May, with fresh batches of consoles usually selling out in less than five minutes. Some retailers, most notably Game, have had more restocks than others.
Knowing which retailers to check first to can help you grab one when they do appear, so weve compiled a shortlist of the most likely places you can buy an Xbox series X.
Game Game has been increasing the frequency of its Xbox restocks lately. The retailer had the Halo Infinite limited edition Xbox series X available for pre-order on 25 August, and last restocked the standard console on 13 August. Game is one of three to sell the Xbox All Access programme.
The retailer last restocked the Xbox series X on 29 July, though supply was so limited the console was only on sale for around two minutes. Whereas Amazon restricts sales of Sonys next-generation console to Prime customers, the Xbox gets no such protection. As such its exposed to automated bots and unscrupulous resellers and sells out in the blink of an eye.

Antonline Xbox Series X Restock
One retailer you might not have heard of, but one that will almost certainly have the Xbox Series X this Christmas holiday season is Antonline. The online-only retailer has at least one Xbox drop a week, and theyre good at dispatching the consoles fast for the holidays.
Bear in mind that all Antonline Xbox Series X purchases will be in bundle-form, meaning youll pay more for the console.
However, if you put notifications on for the Antonline Twitter, at least you stand a good chance of beating others to the drop. And you can always sell any extras that you purchase alongside your device anyway.

Whats Happening With Amazons Xbox Stock
is currently sold out of the Xbox series X in the UK, but in recent weeks the retail giant has restocked Microsofts new console in Germany, France and Spain.

Xbox Series S Price: Cheaper Digital Edition
Rumours circled for months that Microsoft was working on a cheaper Xbox to launch alongside the Series X. Sure enough, the Xbox Series S is a digital-only version of its next-gen console in order to lower the barrier to entry.
It costs £249.99 . That’s just over half the price of the full-fat Xbox Series X and could be a very tempting price for UK gamers.
Gamers in 12 countries, including the US, UK and Australia, also have the option to pre-order the Series S and pay in instalments. Microsoft’s Xbox All Access service gets you Series S console plus Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold in return for £20.99 per month over a 24 month period.
The main difference between the Xbox Series X and Series S is that the latter doesn’t have a disc drive. Another big difference is that while both consoles support high frame rates of up to 120fps, the Xbox Series X offers native 4K gaming, while the Series S is geared more towards 1440p. If you want to make the most of your 4K TV, the Series X would be the obvious choice, but those with gaming monitors might be perfectly well served by the Series S.
The Series S isn’t as powerful, though. Both consoles have the same Zen 2-based CPU but the Xbox Series X runs at 3.8Hz, while the Series S runs at 3.4Hz. And where the Xbox Series S has 10GB of GDDR6 memory running at 224Gbps, the Series X offers 16GB of GDDR6.

The latest? Both the Series X and S remains incredibly hard to find but Amazon released a major Xbox restock to celebrate Prime Day. Though sadly all of its Xbox Series X consoles soon sold out.

Not helping the situation is how supplies for the PS5 may have nearly dried up. Last week, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan told a Russian media outlet: Everything is sold. Absolutely everything is sold. And everything will be sold in Russia, theres no doubt about that.
