Check Xbox Series X inventory and stay on top of the latest Xbox restocks here.
Update: Amazon has the Xbox Series S in stock right now. Right now, it’s scheduled to arrive well before Christmas, as well. The Xbox Series X appeared via an Xbox All Access promotion at GameStop–bundled with two years of Game Pass Ultimate–on December 17.
With just weeks until Christmas, it will likely be hard to snag an Xbox Series X or Series to put under the tree. We are here to give you the best chance you can possibly have, whether it’s for you or a loved one. Ever since launching last holiday, both the Series X and Series S have been quite difficult to find. Retailers don’t have them readily available on shelves and online restocks tend to sell out in minutes. That said, it’s not uncommon to see multiple Xbox Series X and Series S restocks each week at retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, GameStop, and the Microsoft Store.
We’ve rounded up retailer listings for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S below. We’ll update this article every time a new restock is available, so you may want to bookmark this page and check back frequently. Keep in mind that it’s easier to find the Series S than the Series X. The Series X and Series S are sometimes available via Xbox All Access, a purchasing agreement that lets you pay off the console and a Game Pass subscription in monthly installments .

For now, however, you cannot buy one of the limited edition consoles from the Microsoft Store.

It’s almost been a year since the Xbox Series X launched, and while many have got their hands on the luxurious next-gen model, there’s still plenty of people waiting. With many huge first-party games on the horizon, the desperation to retrieve one is settling in for some people, but thankfully, it sounds like a boost in stock could be right around the corner.

Why Is The Xbox Tough To Find
Essentially, Microsoft hasn’t been able to get the materials it needs to make enough Xbox consoles to meet demand. As with the PlayStation 5 and most PC video cards, there’s a chip shortage right now that is slowing supply. The pandemic affected production for a lot of chip manufacturers, and industry watchers currently don’t expect the issue to be entirely resolved until the end of the year.
As a result, Microsoft makes as many consoles as it can and distributes them among its retail partners. Each retailer releases its available consoles in whatever way it deems appropriate. Most of the time, this means announcing ahead of time when you’ll be able to buy the console online and then releasing it for anyone to buy.
Check out this full breakdown on the chip shortage by CNET’s Stephen Shankland for more details.
Where To Buy Xbox Series X Uk: Latest Updates
As of September 9, there’s no Xbox Series X stock available online in the U.K. at the time of writing. And getting hold of Microsoft’s flagship console is set to be a problem for all the way up to 2023.
If you want a distraction while you wait, well there’s a new Battlefield Mobile game coming. Or you might decide to give up entirely, as Xbox cloud gaming could make console generations irrelevant.
Do bear in mind that you can get an Xbox Series X for a monthly subscription fee of £28.99 as part of the Xbox All Access programme. That gets you the console and access to Xbox Game pass for a regular fee over the span of 24 months. The Xbox Series X can be had for £20.99 for the same 24-month subscription plan. But these deals are still hampered by a lack of console stock.
If you’re fine with a less powerful console then you can still get the Xbox Series S from Currys and Box. And you can if you wish to scratch that Xbox product itch.
At the time of writing, finding a strong Xbox Series X restock is incredibly difficult. Despite our best efforts to bring you timely updates, Tom’s Guide can’t guarantee you’ll be able to purchase Microsoft’s flagship console. Nevertheless, we are committed to bringing you up-to-the-minute information on all restocks as soon as they happen.

Effect Of The Global Chip Shortage
Even Intel’s CEO Pat Gelsinger told CNBC that the semiconductor shortage could continue until 2023, as per BusinessInsider. Gelsinger said that although the supply could improve in 2022, a more fair supply-demand balance cannot be expected until 2023.
Luckily, every once in a while, there are still new Xbox Series X restock drops that pop out on major retailers. In order to increase chances of purchasing, it is important to follow an Xbox Series X restock tracker Twitter account to get notifications when new stocks drop.
Is Xbox One Dead
No. Its true that the Xbox one sold poorly compared to Sonys PlayStation 4, but in many ways the Xbox series X marks a shift in how Microsoft views the traditional console cycle. Rather than thinking in generations and hardware, the company is now focusing on providing ongoing access to games as a subscription service, similar to how Netflix or Spotify operates.
Game Pass is Microsofts on-demand games platform, giving players access to over 100 full games for a monthly fee. Microsoft is investing heavily in its subscription offering, snapping up large games publishers like Bethesda in a bid to bolster its library of titles and lure players away from Sonys rival PlayStation Now service.
Even the very latest games on Game Pass are designed to be compatible with previous consoles as well as next-generation ones, so that over time, owning the newest hardware becomes less important for the majority of players. Older generations of Xbox are expected to dodge the landfill for a while yet.

Xbox Series X Stock Will Reportedly Be Improved For The Holiday Season
If you’re someone who still hasn’t been able to track down an Xbox Series X or S console for yourself, it sounds like your luck could be changing within the next couple of months. According to a new report, those at Microsoft are looking to ensure that both versions of its new console line are more readily available for purchase throughout the Christmas season. And while it remains to be seen just how high this supposed stock will be, it seems like good fortune could soon be coming to a number of fans that have been holding out.
News on this new stock of the Xbox Series X comes by way of video game industry reporter Christopher Dring. In a recent message on Twitter, Dring said that he has been hearing that Xbox is looking to bolster the stock of available Xbox Series X consoles that it has in the holiday season. Dring cites that the two major first-party games that Xbox will soon be releasing, Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5, has led the company to look to make its next-gen platform more readily available to buy. “Microsoft will utilize those games and Game Pass as the key hardware selling points during the Christmas sales window,” Dring explained.
