The last Best Buy PS5 and Xbox Series X restock was Thursday, June 3, as TechRadar had previously reported accurately. The electronics retailer also sold RTX 3080 Ti GPU stock in person at stores on the same date, but this Best Buy PS5 and Xbox restock today was online-only and happened in two short waves starting at 9:37am EDT.
It’s gotten harder to nail down when Best Buy will restock news simply because it went from consistently launching orders at midday on Fridays , to opening up orders on Thursdays afternoons , to having a restock on a Monday morning . Now we’re back to Thursdays .

Target Xbox Series X Restock
The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are both marked as “sold out” on the Target website after customers were previously directed to check inventory at stores within a 50-mile radius.
Some gamers believe this could be a sign that Target may be getting ready to release more next-gen consoles, as retailers sometimes update their websites shortly before a drop.
Is Xbox Live Down Today
It’s bad timing for Xbox Live to be down, as this is a huge weekend for Microsoft and the Xbox brand. While E3 2022 is canceled, Microsoft will be hosting an E3-equivalent presentation called the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on Sunday, June 12 at 10am PT. The showcase is said to be about 95 minutes long and will focus on a variety of upcoming games that are in development for Xbox consoles. Heavy hitters are expected to make an appearance at the show, so Xbox fans should be sure to tune in.
Unfortunately, if these Xbox Live problems persist, Xbox gamers may have difficulty watching the showcase on their console. The Sony Direct PS5 restock was two weeks ago today, and we’ve known that it was going to be the last one for some time simply because our Twitter replies indicated that many of the lucky PS5 buyers received ‘delayed shipment’ notices. This usually means that Sony Direct will halt PS5 sales for the foreseeable future. And here were are two weeks later without another PS5 drop from Sony Direct.
It’s nearly time for Sony’s official store for the PlayStation brand to sell PS5 consoles again, judging from previous instances in which a shipment delay put the retailer on hiatus. The good news about Sony Direct PS5 restocks are they’re usually fairer than other stores thanks to a virtual queue that randomizes who gets to buy the PS5.
There’s no indication of a Sony Direct PS5 restock this week .
Xbox Series X Restock Avoid The Scalpers
One of the reasons for Xbox Series X and Series S stock shortages is due to scalpers snapping up large amounts of next-gen consoles in one big sweep and then selling them for extortionate prices were taking thousands of dollars for a $499 games console.
VGC reported that a now infamous PS5 scalper group going by the name of CrepChiefNotify managed to snap up 1,000 Xbox Series X consoles as soon as they became available at U.K. retailer Very. But in a twist of fate, Very cancelled 1,000 Xbox Series X pre-orders, somewhat torpedoing the efforts of the scalpers.
As frustrating as it can be to find an Xbox Series X or Series S, we suggest you avoid buying a console from these scalpers. Paying massively over the odds for a console that doesn’t have a huge range of new Xbox Series X games isnt a shrewd move in our opinion. If you can hold out, Microsoft should have more Xbox Series X units to ship, as well as the promise of more exclusive games for the console.

Approximately 12 hours after Xbox Support announced the outage as being resolved, new issues in the same areas began to be reported by players. Although operating on a smaller scale than the earlier major outage, many players are still struggling to make purchases, launch and maintain Xbox Cloud Gaming sessions, and launching and playing digital games. Nearly four hours later, and the situation hasn’t improved.
Xbox Support has suggested that some players may see an improvement with playing their digital games after rebooting their Xbox . The Xbox Network team is aware of the issue and is actively investigating it, although this marks the second day the Xbox Network has experienced significant problems.

Link Your Discord Account To Your Xbox
To get started, open the guide by pressing the Xbox button on your console, then go to Parties & chats and click Try Discord Voice on Xbox. Youll see an option to scan a QR code. The QR code will take you to the Discord and Xbox apps to connect and set up a two-way link between your Discord account and Xbox. If you have it installed, the Xbox app will launch and let you connect the Discord Voice chat to your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console. Xbox Series X Will Be In Short Supply Until At Least June Microsoft Admits
Demand for Microsofts latest Xbox Series X console is high, but supply isnt likely to keep up until at least through June now. In an interview with The New York Times, Microsofts head of investor relations, Mike Spencer, revealed supply of its new Xbox consoles will be constrained at least through June.
Microsoft had warned that the Xbox Series X would be in short supply until at least April or beyond, and its now clear the wait for stock is going to continue for longer. The difficult supply situation does mean that Microsoft sold every Xbox unit it had last quarter, during a quarter it hit $5 billion in gaming revenue for the first time ever.
Its been incredibly difficult to buy an Xbox Series X, PS5, or even the latest AMD and Nvidia GPUs in recent months. These shortages look set to continue through most of 2021, with AMD CEO Lisa Su warning there might not be capacity until the second half of the year. The industry does need to increase the overall capacity levels, said Su on an earnings call last week. And so we do see some tightness through the first half of the year, but theres added capacity in the second half. AMD saw supply constraints in the PC market, particularly the low end, and in gaming toward the end of 2020.

How To Set Up Xbox Cloud Gaming
Press the Steam button to bring up the Steam Menu, then select Power > Switch to Desktop.
Select the Discover Software Center icon on the taskbar.
In Discover Software Center, select Applications > Internet > Web Browsers.
Find Microsoft Edge in the list of apps and select Install.
Once it’s installed, close Discover Software Center, return to the Desktop, and select Application Launcher.
Select Internet, then right-click on Microsoft Edge and select Add to Steam.
In the Add a Game window, scroll to find Microsoft Edge, check the box next to it, and select Add Selected Programs.
Back on the Desktop, select Application Launcher> System > Konsole .
Edge will need to be able to access your Steam Deck controls with udev, so we need to give it override access. Set it by entering this command and pressing Enter:flatpak –user override –filesystem=/run/udev:ro com.microsoft.EdgeThen enter exit and press Enter to close Konsole.

Is It Safe To Buy An Xbox From An Unofficial Source
There are some places where you can safely buy an Xbox secondhand. If you’re shopping at eBay or StockX, there are protections in place to keep you from spending money and getting nothing.
- Stay away from Twitter links: If you see something on Twitter about an Xbox Series X restock happening somewhere, your best bet is to go straight to the retailer instead of clicking a link. In many cases, those Twitter links have turned out to be scams.

Despite launching over 14 months ago, the Xbox Series X is still incredibly hard to find. That’s unheard of not only in the gaming world, but in the entire universe of consumer electronics high-profile devices like games consoles or new smartphones are often in short supply shorty after launch, but supply constraints are usually sorted out within weeks. This time it’s different.
COVID-19 has caused manufacturing delays, resulting in a global chip shortage affecting everything from smartphones and smartwatches to consoles and cars. Add in the sustained high demand from millions of people plunged into lockdowns or forced to self-isolate, and you’ve got a perfect storm for console shortages.
