When Will The Xbox Series X And Series S Be Easy To Find
The Xbox Series X and Series S launched on November 10, 2020, and have been in short supply ever since. This supply shortage, which also affects Sonys PlayStation 5, PC graphics cards and other components, as well as microprocessors used in vehicle production and other electronics-based devices, is widespread, related to Covid-19 and other production problems, and is likely to persist throughout 2021. The Xbox Series S has recently become easier to find, though its often out of stock. We expect it will be difficult to find an Xbox Series X until some time in 2022.

A new generation of video game consoles has been out for more than a year, though stock shortages continue. The Xbox One is no more, replaced by a pair of new Xbox consoles. The $500 Xbox Series X and the $300 Xbox Series S are both based on a similar foundation, and both will play all of the same games for years to come. But each model targets a different level of speed and graphics performance, and with that in mind, were here to help you figure out which one you should buyor, if you need to buy one at all.

Xbox Series X Review: Backwards Compatibility
In the run-up to the release of the Xbox Series X, backwards compatibility was touted a lot by Microsoft, as well as keen Xbox gamers. Such was the hype, I had steeled myself for disappointment. But I neednt have worried as backwards compatibility on the Xbox Series X is superb.
Simply put, getting an Xbox game from any generation to run on the Xbox Series X is just a case of getting the disc and popping it into the console. If the game is backwards compatible, and many should be, then itll begin an installation process. If you have access to Xbox Game Pass, then you can simply download any game thats listed on the service that dates back as far as the original Xbox.
These games wont immediately be able to put the graphical horsepower of the Series X to use, if ever. But the fact they can be installed directly to the consoles SSD means theyll load up in seconds. And any games that used to run badly on older hardware, should at least be a little smoothed out.
There are limits in that a game locked at 30 frames per second wont suddenly run at 60 fps or more unless it gets optimized. I found that to be the case with Red Dead Redemption, which runs at 4K/30 fps on the Series X, much like it did on the One X. Throwing Assassin’s Creed 2 in the Series X results in a game that loads a lot faster and feels smoother than it ever did on the Xbox 360.

Better Graphics On Old Games Great Graphics On New Games
The Xbox Series X and Series S feature a new generation of graphics hardware that is more capable than the components of previous consoles in a variety of ways. In most titles, you can expect higher resolutions, higher frame rates, and more detailed characters and environments compared to the same games on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, all with better image quality. Effects should also be more pronounced and sophisticated, as the new graphics hardware in these consoles can pull off greater amounts of fancy tricks like smoke and fog that has physical properties, and lighting that creates shadows and reflections more like it does in the real world.
What Is The Online Multiplayer In Crossfirex

Crossfire sees players join one of the world’s two most dangerous private military factions, Global Risk or Black List, and battle it out in a variety of fast-paced game modes. Gameplay-wise, Crossfire shares some similarities with Counterstrike: Global Offensive, a tactical shooter more popular in Western markets. Crossfire does feature its own unique twists and mechanics alongside a wide selection of weapons and gear to choose from, and CrossfireX will expand on this with a bevy of new features.
We do know that CrossfireX will feature Legendary Mercenaries, high-powered operatives with unique abilities and powers. Players can play as these Legendary Mercenaries with exemplary performance in CrossfireX matches, as rewards at the end of kill or death streaks. This is all part of the Tactical Growth System, a series of in-game mechanics that lets players evolve over the course of matches.
It’s not clear exactly how CrossfireX will be when it comes to progression, customization, and monetization. There will be a customization system in place that will likely let players personalize their operatives and weapons, but we have yet to see it in action. We do know that CrossfireX will feature multiplayer seasons that will add new content, likely capped by Battle Passes to reward you for playing. The CrossfireX campaign will be available as part of a Premium Battle Pass when CrossfireX initially launches.

3D Spatial Sound is the next evolution in audio technology, using advanced algorithms to create immersive lifelike worlds that put you at the center of your experience.

Where Is Gta 6
GTA 6 simply isn’t ready yet. While we know almost nothing about the next entry in the series, these games are grand undertakings for massive worldwide development teams. Red Dead Redemption 2, of course, was Rockstar’s last major project, and expecting GTA 6 so soon after that is unrealistic.
In the meantime, GTA Online has an enormous audience, and the game is sustained by continuing sales of GTA 5 and in-game currency. Rockstar likely wants to maintain that interest between generations until GTA 6 is finally ready.

The Nintendo Switch has been out for almost five years now, but despite this it is still beating the newer PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles when it comes to raw sales figures in 2021. According to VGChartz, this year the Switch sold a whopping 22.3million units worldwide as it closes in on 100million units sold since first launching in March 2017, while the PS5 has sold 11.7million consoles this year with 7.59million units of the Xbox Series X | S being shifted in 2021. Of course, the Nintendo Switch has been widely available unlike the PS5 and Xbox Series X with restocks for these consoles still being snapped up at last fast speeds a year after first hitting shelves. Despite this, the Switch sales figures are still mightily impressive.

What Are The Confirmed And Rumored Xbox Series X Games
What About Xbox Series S
Codenamed Project Lockhart, the Xbox Series S, is the cheaper, digital-only alternative to the new Xbox Series X.
The lower-cost console had been rumoured for a while along with the disc-less feature, and faster CPU. Think PS4 Pro without the disc dive. Microsoft has said that Xbox Series X will be part of a family of consoles and it seems they were true to their word.

Xbox Series X Price: Streaming Apps
Pre-launch, Microsoft confirmed which streaming apps are available on the Xbox Series X. The big news? The list includes the Apple TV app. That puts the console on a par with Sony’s PS5.
The consoles also run all streaming apps currently available for the Xbox One consoles, with a few exceptions. The BBC iPlayer app didn’t work on Xbox Series X/S at launch but Microsoft has now rectified that.
So far the list includes :

Major Xbox Games In Development With No Release Year Or A Post

“Coming soon” can mean anything from a few months to a couple of years. Beyond Good and Evil 2, Diablo 4, Dragon Age 4, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 are all in development, but players will have to wait patiently to learn when these games will be made available to play. Projects like the new Bungie IP are still a long way off from becoming a reality however, at least the studios have confirmed they are working on them.

What Is The Singleplayer Campaign In Crossfirex
Not a lot is known about CrossfireX’s singleplayer campaign beyond the fact that it’s being developed by Remedy. The campaign will be set in the same universe as Crossfire and CrossfireX’s multiplayer portions, but will be functionally different in a variety of ways to support its narrative purpose.
CrossfireX will further explore the “why” behind the Global Risk and Black List conflict and let players dive into the global war between the two factions. CrossfireX’s campaign will feature two major halves, Operation Catalyst and Operation Spectre, each of which includes unique missions and stories from both sides of the war.
We’re expecting the CrossfireX campaign to play similarly to the multiplayer portions, but the game being developed by Remedy means there will undoubtedly be a variety of differences. We know that the campaign will feature unique objectives and missions, as well as special abilities and mechanics that may not be available in the multiplayer.
Hopefully, as we get closer to launch, we’ll continue to learn more about how CrossfireX will tackle the momentous task of breaking down its storied world. If you want to play the CrossfireX campaign, it’ll be available as part of a Premium Battle Pass when the free-to-play multiplayer portion releases .
Xbox Series X Stock Updates: Where To Buy The New Xbox Consoles
ByBrendan Griffiths, Tabitha Bakerpublished 13 December 21
Looking to buy an Xbox Series X? This guide has the latest stock updates at a wide range of retailers.
Xbox Series X restocks have slowed considerably in recent weeks, and we’re now into the final countdown for those keen to pick up a console before the holidays. While no retailers have let any restock rumors slip at time of writing, there’s always the possibility of stumbling across more Xbox Series X stock. We’d recommend keeping your search alive between 1pm ET and 6pm ET and staying in touch with retailers and trackers on social media.
We certainly hope some more Xbox Series X restocks are on the way over the next week, anyway – it’s actually harder to find a Series X right now than it is a PS5 restock . With that in mind, we’ve put together all the advice we can on where to buy Xbox Series X… or how to give yourself the best odds of success, at least.
In general, though, we wouldn’t expect Xbox Series X restock woes to end any time soon. With Microsoft itself announcing that shortages will likely continue well into 2022, it doesn’t look like these supply issues will let up any time soon.
Keep checking back on this guide if you’re not successful right away, as we’ll be updating it next time we get warnings of Xbox Series X stock coming online.

Xbox Series X Optimized
Xbox Series X Optimized games should have an icon in your game library denoting that theyre optimized.
A handful of Xbox One games have been optimized for the Xbox Series X. These titles have been upgraded or built with the Xbox Series X in mind, in order to make the most of the consoles power and boy, do they show it.
We tested a few Optimized titles including Gears 5, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, The Falconeer, and Dirt 5, and found that these games boasted minimal loading times, improved stability, and considerably enhanced visuals.
For example, Gears 5 on Xbox Series X boasts ray tracing and 4K at 60fps, making the campaign mode look better than ever before, and load faster. Its immediately more immersive, thanks to more stable frame rates and a lack of loading screen walls. The difference is even more noticeable in Gears 5s multiplayer, which allows for 4K at 120fps, resulting in buttery smooth performance that feels much more responsive and which is critical in online multiplayer. With Dolby Atmos support as well, the game is a brilliant showcase for the Xbox Series Xs unbottled power.
What Is Crossfirex For Xbox
CrossfireX is the sequel to a long-running first-person shooter-made-franchise with incredible popularity in Asia and other countries the original Crossfire has gathered a massive gathering of loyal players to its free-to-play multiplayer. CrossfireX promises to be bigger and grander than its predecessor and takes advantage of current-gen gaming technologies and power. Combining its traditional free-to-play online multiplayer with an all-new single-player campaign, CrossfireX looks to make an exciting entry into the current generation of gaming.
First introduced back at E3 2019, CrossfireX’s legendary free-to-play online multiplayer is being developed by Smilegate Entertainment, the studio behind the original Crossfire. Both portions of CrossfireX will be published in a partnership between Smilegate and Xbox Global Publishing at Microsoft, as the title lands on Xbox consoles ahead of any other platforms.

Xbox Series X Review: Features And Controller
Xbox gamers will find the Series X controller very familiar.
The Xbox Series X comes with the new design wireless Xbox Controller, which anyone who has spent any time with an Xbox One console will be very familiar with. The new controller essentially shares the same design as the previous model, but has a few more design elements from the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller 2, which grants it a slightly more premium and mature aesthetic.
In the hand, this controller is as comfortable as ever, and comes with nice details like textured triggers and bumpers , and an updated hybrid D-pad that has been optimised for faster and smoother inputs.
The D-pad had been redesigned on the Series X controller.
As before, too, you get share, menu, and options buttons on this new wireless controller, which quickly allow you to record your gaming sessions, and access options. Naturally, the Xbox power button on the controller remains, as too do the XYBA button config, and dual thumbstick design.
The controller’s finish is the same, slightly coarse, matte black that past Xbox controllers have used, which looks clean and mature and isn’t too slippery. It does tend to attract finger smudge marks though, so for those gamers who like to keep their kit looking box fresh, regular cleaning will be in order.
Direct wired connections are handled by a USB Type-C port.
I personally have never had a single controller with fixed batteries die on me
The Xbox Series X controller is powered by two AA batteries.
