When in 2020 will rust come to console?

The Only Aim In Rust Is To Survive

A game without rules, Rust doesnt tell you what to do. Conquer thirst and hunger, weather the elements, and create the tools necessary for survival. Be prepared for challenging player vs. player combat, raiding and looting, or forge alliances with other players to overcome the obstacles you share. Explore, fight, survive.

Is Rust Coming To Ps5 And Xbox Series X

At this time, Rust is only confirmed for PS4 and Xbox One. These systems were reaffirmed as the only two ports upon the announcement of a Spring release window. The console ports were announced before PS5 and Xbox Series X were fully unveiled, so it makes sense that Facepunch and Double Eleven didn’t consider them initially.

Now that the game is releasing in 2021 though, a next-gen release is highly desirable. Double Eleven seems to be sticking by just doing PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, so players will need to rely on backward compatibility to play it.

Rust Will Be Coming To Xbox One In 2020

Facepunch Studios’ open world sandbox game is coming to Xbox One and slated to launch in 2020.

If youve ever wanted to get your sandbox clan together and go on Rust raids on Xbox One, youll get your chance next year. The open-world sandbox is coming to the console in 2020.

We learned at X019 during the flurry of announcements that Rust would be among the many games coming to Xbox One. The game wasnt given a firm release date during its brief appearance during the X019 livestream. It was really little more than a little video on the game and a graphic confirming Xbox One release next year.

Nonetheless, the game derived from DayZ and Minecraft has come into its own and built up an audience on PC with regular updates since its launch on Early Access in 2013. Players will be able to take their survival journey over to the Xbox One sometime next year. Theres no word on if PC and Xbox players will be able to play with each other yet either

This is a developing story. Stay tuned to Shacknews as further information becomes available regarding Rust on Xbox One.

Is Rust Still Coming To Xbox One & Xbox Series X

Rust on Console News Update December 2020

In a statement from Double Eleven, the company made it clear that Rust is still being made for consoles. The survival game is simply delayed, and development seems to be making steady progress. Even with the obstacles faced by Double Eleven and Facepunch Studios, though, it appears that Rust will be releasing on Xbox consoles fairly soon. The announcement indicates a release window of 2021, although a specific date wasn’t shared.

Of course, the global pandemic is still ongoing, so further development delays may occur as a result. The PC version of Rust continues to get regular updates, which indicates the studio is still developing content at a steady rate. Most likely, a late 2021 release date is imminent for Rust on Xbox One and Xbox Series X. However, additional and unexpected delays could push the console version of the game into 2022.

Until an exact release date is shared, fans are only left with a 2021 release window for Rust. Thankfully, the survival game is already available on PC, and Xbox users have some great alternatives to play while they wait. Hopefully, fans of the game won’t have to wait too much longer before Rust releases on Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

A Brief History Of Rust

Developed by the minds behind Garrys Mod, Rust began life as an eerily similar game to DayZ when the survival genre boom was really kicking off. Zombies were part of early plans, but were scrapped.

Rust released into Early Access on Steam on 11 December, 2013 and would stay there until 2018 when it was finally fully released. Rust was a big commercial success from the off, easily eclipsing the revenue of Garrys Mod within no time at all. Early reception was mixed, though reviewers and players noted that it had potential.

The game went through many different ideas and iterations in Early Access, including changing the blueprints system for something closer to an XP system, though this was not received well by the community and reverted at full launch.

Since its full release, Facepunch have released a regular stream of updates for Rust, some of which include ride-able horses, air travel, scuba diving, and AI-controlled areas where players could trade in peace.

In 2020, Rust is regularly a feature of Steams most played and is raking in the cash for Facepunch.

Is Rust Coming To Consoles

When is Rust coming to PS4? A Rust PS4 release date has been confirmed for 2021. Sadly, the game has now been delayed beyond its 2020 launch window. The highly popular survival game is making its way to the PS4 after years of fans clamouring for it and much discussion over whether it would happen at all.

Then in December 2020, developers Facepunch Studios and Double Eleven released a blog post confirming the delay: “We love making great games and bringing them to new audiences, but that sometimes means taking a bit longer to get it right than we originally planned and comes at the unfortunate cost of the disappointment and trust of those who were so keen to play it upon launch,” the blog post said.

The game was rated by the ESRB in January, and a closed beta for the console ports was subsequently held. Clearly, this was all building toward a May release.

When Is Rust Coming To Ps4 And Xbox One

When Rust for PS4 and Xbox One was announced, all we received was a tentative release window of 2020, and that it will be developed alongside Double Even. However, in late 2020 with no news on a release date in sight, Double Eleven announced that it would instead be releasing in 2021.

Beyond that, its hard to really pinpoint a release date for Rust on consoles as we havent actually seen anything of the game yet its reveal trailer for consoles featured PC gameplay. Who knows how far along in production the port is.

Speaking tentatively, wed look to Rust to come to consoles during Q3/Q4 2021, though dont be surprised to see it maybe even earlier. Wed also be very surprised if Xbox Series X | S and PS5 versions dont also get announced.

Brutal Survival Multiplayer Rust Coming To Consoles In 2020

·Cosmin Vasile··

Developer Facepunch announced over the weekend that their brutal and competitive multiplayer survival game Rust is making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Announced at Microsofts X019 in London, the game will be released on consoles next year at a date that will be announced later on.

Console players will be able to play online with up to 100 others, but there’s no work on cross-platform support yet. Rust was initially released via Steam Early Access six years ago, during which time eight million players have populated its world making it one of the most played games on Steam.

In Rust, there is one goal above everything else: survive. Featuring brutal survival mechanics like thirst and hunger, Rust doesn’t lack combat and crafting elements. You can create clothing and stay safe against hostile forces including other players, scientists, bears, wolves or even succumb to fire, drowning or radiation poisoning.

Rust is a game without rules since it doesnt tell players what to do. You are free to be deceptive and aggressive with intense player vs. player combat, raiding and looting, but there is potentially even more to be earned with a team of friendly players by your side.
