Xbox Game Pass is the ever-expanding Netflix-like gaming subscription from Microsoft, the makers of Xbox. For a monthly subscription, Xbox Game Pass partakers gain access to a constantly rotating catalog of hundreds of high-quality Xbox games. The best Xbox Game Pass games include third-party multiplayer games, older AAA titles, indie projects, all first-party Microsoft games, and pretty much everything in between.
Xbox Game Pass is also included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, an all-in-one subscription that gives players full access to Xbox Game Pass on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One consoles, PC, Xbox Live Gold, Xbox Cloud Gaming , and even EA Play. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate represents one of the best values in gaming, and that value only increases from month to month.
That’s because Xbox Game Pass is always adding new games, with announcements once or twice a month. While games occasionally leave the service, the number of games available through Xbox Game Pass has been steadily growing since its launch. In this Xbox Game Pass guide, we’ll go over all the new games coming to the service, the games about to leave, and the top games on which you should be keeping an eye.

Xbox Series X Design: What Does The Xbox Series X Look Like
A trailer revealed what the new Xbox Series X looks like and it has a whole new look. The shape of the device is different from its predecessor, oblong in shape and when upright looking more like a gaming PC with a prominent curved grill on top- its a good looking console.
The Xbox Series X has an upright tower design like a gaming PC, but you can sit it horizontally as well vertically. The console in the trailer is black with cooling vent indents on the top. The light inside looks green. The logo is in the top left-hand corner and theres a disc drive vertically.
Port wise theres the HDMI 2.1 output port, three USB 3.2 ports, one networking port and an expanded storage slot and a power input port.
Size wise its 15.1cm x 151.cm and 30.1cm and weighs 4.45kg/9/8lbs.
What Are The Xbox Series X Launch Games
Usually the first things anyone asks about a new console is what games are being released for it, but with the Xbox Series X/S thats a bit of vexed question. Microsoft has always made it clear that it does not intend to release any games that will run exclusively on Xbox Series X/S until a year or two after it first launches.
The reasoning behind this has always been vague, with Microsoft at one point claiming that it views console exclusives as anti-consumer, but the real problem with the Xbox Series X/S launch is that there are no first party games at all, after Halo Infinite was ridiculed for how it looked and delayed until at least next year.
There are a few minor third party exclusives, such as Bright Memory: Infinite and The Falconeer but all the biggest name games being released this month are multiformat, and so also available on the PlayStation 4 and/or 5.
Some of these, like Dirt 5 and Yakuza: Like A Dragon weve already reviewed, while others, like Assassins Creed Valhalla, will be coming in the next few days. All are fundamentally current generation games though, with the Xbox Series X/S versions being modest upgrades at best.
Games will benefit from being playing on Xbox Series X/S even without a dedicated update though, at least in terms of faster loading which can make a major difference in some games.
Heres a list of all the games that will be released on Tuesday, November 10 though, including optimised titles that already exist.

Xbox Series X Xbox Live
Xbox Live has always been the backbone of the Xbox ecosystem and a new generation would traditionally introduce new innovations to the service. Last generation, Microsoft used the Xbox One launch to raise the friends list from 100 to 1000, made a number of quality-of-life improvements, and built a ‘Smart Match’ system that sought to improve matchmaking. Given how closely the Xbox Series X is intertwined with the Xbox One in service of forwards and backwards compatibility, we aren’t seeing the same degree of innovation or evolution. Everything has to be consistent across both generations, and across platforms encompassing PC and Android devices thanks to xCloud and Remote Play.
With the Xbox Series X wired into the broader Xbox ecosystem, you’ll find that there are no new restrictions on who you can play with, party with, or send messages to. Xbox Live recognises Xbox Series X as another console on the network and, as a result, I haven’t experienced any problems jumping into rounds of Fortnite or Call of Duty: Warzone with Xbox One and PS4 players, nor did I notice any problems or disadvantages when playing Gears 5 multiplayer at 120fps with Xbox One players who are locked to 60fps.
Xbox Series X Vs Series S
The Xbox Series X isnt the only console in the new Xbox lineup, with the cheaper all-digital Xbox Series S also now available. It doesnt have quite the same raw power, but it might be a much better buy for gamers on a budget .
The Xbox Series S has the same CPU as the Xbox Series X, but with a much less powerful GPU. The console is still more powerful than an Xbox One X, but targets 60fps at 1440p instead of native 4K like the Xbox Series X. It can still be upscaled to 4K, and supports framerates of up to 120fps.
The Xbox Series S has all the same features of the Series X, but with less GPU power to target 1440p at 60fps.
Removing the more powerful GPU hardware and the disk drive has enabled the Xbox team to reduce the consoles size by 60% compared to the Xbox Series X. This will make it a much more comfortable fit in most entertainment centers, and it doesnt come at the cost of loud fans or poor heat dispersion.
Apart from the resolution and size, the two consoles share all the same new features mentioned above, like Quick Resume, an upgraded SSD, ray tracing, and more. Its the cheapest way to access next-gen hardware and games, although you wont get pure next-gen resolutions. Check out our full comparison at the article below.

Best Xbox Steering Wheel Hori Racing Wheel Overdrive: 10499 Gamecouk
There are more sophisticated and elaborate racing wheels for the Xbox series X but the full-size Hori wheel is built from the ground up to work perfectly with Microsofts next-gen console.
It has a simple design belying superb build quality and durability, and can be clamped to a table for a secure ride. Shifting paddles and turn ratios can all be customised in terms of function and sensitivity, and the wheel comes with a set of foot pedals for a complete racing simulation.
Xbox Series X Ui And Dashboard
While the external design of the Xbox Series X is a considerable departure from its predecessors, the console’s UI and dashboard have undergone more subtle changes.
The Xbox Series X dashboard is pretty much the same as the Xbox Ones. The main reason for this is because Microsoft rolled out a meaty update to the Xbox One back in August 2020 to make its UI more streamlined, and to converge it with that of the Xbox Series X.
That means the Xbox Series X UI still has a tiled layout, with customizable pins, so you can choose which games and apps you want to see first on your home screen, and offers easy access to games, apps, party chat and other features via the Xbox button on your controller. It’s a pretty streamlined interface, and allows for plenty of customization options and easy navigation.
Customization seems to be at the heart of the Xbox Series X UI. In addition to being able to move around your pinned games and apps, Microsoft is also letting players express themselves a bit more with the inclusion of new profile themes that act as a background for your profile page. Players can also now finally use dynamic backgrounds, which offers a more personalized home screen option for those who are bored of the Xbox One’s static offering.

Xbox Exlusives In 2022
The first Xbox exclusive on the list is the highly-anticipated S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl. The game has faced many obstacles since it was first announced in 2010. The sequel was officially canceled two years later, before being re-announced in 2018, much to the delight of fans.
The games developer, GSC Game World, recently canceled its plans to include NFTs in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 after facing immediate backlash. Despite these ups and downs, fans of the franchise eagerly await the release of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. sequel on April 28th, 2022, especially since screenshots revealed how amazing the game looks on Epic Games Unreal Engine 5. The Xbox Game Pass website confirms S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl will be coming day one to Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox Series X: Buy Now Or Wait
Have you managed to track down an Xbox Series X restock, which seem to be lasting little longer now we’re more than a year after the console’s launch? Or are you wondering if all the console searching is worth it? Then you may also be asking if the Xbox Series X is worth buying right now?
Before the end of 2021, I may have suggested you waited. But now with the likes of Halo Infinite out and running very nicely on the Series X, I can thoroughly recommend it.
The Xbox Series X may not be cheap and it’s not perfect, but it’s got a much healthier game library and superb backward compatibility , which justifies its price.
One thing to casually note is that Xbox has been tipped to launch new hardware this year, so that could be worth keeping an eye out for.

New Games No Hardware
Say you dont own an Xbox or a gaming PC, but you do have an Android phone. Does Microsoft have any next-gen gaming options for you? Thanks to game streaming, it does. On September 15th, Microsoft added game streaming to Xbox Games Pass Ultimate, which costs $14.99 a month. The feature, which was known previously as xCloud, could give you a way to play many of the biggest Xbox Series X games without having to own any gaming hardware at all. You can stream them to a device as simple as an Android phone, for example .
Game streaming isnt an entirely new idea Sony launched its PlayStation Now service way back in 2014 to a muted response but Microsoft is taking a much more interesting approach. Rather than focusing on older titles, as Sony did with PlayStation Now, Microsoft says its new games will be available to stream the day they release and lists recent first-party titles like Forza Horizon 4, Gears of War 5, Tell Me Why, The Outer Worlds, and Ori and the Will of the Wisps as being among the 150-plus games available to stream at launch.
Microsoft promises to let you stream major Xbox games straight to your phone.
Game streamings future on iPhones is uncertain
A Plague Tale: Requiem
Release date: TBC2022Genre: Action adventure
What is it? A trip back to the rat-infested world of 14th century France with a pair of young siblings
A Plague Tale: Innocence was a lovely rat-packed surprise when it launched back in 2019 but we really didnt expect a sequel from Asobo Studio. A Plague Tale: Requiem though will continue to follow brother and sister duo Hugo and Amicia as they, this time, try and escape a curse. Once again were promised a brutal, uncaring world to explore and the trailer had a literal giant wave of rodents so we know the glittering-eyed beasties will return too. Here we were thinking we could say rats all folks

Upgraded Xbox Series X/s Models Rumored For 2022 & 2023
Moore’s Law Is Dead reports a trustworthy source has confirmed plans for Xbox Series X/S model refreshes to counter plans from Sony.
A rumor has surfaced that Microsoft will release refreshed versions of the Xbox Series Xand S between 2022 and 2023 or beyond to counter Sony’s planned PS5 Slim, with the new model of the Series S supposedly debuting first. The international chip shortage has had an adverse effect on console sales for Microsoft and Sony, but not so much to prevent either company from making sizable profits on their most recent systems. Sony’s executive vice president of hardware commented as far back as late 2019 on the likelihood of a PS5 Pro as part of the PlayStation 5’s six-to-seven year lifecycle, referencing the PS4 Pro as the precedent. Releasing an updated version of a pre-existing console with better hardware and graphics capabilities has become a regular practice in recent years among the Big Three.
Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X in 2017 as a higher-performing, 4K alternative to the original Xbox One, which struggled in sales against its PS4 rival. But Microsoft’s unveil only arrived after Sony’s announcement of the PS4’s own 4K successor, the PS4 Pro. Nintendo has also repeated the practice to a lesser degree with the OLED version of the Switch, though fans still hope for a dedicated Nintendo Switch Pro. Now that rumors of a PS5 Pro model with 8K support have come to light, the same may pan out for updated versions of the Xbox Series X and S.
