Among Us, a popular social deduction game, will be available for Xbox and PlayStation on December 14. The game will also launch on Xbox Game Pass and will be released for Xbox One, Xbox Series S / X, PS4, and PS5 consoles.
The company announced the arrival of the game on Xbox and PlayStation via a post on its official handle. This announcement was first made months after Sony confirmed the arrival of the game to its PlayStation consoles.

Among Usis coming to Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One and Xbox Series X in 2021, Microsoft announced on Thursday, and is now available in the library of games for Xbox Game Pass for PC subscribers.
The quirky, sci-fi social deduction game the structure resembles the paranoia faced by Wilford Brimley, Kurt Russell and others in John Carpenters The Thing launched on Nintendo Switch earlier this week. It launched in 2018 on mobile platforms, and then Windows PC, but became a breakout hit this year with stuck-at-home players, Twitch streamers, and their viewers. This release of Among Us supports crossplay between the Xbox console and Windows versions, will play in 4K Ultra HD on supported hardware, supports online matches with up to 15 players, and comes with a number of Xbox Achievements for players to unlock.
Among Us only costs $4.99 on Xbox consoles and Windows PC but its also available to play for free for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers.

According to Willard, the issue would come down to ways to allow players to communicate, noting that they’d need to integrate “a system for quick comms”.
Given the complexity of the information being relayed, it’s unlikely you’d use a radial menu like Rocket League, and even something more precise like Apex Legends’ ping system could be ill-equipped.
That means voice chat would likely be key, but not everyone is comfortable with it or would be able to use it. On PC, many players use Discord to communicate, for example.
In any case, it’s good to know that the team is considering it, and while it may be a little way away, we’re sure it’ll be worth the wait.
The team recently announced a sequel to the game was in development, before cancelling it shortly after.
“The main reason we are shooting for a sequel is because the codebase of Among Us 1 is so outdated and not built to support adding so much new content,” the Innersloth website reads.
“However, seeing how many people are enjoying Among Us 1 really makes us want to be able to support the game and take it to the next level.”
