Xbox Series X Specifications And Features
Microsoft says the Xbox Series X is about twice as strong as the Xbox One X and more than eight times as powerful as the original Xbox One released in 2013. The Series X also boasts significantly faster load times thanks to a new solid state hard drive. The SSD enables new features like Quick Resume, which lets you save multiple games in a suspended state similar to rest mode.
Another new feature is “Smart Delivery” a process that lets Xbox owners swap between the Series X and Xbox One versions of games, like “Halo Infinite” and “Gears 5,” to get the best possible quality on both consoles with no extra cost.
Because of smart delivery, Microsoft says there won’t be any games that are truly exclusive to the Xbox Series X for a year or longer. Every new Xbox release in 2020 will still be available on Xbox One, but the Series X versions will have improved visuals thanks to Smart Delivery.
What Is Minecraft On Xbox Series X
The Xbox Series X and S represent the beginning of a new generation of console gaming, with powerful evolutionary hardware pushing groundbreaking features that we haven’t seen in the console space yet, like faster SSD storage, ray tracing, and more reliable performance even with upgraded visuals. Minecraft, being one of Microsoft’s biggest and most successful franchises, will work on the Xbox Series X|S from day one through the platform’s impressive backward compatibility program, even if it doesn’t immediately support all of the latest features that the Xbox Series X|S can utilize for next-gen games.
Don’t expect a “Minecraft 2” or even a specific version of Minecraft built from the ground up for Xbox Series X|S. Instead, if Minecraft does receive an update to help it take advantage of next-gen hardware, Mojang Studios will leverage the power and flexibility of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
This more modern version of Minecraft currently spans Xbox One, Windows 10, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS platforms with one code base and feature set across all of them. This is all possible due to the Bedrock foundation and the Render Dragon engine, which allows Minecraft: Bedrock Edition to dynamically conform to whatever platform you’re playing on with the same great experience and gameplay with which you’re familiar.

There’s a good reason Microsoft’s new consoles are flying off shelves. In our Xbox Series X review, we gave the new system major props for its blistering performance, zippy load times and comprehensive backwards compatibility with every generation of Xbox. And as we noted in our Xbox Series S review, the cheaper next-gen Xbox still delivers many of the same great features for those with 1080p TVs.

What Is Ray Tracing For Minecraft On Xbox Series X
Ray tracing is one of those vague gaming terms that doesn’t concern the vast majority of gamers. However, when properly used, ray tracing can have real effects on how a game looks, particularly in the atmosphere department. On games that are already meant to be photo-realistic, ray tracing allows them to take it to the next level by accurately portraying lighting instead of simply “guessing” as was commonplace before. It’s very complicated, but fortunately, we’re here to break it all down.
Ray tracing, down at its core, requires three things to work: capable hardware, supported drivers and software, and a game built with ray tracing in mind. With Xbox Series X|S, all three of these things will be present, with ray tracing being touted as an essential next-gen feature for both the Xbox Series X|S and the PS5. Minecraft could be one of the games to support real-time ray tracing at some point in the future.
Now, it should be noted that Minecraft with ray tracing already exists, and it looks incredible, completely altering the look and feel of this over-10-year-old game. We even paired Minecraft with ray tracing and an NVIDIA RTX 3060 for even more beautiful results. However, Minecraft with ray tracing is currently available only for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Windows 10 when paired with high-end NVIDIA RTX GPUs.

Xbox Series X White Version Pre
Xbox Series X pre-orders came and went almost in an instant, selling out pretty quickly across the board.
As there are no updates on a white variant of the next-gen console, we cant say anything about the pre-orders. We might expect these pre-orders to be less hectic than the September scramble for Xbox/PS5 pre-orders, but this might be slightly optimistic.
With scalpers eager to get their hands on any limited-edition gaming products to resell on eBay, the pre-order window could once again leave a lot of fans empty-handed and disappointed.

Special Edition Blue Bundle
- Main article: Xbox 360 E Special Edition Blue Bundle
Approximately one year after the release of the standard Xbox 360 E, a Special Edition Blue Bundle was released. This was the only alternate variant of the Xbox 360 E that was released and the very last Xbox 360 model to be produced.
Approximately 10000 and 50000 models of this variant were made. The bundle included a Special Edition Blue console, which included a 500GB hard drive which was the most storage available in any Xbox 360 model. A standard 500GB Xbox 360 E was eventually released not long after the Blue console. A matching controller, copies of , and one month of Xbox Live Gold were also included in the bundle.

Xbox Series X Review: Ports
Keeping with the clean look, the Xbox Series X has only a USB 3.1 Type-A port and a Blu-ray disc drive on the consoles front. There’s also a wireless controller pairing button. That makes it very easy to quickly plug in a controller to charge, or an external hard drive to transfer games and saves to and from the Series X.
Around the back of the Series X, theres a much wider port selection. Youll find one HDMI 2.1 port: crucial for gaming at 8K, and allowing TVs with 120 Hz panels to take advantage of the 120 frames per second frame rate for certain games. There are also two more USB 3.1 ports – handy for external storage that you plan to keep connected to your console – as well as an Ethernet port and Kensington lock.;
Theres no optical audio connection or HDMI-in port, like there were on the Xbox One and One X. However, dropping optical audio is likely to be a pain for only people with powerful audio systems, and the HDMI connection can still carry Dolby Atmos and surround sound signals. Were not really sure if many people used the HDMI-in, so dropping it from the Series X isnt a big deal. It also avoids any chance of plugging an HDMI cable into the wrong port, then wondering why your TV isnt getting a signal: something that’s happened to me before.;
The most noteworthy port however, is the expansion slot. This is for the proprietary external PCIe 4.0 SSD that will let you expand the Series X with an extra 1 TB of speedy storage.
Xbox Series X Price: Streaming Apps
Microsoft has confirmed which streaming apps are available on the Xbox Series X. The big news? The Apple TV app is available from day one. That puts the console on a par with Sony’s PS5.
Microsoft also confirmed that the consoles will run all streaming apps currently available for the Xbox One consoles, with a few exceptions. The BBC iPlayer app didn’t work on Xbox Series X/S at launch but Microsoft has now rectified that.

What Can The Xbox Series X Do Thats New
The Xbox Series X is being marketed as the most powerful console ever made, which means not just better graphics in general but the ability to use advanced features usually only seen on high-end PCs.
Native 4K resolution is now relatively easy to achieve for all Xbox Series X games, as is a 60fps frame rate. That does push the consoles abilities though and in many games you have to make a choice between one or the other. Thats also true of ray-tracing, which is a more realistic way of replicating the way light behaves in the real world and means that reflections in puddles, glass, and other shiny objects is much more realistic than ever seen before.
These features are also available with the PlayStation 5, as is super-fast loading courtesy of a SSD. A solid-state drive is a much faster type of hard drive that means games load from scratch in around five to 10 seconds and restarting a game after dying typically takes only one to three seconds, although it does depend on the game.
Quick resume is another neat trick that means even if you turn off your console itll switch back on in exactly the spot in the game you left it, so theres no longer any need to worry if you need to nip out for a minute .
Microsoft Movies & Tv / Microsoft Films & Tv
On November 6, 2006, Microsoft announced Microsoft Movies & TV , an exclusive video store accessible through the console. Launched in the United States on November 22, 2006, the first anniversary of the Xbox 360’s launch, the service allows users in the United States to download high-definition and standard-definition television shows for purchase and movies for rental onto an Xbox 360 console for viewing. With the exception of short clips, content is not currently available for streaming, and must be downloaded. Movies are available for rental from the Video Marketplace. They expire in 14 days after download or at the end of the first 24 hours after the movie has begun playing, whichever comes first. Television episodes can be purchased to own, and are transferable to an unlimited number of consoles. Downloaded files use 5.1 surround audio and are encoded using VC-1 for video at 720p, with a bitrate of 6.8;Mbit/s. Television content is offered from MTV, VH1, Comedy Central, Turner Broadcasting and CBS; and movie content is Warner Bros., Paramount and Disney, along with other publishers.
The “Game with Fame” initiative has been Microsoft’s way to connect Xbox Live members with celebrities and game developers. Notable participants of “Game with Fame” include Shia LaBeouf, Jack Black, Rihanna, Velvet Revolver, Victoria Justice, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Scissor Sisters, Paramore, Korn, OK Go, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Dream Theater, Linkin Park, Green Day and Insane Clown Posse.

Xbox Series X Memory Cards
Don’t panic, the world of memory cards for your saves is looooong gone, but there’s a brand new feature / accessory for the Xbox Series X that’s putting a new spin on the idea of memory cards. The Xbox Series X Storage Expansion Card was announced as part of the Xbox Series X tech unveiling, and “provides additional game storage at peak speed and performance by replicating the console’s internal custom SSD experience. The 1TB card is inserted directly into the back of the console via the dedicated storage expansion port.” No word on price yet, but it’ll be the best way to boost the Xbox Series X internal storage for more games.;
What Is Project Xcloud
Project xCloud is the streaming platform that originally debuted back in March. Xbox boss Phil Spencer says the service would enable you to transform an Xbox console into an xCloud server , streaming games and media to connected devices. How robust this will be against, say, the initiative remains to be seen, but Microsoft definitely looks committed to leveraging its massive infrastructure and resources towards allowing gamers to play where they want, with who they want.;

Xbox Series X Final Verdict
As impressively powerful as the Xbox Series X is on paper and as good value as the Xbox Series S is the question of whether theyre worth getting right now is a difficult one to answer. Weve gone into more detail in our review of the Xbox Series X but the short version is that with no major new games available at launch youre not missing out on much if you wait to see how things turn out. Which is probably just as well if both consoles are out of stock anyway
Is The Xbox Better Than Ps4
If getting the best possible crispness for most games is a priority, PS4 comes out on top. However, when it comes to the premium versions of both consoles, Xbox has an edge. The $499 Xbox One X plays many titles in native 4K, and has the most powerful overall specs of any console out there. 5

When Is The Release Date For Minecraft On Xbox Series X
The question to end all questions is when Minecraft will be upgraded for the Xbox Series X and Series S. We have an entire article dedicated to when Minecraft with ray tracing will come to Xbox Series X|S, but the answer there is the same as here: we simply don’t know.
Between an early technical demonstration of Minecraft with ray tracing running on Xbox Series X, Minecraft RTX working wonderfully on Windows 10, and the gaming technologies inside Xbox Series X|S progressively becoming more accessible, it’s easy to assume and believe that Minecraft is definitely being upgraded for Xbox Series X|S. Unfortunately, there has been absolutely zero confirmation from Mojang Studios that it’s actually happening, so we’re not able to take guesses at a potential release date.
Recent rumors have suggested that Minecraft will receive its next-gen upgrade with the upcoming Caves and Cliffs Update. However, the Caves and Cliffs Update was recently split into two parts and partially delayed, so even if Minecraft was being upgraded for Xbox Series X|S with this next feature update it’s still not clear. Should we expect it in Summer 2021 or Winter 2021? If the next-gen upgrade was planned, has it now been delayed beyond the Caves and Cliffs Update like the new archeology system? There’s simply no way to know for sure.
Reason Behind The Success Of Orignal Xbox
As we have said above that market was already occupied by many players at the time of launch of Xbox, and because of this it never managed to outsell the PlayStation 2 or even come close to it. But because of some reasons, Xbox established itself in the console marketplace. The most exciting or we can say significant factor for the history of gaming was the introduction of Xbox Live. At that time, other consoles also had some online features, but Xbox Live changed gaming permanently by making online play central to the console experience.
Other than that Microsofts acquisition of Bungie Studios was also the reason behind the success of Xbox. Bungies flagship Xbox game, Halo, was a huge success and remained one of the best shooters ever released; the sequel, Halo 2, sold a record-breaking 2.4 million copies in its first 24 hours and became one of the most popular games of its generation. A third factor was the massive price cut from $299.99 to $199.99 Microsoft introduced in the spring of 2002. Sales of the console increased by over 50% from the first half of 2002 to the second, giving the Xbox a foothold in more gamers living rooms.
