Survival Horror Scorn Is Inspired By Alien
Scorn is an upcoming first-person biopunk survival horror adventure video game from Serbian game developer Ebb Software. The game is inspired by the works of visual artists H. R. Giger and Zdzisaw Beksiski. So far, the games details are vague, boasting a dream-like open-ended world made of maze-like structures and interconnected regions.

The first-person Xbox Series X/S exclusive horror game focuses on immersing players in its environment and the games story plays out in a non-linear fashion. Fans of Alien may already be able to see how Scorn is inspired by the series, which may in turn provide a reason for them to check it out. Scorn is scheduled for release in October 2022 and will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one.

Microsoft Decides Games Can Be Exclusive To Xbox Series X

Microsoft has decided that developers can make games just for the Xbox Series X, including those from first-party studios.
One of Microsofts most debated policies for the upcoming generation is that games must also run on the PC and older Xbox One consoles. In recent weeks, that policy appeared to have softened so that third-party developers could decide what hardware to support.
First-party studios, however, still appeared to have to develop games for all the Xbox One consoles and PC as well.
Heres what Xbox head Phil Spencer wrote in a post last week:
We want every Xbox player to play all the new games from Xbox Game Studios. Thats why Xbox Game Studios titles we release in the next couple of years like Halo Infinite will be available and play great on Xbox Series X and Xbox One. We wont force you to upgrade to Xbox Series X at launch to play Xbox exclusives.
Going by yesterdays games showcase, that policy now appears to have been dropped altogether.
The following games list PC as being supported, but only say Xbox Series X in terms of console:
- State Of Decay 3
- Forza Motorsport
- Fable
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2
- Warhammer 40,000 Darktide
- The Medium
Several titles during yesterdays showcase even had the deep-voiced announcer Xbox fans know and love saying console exclusive before some trailers. Many PC gamers were looking at buying a PS5 with the belief that all Xbox games were coming to PC anyway.

D: Dark Dreams Dont Die
There are weird games, and then theres D4: Dark Dreams Dont Die. The mystery story surrounding a detective investigating his wifes murder might seem cliché and overdone at first glance, but give creator Swery65 a few more minutes to show you its bizarre core.
Largely taking place on board an airplane, this game is utterly fascinating. The players interactions with other characters are among the strangest and most entertaining weve ever seen in any media, and D4s mini-games and Kinect integration make it an experience unlike anything else on the Xbox One. Unfortunately, the game was never finished but you owe it to yourself to jump in and see whats possible when an auteur is given free rein to do whatever he wants.

Microsofts Plans For Xbox Exclusive Games
Throughout the last fiscal year, Microsoft released five games from their internal studios Age of Empires IV, Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Psychonauts 2. In a statement released today, as reported by Windows Central, Microsoft said they are on track to meet or exceed that amount in the next fiscal. This implies there will be at least five Microsoft Studios titles, all likely to be exclusive to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and/or cloud gaming, set to release before April 2023.
One of those games is expected to be Starfield. Originally delayed to the first half of 2023, Todd Howard said during the same media briefing that they are putting the finishing touches on Starfield, which is an incredible opportunity for us . The other four games are something of a mystery, although they could also include Redfall which was also delayed to the first half of 2023. Regardless, were likely to find out more during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Show on June 12, and maybe even the Summer Game Fest show set to air very shortly.
In other news, an Xbox app will be bringing Xbox Cloud Gaming to Samsung TVs at the end of this month without the need to own a console. Elsewhere, the new Xbox Game Pass demos program will focus on upcoming releases from third-party developers in a bid to rival Sonys PS Plus Premium offering.
The Elder Scrolls Iii: Morrowind

Ahh yes, weve been expecting you. Its not the highest rated game on this list, but outside of two of the greatest games of all time, which are coming up next, I truly think its the best game of the entire 9th generation of consoles. Yes, the game is a little rough around the edges there is some jank and some patented Bugthesda bugs. However, bugs aside, Bethesda shot for the stars here, and it shows. See, Bethesda was actually on its last legs before Morrowind came along, and this was seen as one final effort to keep the lights on. Given that the end was nigh for the team, they figured they had nothing to lose and, in turn, flipped the entire RPG genre on its head. At the time, console RPGs were dominated mostly by JRPGs or other similar games. There were great characters and storylines, for sure, but the journey those characters went on and the worlds they inhabited were quite narrow. The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind changed that.

Xbox Series X Exclusives That Weren’t Shown During The Xbox Bethesda Games Showcase
ByJosh Westpublished 12 June 22
From Avowed to State of Decay 3, these 10 Xbox Series X exclusives are missing in action after the Xbox E3 showcase
Microsoft may have shown over 30 upcoming Xbox Series X games in its blockbuster Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, including no fewer than five first-party exclusives, but there could have been more. A lot more. When you look at the list of what’s in development at Microsoft Gaming, it’s actually kind of wild how many games the Xbox Games Studios group has already announced and that it could have shown today.
Below you’ll find 10 Xbox Series X exclusives that are missing-in-action after the Xbox E3 2022 showcase. It’s difficult to really know why Phil Spencer and co decided to hold back these Xbox exclusives back to be shown another day, although the publisher did note at the outset of its presentation that it was focusing on games releasing within the next 12 months.
It’s also worth noting that we haven’t included games like Contraband and STALKER 2 in here. While they are Xbox Series X exclusives that didn’t get a fresh showing, they are from third-party developers made in collaboration between Xbox Game Studios Publishing and Avalanche Studios and GSC Game World, respectively.
Ori And The Will Of The Wisps
Developer: Moon StudiosGenre: Platformer
Only one game could replace Ori and the Blind Forest on this list, and that’s its sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Both games are worth playing, but Moon Studios’ latest action-platformer improves on the original in every way, from its fluid platforming to its gorgeous world to its heart-breaking story. It’s more inventive, more challenging, and thanks to its totally revamped combat and RPG-lite customization systems, much more involved. It’s among the best-feeling 2D platformers ever made, it’s one of the finest Metroidvania games of this generation, and it’s the perfect send-off to one of the most touching stories available on Xbox One.

Xbox Series X/s Exclusives: All Released And Upcoming Games
Want to know the next-gen titles you can enjoy on your Xbox Series X/S? Here’s the full list.
With the Game Pass subscription service taking center stage, the Xbox gaming ecosystem has moved beyond pure next-gen exclusives. That means, for the time being, you can expect almost all Xbox Series X/S games to be available on Xbox One as well at least until the install base of the new console has shot up considerably. As such, our Xbox Series X/S exclusives list below will include games also coming to PC and Xbox One, but not to the rival platforms of PlayStation or Nintendo Switch.
Ryse: Son Of Rome Day One Edition
Granted, you may have donned the role of several brave hearts, but I bet, you would relish playing as a young Roman soldier more than anything else. He witnesses the brutal killing of his family at the hands of barbarian bandits. To take revenge, he travels with the Roman army to destroy the barbarian bandits.
The game presents a colossal aspect of Roman warfare in visceral detail. Players have to engage in epic gladiatorial battles where the only way of survival is to kill the opponents. So, unless you are at your heroic best, your rivals will throw you out of the battle!

Honestly, there are only two real heavy hitters on this list: Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite. These are Xboxs big new entries into established franchises, and thus the kind of games console manufacturers traditionally rely on to sell hardware. Well, after E3 2021, I can tell you that Forza Horizon 5 is stunning. How the game looks obviously doesnt account for whether or not you care about this franchise, but if you have any interest in Forza or racing games, this could very well prove to be one of the years top titles.
As for Halo Infinitewell, the fact that Microsoft still cant give us a definitive 2021 release date for the game certainly raises some alarms. Halo Infinite could very well be delayed to 2022, or Microsoft could decide to release part of it this year and the rest of it next year. If the full package does release this year, the game should prove to be one of the years biggest titles. At the very least, Halo Infinites free-to-play multiplayer mode could move a lot of Xbox Series X consoles this holiday season if it lives up to the hype.
Ps5 Exclusives Vs Xbox Exclusives: Outlook
At present, both the PS5 and Xbox Series X have excellent exclusive titles. But theres no denying that PS5 has a lot more of them: about four times as many, if you use our definitions. Then again, its worth remembering that this seems to be in line with Microsofts play anything, anywhere strategy.
As such, if you want to play titles that you cant experience anywhere else, the PS5 is your best bet. If you want the best system for multiplatform releases, you might want to go with an Xbox Series X instead.
Of course, you could always invest in one of the best gaming PCs and get the best of both worlds but thats a lot more expensive.
