Also, a name!
Microsoft’s E3 2017 press briefing is currently happening, and it started out with a bang: it revealed the look of the Scorpio console.
Not surprisingly, it is a sleek, boxy console, similar to the Xbox One S. But it’s entirely black, and seems really small for a console that’s a dramatic step up in power from the Xbox One. It is, in fact, the smallest Xbox console ever. Check it out:

Xbox 360 Elite Pro And Arcade
Best price – The original Xbox 360 is usually also the cheapest option out there.
Massive game library – Plays all the same games as the later versions.
Easily removable hard drive – The hard drive can be popped off and moved to another Xbox 360 very easily.
Only Xbox 360 with memory cards – Provides another way to move profiles and save data from one console to another.
Less reliable – The original Xbox 360 had a high failure rate, so look for one with revised hardware.
No built-in Kinect support – Requires an adapter to use a Kinect.
Louder than other versions – The disc drive in particular makes a lot of noise.
No built-in Wi-Fi – Requires a wired Ethernet connection or a Wi-Fi adapter to play online.
A/V cable , HDMI
Kinect port – No, requires an adapter.
Discontinued in 2010.
The original Xbox 360 is the most complicated of the bunch because it was available in so many different configurations. The original options were the Core and Premium versions, and the main differences were that the Premium edition had more storage, an additional A/V cable, a wireless controller, and one free year of Xbox Live Gold.
The Pro and Elite versions came later, and the sure way to find an Xbox 360 with an HDMI port is to buy an Elite. Other versions of the console may or may not include the HDMI port.
The best way to find an Xbox 360 with the revised hardware is to look for one with a lot number higher than 0734.

What Will The Xbox Two Console Look Like
Although the current console generation is not all that old yet, Microsoft Corporation will already be looking towards the release of the Xbox Two. The shelf life of the existing Xbox One is predicted to be much shorter than previous consoles which have been released, and thus we may see an Xbox Two coming to market much more quickly than many gamers perhaps envisage.
At least the opinion part is right. Some of the points are valid but are taken so far out of context that even as an opinion the integrity of the whole article is compromised.
What will Xbox two look like? I don’t know. What does the second generation of VCRs look like?
Funny because there are a ton of people trying to create a rumor that Nintendo is releasing a new console next year but that is perfectly fine… Either way, no company is putting out a new system anytime soon and I wholly agree with you.
Such a poorly written article. I strongly disagree with everything that was said. Also I’m sure both ps4 and xb1 are both aiming a 10 year life cycle. I think a 10 yr old wrote this.
I have contacts in the industry. It will ok like a thin glass sheet that glows green. It will support 4000k at 4646p.
Well with how the Xbox One is doing, its no wonder people are looking forward to the future
It should be asking what the Xbox One slim will look like and even then that is a bit soon.

The Best Xbox 360 Console For You
Jeremy Laukkonen is automotive and tech writer for numerous major trade publications as well as the creator of a popular blog and video game startup. A fan of EVs since the early 2000s, he stays up-to-date on the myriad complex systems that power battery electric vehicles.
Microsoft stopped making new Xbox 360 consoles in 2016, but there’s still a lot of fun to be had if you take a deep dive into the platform’s massive library of games. Whether you never owned an Xbox 360 when it was still a current gen system, you’re looking to pick up a used system for a younger child who is starting to get into gaming, or you just want to play some great exclusives that you missed out on, there are still plenty of reasons to pick up an Xbox 360.
The problem is that, unlike consoles from earlier generations, the Xbox 360 underwent two major revisions and also had a number of different models within each revision. It was confusing enough at the time, so it’s easy to understand how the sheer number of options could become overwhelming if all you want to do is pick up a used Xbox 360 off eBay or Craigslist.
If you are looking to buy an Xbox 360, here are the three major hardware revisions, including some of the most important facts about each. Following this brief rundown, you’ll find some more in-depth information about each type of Xbox 360.

Why An Amazon Echo Is Better
Probably the best reason to get a Kinect right now is for the voice commands, allowing you to navigate the dashboard, control media, and even to use your TV with a proper setup. You can issue commands like “Xbox, play Battlefield 1,” or “Xbox, turn up the volume,” and you can turn up the functionality to 11 by enabling Cortana .
Activating Cortana or Amazon Alexa integration will allow you to issue more complex commands like “What’s the weather like?” and “What is my friend Dave doing?” You can even do things like set and receive reminders, and enjoy the vast majority of Cortana features that are available on Windows 10. That said, she is sadly unresponsive compared to the stock Xbox voice commands that are enabled by default.
Ultimately, Kinect will enhance your Xbox media viewing experience by giving you access to voice commands, providing you set up the microphones correctly. It doesn’t always work, of course, and it can be a little frustrating if it fails multiple times, but when it’s gone, I will miss it.
The thing is, the cheaper, more versatile, and crucially, supported Amazon Echo can do all of the same stuff. , and have far, far more voice features than Kinect. Cortana speakers like the Harman Kardon Invoke can also achieve the same effect, but Microsoft’s support of Cortana-based hardware hasn’t exactly been reassuring.
An Introduction To Xbox 360 Console
The Xbox 360 is Microsoft’s second-generation home console. On April 21, 2016, nearly 10 years after its launch, the Microsoft Xbox 360 game console was discontinued. But Microsoft asserted that it will continue to provide hardware and software support for the existing Xbox 360.
The Xbox Live server will continue to be used by the Xbox 360, and users can still play online through the host. Microsoft will also continue to sell the existing Xbox 360. The latest Xbox 360 operating system update is released on Aug 21, 2019. This update fixes some minor bugs and improves some items.
Today, some people still like to use Xbox 360 because some games may be compatible only with Xbox 360. Although Xbox One has introduced the downward compatibility plan and you can plan some Xbox 360 and Xbox classic games on Xbox One, there still may be some games not participating in this plan.
Xbox 360 console has several series, including Xbox 360 E, Xbox 360 S , Xbox Premium, Xbox Elite, etc. These Xbox 360 consoles are all equipped with a hard drive not exceeding 250 GB, which obviously can’t meet the demands of gamers. In addition, to use some series like Xbox 360 4G E and Xbox 360 4G S, you need to purchase a separate hard drive.
Therefore, in this post, I recommend you 6 Xbox 360 hard drives. You can upgrade your old and small drive to the Xbox 360 internal hard drive or just add an Xbox 360 external hard drive.

What Every Xbox Can Do
The first thing to know is what any of the 360 consoles can do, regardless of its SKU.
- All 360s can play Xbox 360 games. This is true even of the Xbox One. When it was first released in 2013, Xbox One could not play games designed for 360. In 2015 Microsoft announced that it had modified Xbox One to be compatible with older Xbox games.
- Every single one of them can play DVDs and CDs as well.
- If you have it hooked up to your network, you can include your 360 in your Microsoft Windows network, allowing you to share media between your PC and the 360.

An Xbox Console Retrospective
Before the original Xbox was released in 2001, many doubted Microsoft’s chances to compete in the video game console business. Up until that point, the company had been primarily a PC software vendor, and there hadn’t been room for four major consoles. It also had to compete against the PlayStation 2 and GameCube at the time. Despite the initial stiff competition and several pitfalls along the way, the Xbox brand has made significant strides over the past 15 years to become a household name in the hardware world and a significant pillar of Microsoft’s business. It has since sold well over 100 million consoles.
Let’s take a walk down memory lane as we chronologically look back at all of Microsoft’s consoles, hardware redesigns, and major peripherals.

New Features And Differences
Despite being a new model, the Xbox 360 E doesn’t really have many new features compared to the Xbox 360 S.
When the console was announced, Microsoft stated that it would run quieter and cooler compared to the original Xbox 360 and the slimmer redesign, the Xbox 360 S.
The console is slightly smaller than its predecessor the Xbox 360 S. The Xbox 360 E has also been completely redesigned on the outside to match its successor, the Xbox One.
Another major difference is the absence of multi-AV out port. Instead, what’s left is a jack for a 1/8-inch breakout AV cable. A cable for a composite connection comes in the box, but you’ll need to find a component one for HD.
Microsoft has also removed some of the versatile connection interfaces that were present on the Xbox 360 S. This includes the dedicated optical audio-out found on earlier Xbox 360 models. This means the only way to get surround sound on the Xbox 360 E is through a HDMI connection.
Another loss for the Xbox 360 E is one of its USB ports. This means that in total the 360 E only has 4 USB ports compared to 5 on older models.
The touch power and eject buttons from the 360 S have also been replaced with more-traditional physical buttons.
Microsoft Xbox Smartglass: What You Need To Know

Use your phone or tablet as an Xbox media controller
Microsoft busted out its Xbox SmartGlass initiative at the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo , promising “new ways to interact with your Xbox 360”.

With Sony’s PS4 announcement heavily touting second screen support, SmartGlass might be basic but it’s undoubtedly here to stay.
