Both versions of the Mojang classic are coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC.
Some might take for granted that Minecraft has been around for a decade and can be played on just about any platform. However, it’s not a free-to-play game. It still costs money to jump in. However, that’s about to change for Xbox Game Pass users. During Saturday’s Minecraft Live show, it was revealed that both Minecraft’s Bedrock and Java Editions would be available as part of Xbox Game Pass for PC.
I see you raising your hand in the back, Minecraft newbie, and you’re asking, “What is the difference between Java and Bedrock?” The short answer is, Java is the original Minecraft, which is still supported to this day. Bedrock is the newer, multi-platform version of Minecraft, the one on which console versions are built. As such, Bedrock is the Minecraft that supports cross-platform play. Now that this question has been answered, PC users can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that both Minecraft versions will be available through Xbox Game Pass for PC as part of a package called the Minecraft PC Bundle.

‘java Edition’ Has Massive Multiplayer Servers
Although it doesn’t have the same level of cross-play, “Java” does boast big multiplayer servers. These servers let you play with other “Java” users, and feature beautiful maps filled with minigames and activities.
Both versions of the game have their own servers. But “Java” servers have been around for almost a decade now, meaning that there’s no shortage of cool maps to pick from.
If you want to play the minigames that are popular on YouTube, like Bed Wars or Hunger Games, go for “Java.”
Bedrock: A Smoother Experience Playing
While it is a game that moves as far away from hyperrealistic graphics as it can, Minecraft on Java edition still tends to have lag spike issues even with some of the best computers out there. Bedrock edition has somehow avoided this issue, likely because it is a game that is built completely with a different language.

Working with their publishers Microsoft, Minecraft developers at Mojang have confirmed that their two most popular editions of the game will be released as part of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass for PC.
Come November, Microsoft’s monthly Game Pass will make Minecraft’s Java and Bedrock Editions accessible through its service. Gamers who have an active subscription to Xbox Game Pass for PC will be able to download and play either version of Minecraft at their leisure. This will be particularly helpful to players who may have different versions of the game, making them incapable of playing with each other .

Hardcore Mode In Minecraft Java And Bedrock
The fans of Bedrock are still waiting for the popular hardcore mode to reach Minecraft Bedrock. Its a risky survival-based mode in which an in-game death means you have to restart instead of respawning. The stakes are very high, and the fans love it. If this is the type of extreme gameplay you are looking for, you need to go with Minecraft Java.

Bedrock: Combat Is More Straight Forward
For hardcore fans of Minecraft, players will remember back when 1.9 came out how combat in the Java Edition changed forever. Players needed to get used to fighting monsters and other players with the addition of cooldowns between hits and Hotbar item switches. This was a huge frustration in the community, but the good news is that the Bedrock Edition doesn’t have this feature and still has the old combat system. PVP-loving players could wait for Mojang to work out the combat issues in Java, or switch versions.
Often Players Are Concerned With What Edition To Buy
I would recommend going with Bedrock if you are a new player or have less budget. Bedrock is more stable and easier to play.
Java edition requires the player to have a better skillset and is more expensive to buy. It should be an option if you have good playing skills and experience and enjoy playing at a high level without the fear of getting beaten and starting again.

At the moment, Bedrock is a better choice if you are on a mid to low-end PC and also if you want to play Minecraft at its higher end with RTX.
If we ignore RTX support, Minecraft Java lets you enhance graphics way better with its numerous mods. However, Java will never run on RTX because it depends on Open GL for rendering, which RTX doesnt support. Even beyond graphics, Java Edition requires higher specs to run the game smoothly, even with the same settings as the Bedrock edition.

Can You Enable Cheats After Creating World
There is no setting in the menu that will allow you to enable cheats again, but it is possible to change the game state that allows you to temporarily enable them in order to make use of the cheats. When you click this, you can enable cheats for the LAN game. Once you do this you can use the game cheats as normal.
