Xbox Live Status Limited On Xbox 360

You might have a hard time signing into Xbox Live today if you are trying to do so on the Xbox 360 console. It seems to be down for 360 owners.

The official Xbox Live Status page currently says:

Hey Xbox members, are you having issues attempting to sign into Xbox Live or downloading the update? Additionally, are you having a hard time purchasing gamertag changes? Were aware of these issues, and were working to find a fix ASAP! Thanks for staying patient while we work. Well fill you in as soon as we have more information.

As of this moment, only people with an Xbox 360 console are affected. The website did not say this is an issue that Xbox One owners are experiencing. Xbox Live is only down for Xbox 360 owners.

People on have commented on the current Xbox Live issue. As expected, many of them are trying to sign in using the Xbox 360 console. Nobody has really raised an issue on this that owns an Xbox One console.

The Xbox Support page has been answering a lot of people having issues with Xbox Live. They have just replied that the team is working on a fix.

It doesnt look like a problem being caused by hackers or anything like that. Hopefully things get fixed so people can start playing on their Xbox 360 console again.

Xbox Live on Xbox 360 is down intermittently for a number of people. Microsoft has acknowledged the problem on its status page, and it says it is working to get everything functioning properly. This outage is preventing many people from logging into their Xbox Live accounts. Even when people to get online, they are experiencing matchmaking problems. UPDATE TWO: It appears Xbox Live’s core services have been hit again by another DDOS attack, in cirumstances similar to last night’s outage.

Fans are reporting issues playing downloaded games on their Xbox One and Xbox 360, while the official support service page currently lists issues with downloading purchased items.

“Are you having issues playing previously purchased content, Xbox members? Were aware of the issue and we have our top engineers on the case,” an official Microsoft message reads.

“We appreciate your patience while we work and well provide an update as soon as we have more information.”

Xbox One and Xbox 360 users saw key services knocked offline last night, with a new only group promising to cause more issues for gamers during the 2016 holiday season.

One user wrote: “Mines just gone down! It loads the start of the programme then cuts out and says server problems?! This is on BBC, Channel 4 and demand 5 won’t work at all. Netflix and YouTube load for ages then crash.”

UPDATE ONE: Microsoft say they are continuing to investigate the cause of tonight’s outage and have added buying items, redeeming codes and downloading purchases as services currently affected.
