Cannot Download Any Games On Xbox App Or Windows Store

Hello, I have not been able to download or patch any games on the windows store or xbox app. I get errors when attempting to download them, and right now cannot even download Gaming Services. I get error Code: 0x80073D26. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, made new accounts with admin privs, cleared the windows store cache, typed those 3 lines into Powershell that everyone always tells you to type in, and still nothing has worked. I have found one other thread with what looks like a similair problem, but his solution does not make sense to tech-illiterate me. Can anyone try to explain to me what he did to fix it? I would ask but the thread was locked…please, any help would be appreciated. I think this post I am linking has the solution, it just doesn’t make sense to me. Help please, it’s been several days of me having paid for game pass and not being able to download games I’ve paid for.

How To Use Your Xbox One Offline

The Xbox One is Microsoft’s latest console family, with deep-rooted ties to Xbox Live and Microsoft services. Once those services fall offline, the Xbox One loses an extensive list of daily operations, beyond Xbox Live social features.

Xbox One games are usually playable while Xbox Live is down, but only when your console is flagged as your “Home” device or a physical disc is used. Multiplayer titles lose full server connectivity, as well as single-player experiences with online restrictions. The downtime also knocks down media streaming apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Spotify, even if respective services are fully functional. OneGuide mandates Xbox Live too, rendering OTA TV guides inaccessible. If your games and apps aren’t accessible even via your Home device, disconnect the console from the internet.

The Xbox One retains some system-level features, such as game captures, screenshots, and achievement tracking. And all locally-stored licenses grant access to your digital content. But compared to a connected Xbox One, going offline gets dull fast.

To stay prepared for potential future outages, ensure your Xbox One is set as your Home console, especially when using multiple devices. It ties all digital licenses to your local hardware, ensuring you’re set to play when Xbox Live is unreachable. However, games with an online requirement remain unplayable, given a need to use Xbox Live servers.

How to Downgrade The Xbox App (Get Back The Achievement Feature More) **ANDROID ONLY**

It’s interesting that throughout our conversation, Spencer doesn’t talk about competition with other consoles. Although he got a sly dig in about Sony’s PlayStation strategy during E3, his focus is clearly on converting non-gamers into gamers rather than shifting the current user-base from one machine to another. When I ask, for example, about a lack of epic, self-contained single-player games on Xbox, he knows straight away what I’m referencing: Sony’s recent success with titles such as Spider-Man and The Last of Us 2, and he’s not having any of it.

“Our strategy is not to just go be like someone else,” he says. “I get a push sometimes of ‘where’s your version of this or that ?’. I’ve been in this industry for a long time, I have a ton of respect for creators on all platforms, and I know many, many of them. But it’s good if we’re doing something different than what other platforms are doing. We’re not in the business of just trying to create a green version of somebody else’s blue or red coloured platform. That’s not the example of creativity that I want to see in the games industry.”
