Is The New Xbox Out Yet

Don't Miss

New Xbox Game Pass Games Include Game Not Even Out Yet

Warframe | Official Gameplay Trailer | The New War

Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate have been updated today with three new games, and one of these games isn’t even out yet. Unfortunately, some of these new additions are platform specific. For example, the new game that isn’t even out yet but that’s been added via Game Preview is Everspace 2, which is currently in early access, and which is now playable for Xbox Game PassPC subscribers. Meanwhile, if you’re on console or cloud, you have more anime in the form of Dragon Ball FighterZ. And then there’s Echo Generation, which is available on all versions of the subscription service and which is notable because it’s a brand new release that just released today.

None of these games come the way of Xbox Game Studios, which means none of them are permanent additions to the Xbox Game Pass. Yet, we don’t know how long any will be sticking around. What we do know is that as long as each is available via the subscription service, each is also available to purchase for a 20 percent discount, if you’re a subscriber, of course.

Below, you can read more about each new Xbox Game Pass game and check out a trailer of each game as well:

Dragon Ball FighterZ: “Dragon Ball FighterZ is born from what makes the Dragon Ball series so loved and famous: endless spectacular fights with its all-powerful fighters. Partnering with Arc System Works, DRAGON BALL FighterZ maximizes high-end Anime graphics and brings easy to learn but difficult to master fighting gameplay.”

Light At The End Of The Tunnel

Of course, the lack of Xbox Series X and PS5 stock isn’t solely down to scalpers and COVID – there’s a good chance it’s due to sheer demand. As noted in documents released alongside a Sony earnings report, the PlayStation 5 sold 4.5 million units during the 2020 financial year. This is far higher than the PS4’s launch, and it exceeded the company’s expectations as well. Simply put, more of us are buying consoles than ever before.

You can’t discount good old-fashioned human error, either. The PS5’s pre-order launch was a shambles thanks to a lack of communication and what felt like a retailer free-for-all where chains were releasing deals in the middle of the night without warning. Back in the mists of September 2020, the went so far as to say that “PS5 preorders could have been a lot smoother. We truly apologize for that.” While the Series X launch was somewhat calmer, both Sony and Microsoft got a bloody nose in those early days of next-gen.

It’s also possible that word of low Xbox Series X and PS5 stock has led to a snowball effect. Coverage of the issue has dominated headlines for months, potentially resulting in yet more demand as desperate customers flock to websites in a bid to grab the consoles before they’re all gone. Remember the toilet roll debacle at the beginning of lockdown where folks started stocking up on the stuff en masse because they heard it was selling out? It wouldn’t be a surprise to see something similar happening here.

Second Generation: Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 was released as the successor of the original Xbox in November 2005, competing with Sony‘s PlayStation 3 and Nintendo‘s Wii as part of the seventh generation of video game consoles. As of June 2014, 84 million Xbox 360 consoles have been sold worldwide. The Xbox 360 was officially unveiled on MTV on May 12, 2005, with detailed launch and game information divulged later that month at the Electronic Entertainment Expo . The console sold out completely upon release in all regions except in Japan. Several retail configurations of the core Xbox 360 model were offered over its lifetime, varying the amount of RAM and internal storage offered.

The Xbox 360 showed an expanded Xbox Live service , the ability to stream multimedia content from PCs, while later updates added the ability to purchase and stream music, television programs, and films through the Xbox Music and Xbox Video services, along with access to third-party content services through third-party media streaming applications. Microsoft also released Kinect, a motion control system for the Xbox 360 which uses an advanced sensor system.

The second major revision of the Xbox 360 was the Xbox 360 E, released in 2013. It featured a case style similar to the upcoming Xbox One, and eliminated one USB port and the S/PDIF, YPbPr component and S-video connections, but otherwise shared the same specifications as the Xbox 360 S.

So, be sure to check into some of those titles as well. Whatever genres you are into and whatever your preferred game formats, there is a lot to look forward to in the coming months on Xbox consoles.

What Will The Next

The PS5 and Xbox Series X already deliver a massive performance boost over their predecessors. They feature top-of-the-line hardware that enables features like fast boot times, instant load, and ray tracing. Its not just the custom CPU and GPI processors powering the PS5 and Series X that make it possible. The fast SSDs are also responsible for the massive performance bump.

Moreover, to make the most of these consoles, youll need brand new TV sets capable of supporting HDMI 2.1 and 4K 120Hz refresh rates.

But technology will continue to advance. And TCL is looking to anticipate the needs of the PS5 Pro and next-gen Xbox. That way, when these consoles ultimately release in stores, TCL will have TVs that can support the new features.

TCL estimates that the PS5 Pro and new Xbox Series X will support 2160p/8K resolution, 60-120 fps gameplay. Furthermore, the new consoles might run on GPUs similar to the AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT. Again, TCL cant know for certain what Sony and Microsoft plan to do with their console hardware. But if TCL is looking at this sort of specs, its likely that Sony and Microsoft have the same expectations for the near-term future of PS5 and Microsoft.

Xbox Series X Review: Backwards Compatibility

In the run-up to the release of the Xbox Series X, backwards compatibility was touted a lot by Microsoft, as well as keen Xbox gamers. Such was the hype, I had steeled myself for disappointment. But I neednt have worried as backwards compatibility on the Xbox Series X is superb.

Simply put, getting an Xbox game from any generation to run on the Xbox Series X is just a case of getting the disc and popping it into the console. If the game is backwards compatible, and many should be, then itll begin an installation process. If you have access to Xbox Game Pass, then you can simply download any game thats listed on the service that dates back as far as the original Xbox.

These games wont immediately be able to put the graphical horsepower of the Series X to use, if ever. But the fact they can be installed directly to the consoles SSD means theyll load up in seconds. And any games that used to run badly on older hardware, should at least be a little smoothed out.

There are limits in that a game locked at 30 frames per second wont suddenly run at 60 fps or more unless it gets optimized. I found that to be the case with Red Dead Redemption, which runs at 4K/30 fps on the Series X, much like it did on the One X. Throwing Assassin’s Creed 2 in the Series X results in a game that loads a lot faster and feels smoother than it ever did on the Xbox 360.

Xbox Series X Vs Series S

Xbox Has Outsold PS5 Yet Again

The Xbox Series X isnt the only console in the new Xbox lineup, with the cheaper, all-digital Xbox Series S also now available. It doesnt have quite the same raw power, but it might be a much better buy for gamers on a budget .

The Xbox Series S has the same CPU as the Xbox Series X, but with a much less powerful GPU. The console is still more powerful than an Xbox One X, but targets 60fps at 1440p instead of native 4K like the Xbox Series X. It can still be upscaled to 4K, and supports framerates of up to 120fps.

The Xbox Series S has all the same features of the Series X, but with less GPU power to target 1440p at 60fps.

Removing the more powerful GPU hardware and the disk drive has enabled the Xbox team to reduce the consoles size by 60% compared to the Xbox Series X. This will make it a much more comfortable fit in most entertainment centers, and it doesnt come at the cost of loud fans or poor heat dispersion.

Apart from the resolution and size, the two consoles share all the same new features mentioned above, like Quick Resume, an upgraded SSD, ray tracing, and more. Its the cheapest way to access next-gen hardware and games, although you wont get pure next-gen resolutions. Check out our full comparison at the article below.

How The Xbox One X Factors Into Everything

When does the next generation Xbox become the current generation of technology? The Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 have taken console gaming on a great leap forward, but what will their next generation look like? The PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X are wildcards for the gaming industry. Were not used to seeing consoles that exist within a generation. An Xbox slim, sure, but not a new console with more power.

The Xbox One X is Microsofts first attempt at an iterative console. Its not the Xbox 2, but it is something new within the same generation. Microsoft calls it the Xbox Family. Your games will play on any version of the Xbox One, backwards and forward compatible.

The Xbox One X versions will offer 4K resolution and various enhancements that the developers can choose to add based on the extra power the system has over the standard Xbox One. It plays the same games, just a little better.

If Microsoft sat on the Xbox One hardware for another 2-3 years, they would be incredibly far behind the curve. The Xbox One X is meant to close that gap a little, but ultimately, there will be an Xbox 2 in the form of Project Scarlett.

Xbox Series X Vs Xbox One X: Price

Microsoft Store Xbox Series X Restock Gone Wrong: Netizens Blame ...

The Xbox Series X costs $499 / £449 / AU$749 and matches the original MSRP of the Xbox One X. Admittedly, thats very expensive, but the Xbox Series X packs a lot of technology into its cuboid frame.

However, the big problem right now is that the console is notoriously hard to get hold of, with stock continuing to be snapped up as soon as it appears. This can make it tricky to find where to buy Xbox Series X.

As for the Xbox One X, weve seen big price cuts over the past few months, going well below its original asking price. Sadly, considering Microsoft discontinued the Xbox One X, the stock is becoming harder to find. If you do see an enticing deal, then, its worth snapping it up straight away.

Xbox Series X: Price Release Date Games Specs And News

Everything we know about Xbox Series X, including latest news, release date, specs, price, games, and much more!

Microsoft has revealed the next Xbox. Previously known as Xbox Scarlett, the new console is called the Xbox Series X. According to the company, the Xbox Series X is designed to be Microsofts fastest, most powerful console ever. You can see an image of the console above, as revealed during 2019 Game Awards. For those wondering, while the console was first unveiled in an upright position, the Xbox Series X will support both vertical and horizontal orientation.

The Xbox Series X will also be compatible with thousands of your favorite games across four generations of gaming, all your Xbox One gaming accessories, and industry-leading services like Xbox Game Pass. Additionally, Microsoft is ensuring that first-party titles from Xbox Game Studios support cross-generation entitlements and that your Achievements and game saves are shared across devices.

The first reports of the Xbox Series X suggested that it was one of two next-gen consoles that Microsoft is working on. The other is reportedly called Xbox Series S, a disc-less version of the next-gen console to rival the PlayStation 5s Digital Edition option. Rumors suggest that Microsoft will unveil this second console in August.

Heres everything else we know about Xbox Series X:

Xbox Series X Review: Games And Performance

First game I played on the Xbox Series X? Halo 5 of course. If only Halo Infinite had been a launch title…

Let’s deal with performance on the Xbox Series X first. The Xbox Series X target for gameplay is 60fps at 4K resolution, while also offering a 120Hz refresh rate and theoretical maximum framerate of 120fps, and as you can see from the image below, this is delivered out of the box.

I enabled a 4K UHD resolution, HDR and 120Hz refresh rate on my LG CX55 TV straight away and, let me tell you, there’s no going back after you’ve sampled this smoothness and fidelity.

120 Hz refresh rate? Yes please!

I test a lot of T3’s high powered gaming PCs and laptops, as well as mobile phones, so high refresh rates, framerates, and resolutions aren’t new to me by any means, but there was still no escaping the immediate sense of upgrade I had when transitioning from Xbox One X to Xbox Series X.

And, aside from visual fidelity and smoothness , the biggest upgrade is the speed at which everything loads especially games.

There was no escaping the immediate sense of upgrade

I’m a huge fan of Forza Horizon 4 on Xbox One, but even on the last-gen flagship, the loading times on that title were absolutely appalling. For the uninitiated, I’m not exaggerating gamers around the world often reported waiting up to 5 minutes for the game to load initially and that, quite frankly, was not acceptable.

The Xbox Series X is like the Xbox One gone Super Saiyan
