Is The Last Of Us 2 On Ps4 Or Ps5

This initial launch, on 19th June, will see The Last Of Us Part 2 releasing into the market as a PS4 exclusive. You wont be able to play it on any other consoles this June.

In an interview with CNET, PlayStations CEO, Jim Ryan, confirmed suspicions that The Last of Us Part 2 will be playable on the PS5, stating that Joel and Ellies latest story will run on the PS5 without issue.

This comes after Sony announced that from July 13th onwards, any game in development for the PlayStation 4 for must be forward compatible with the next-gen console.

Ryan did not elaborate any further, but we wouldnt be surprised to see an enhanced version of the game dropping on Sonys next-gen hardware at some point down the road.

The Last Of Us Part 2, the sequel to a game recently named Game of the Decade over at Metacritic AND PlayStation Blog, is fast approaching – and it looks like it could be the biggest game of the year.

After the post-apocalypse of the first game, players will be stepping back into the shoes of now 19-year old Ellie as she battles a terrifying new cult in the ruins of the United States – along with the monstrous infected.

Originally slated to launch next month on February 21, the game was delayed in October to May 29 – and we’re champing at the bit to find out how Ellie and her guardian Joel have grown since the 2013 original. Not played the first one yet? It’s not too late to catch up.

Naughty Dog, the developers of the game, have had a great generation when it comes to PS4 games – releasing Uncharted 4 and Uncharted: Lost Legacy, while also porting the original Last Of Us at the start of the console’s lifecycle.

Could they reach out to other platforms, too – perhaps reaching Xbox One? We’re sure that would please Microsoft and Xbox fans who have been bereft of exclusives this gen.

Ps4 Console Exclusive Now Also Coming To Xbox One

A PS4 console exclusive is now also coming to Xbox One and Xbox One X as well. Some of the best games over the past decade have been PS4 exclusives. From Uncharted 4 to Bloodborne to Until Dawn to to Final Fantasy 7 Remake to Horizon Zero Dawn to The Last of Us Part 2 to Ghost of Tsushima, and to the greatest of them all, God of War, there’s no denying the PS4 has some of the most compelling exclusives of all time, across all video game consoles. That said, it just lost a console exclusive, though not anything that comes anywhere near the significance of the games above.

Sometime this year, AWAY: The Survival Series is coming to PS4 and PC. Developer Breaking Walls announced as much last summer. That said, it’s also now coming to Xbox One. This week, the developer announced that when the third-person adventure game releases this year, it will also be available via the Xbox One.

While we now have a third platform, there’s still no word of any additional ports. In other words, if the game is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, or Google Stadia, there’s no word of it. That said, it will be playable on the former two next-gen consoles, courtesy of backward compatbility.

Whether the game will come to any additional platforms, remains to be seen. What we do have though is a new trailer that accompanied all of this news.

No. As cool as it would be to battle zombies with Joel and Ellie on the Nintendo Switch, Sony has not announced any plans to bring The Last Of Us Part 2 to Switch. We would be surprised if they ever did.

That being said, The Last of Us Part 2 has been billed as a PS4 exclusive, which means it is very unlikely to appear on any other platform.

Of course, the idea of The Last of Us Part 2 coming to PC might not seem quite so far-fetched, especially considering plans to bring previous PlayStation 4 exclusives like Horizon Zero Dawn, Detroit: Become Human, and other titles to the world of PC gaming. While Naughty Dog has yet to make any official statement about plans to bring any of the studios games to the PC, many fans out there are still hopeful that well one day be able to experience the adventures of iconic characters like Joel and Ellie, as well as Nathan Drake on the PC.

Sadly, the thought of The Last of Us Part 2, or even the first game itself, coming to PC is speculation. As it stands right now, there are no known plans to bring The Last of Us Part 2 to the PC or the Xbox One. It shares similar story beats to The Last of Us and you can tell its influence as soon as you play it. It follows brother-sister combo Amicia and Hugo as they attempt to survive in a historic setting against hordes of horrible, plague-infested rats. Hugo is naturally quite the naive young lad, dependent on you to survive in this grim world of horrors. Its full of clever rat-based puzzles and has a gripping story to tide you through. The oppressive world really does work to make the protagonists feel helpless against the plague tide, which curates a grim dark atmosphere. Perhaps one for fans of The Last of Us looking for something a little darker, A Plague Tale takes what The Last of Us did right and steps boldly forward, injecting its own clever ideas.

In Telltales attempt, which recently capped off its fourth season, seven years after the release of its first episode, the drama is the focus over action, which is for the better in this case. A gargantuan tale that stumbled and fell towards the end, The Walking Dead is absolutely worth a playthrough if you care about narrative in games, especially if youre keen on the kind of tale told by Naughty Dog. Unlike future Telltale titles the choices really do matter here, and youll be spending a while in the pause screen at multiple memorable narrative junctures when the game throws a crisis of conscience at you. A testament to its writing, Its tremendously hard not to get invested in the troupe of endearing characters, and consequentially hate the antagonists who come to threaten them.
