Terraria: Journeys End New Items
Items in Terraria are crucial but, like much of the rest of the game, the systems with which you engage with them arent clearly explained. Either way, Terraria: Journeys End includes 800 new items some of which will be available to pick up in your procedurally-generated world, or crafted.

Items can be used as tools, or weapons that deal damage to the various evil critters you come across. They can also be combined with others to create new, rarer ones, or consumed to protect yourself in the big, bad, blocky outside world. Presumably, among the 800 fresh items, there will be new ones for each possible application, and seeing them all will take many hours.

Is Terraria Cross Platform
Players have been asking about cross platform Terraria since the release of 1.4 for PC back in 2020. Terraria is not currently cross platform. According to Re-Logic, cross-platform and cross-progression is something they will start working on once all versions of the game have reached update parity. That means console versions of Terraria on PlayStation and Xbox will need to hit 1.4 before crossplay becomes possible.
Re-Logic and DR Studios will “take their best shot” to integrate crossplay and cross-progression of player’s saves between all major platforms. Hopefully, one day, you will be able to play Terraria with your friends on any of the game’s platforms, whether that’s PC, mobile, Xbox, or PlayStation. As of yet, there is no official release date of crossplay, and no more information has been revealed about crossplay progress since January’s State of the Game. You can, however, play crossplay Terraria between Android and mobile iOS devices.
Will There Be A Beta To Play Terraria 14 On Consoles Early
At the end of last year, Re-Logic announced in their November State of the Game that they hoped there might be an “end of year gift” in the form of an Alpha version of Terraria 1.4, essentially an early developer build of the game.
It’s now June and there is yet to be any news about a playable console version of Terraria, although videos released by DR Studios suggest there is at least a basic version of the Journey’s End update that works on Xbox. Nothing has been confirmed about a playable Beta for 1.4 on consoles.
As of the May State Of The Game Update, it doesn’t seem likely that there will be a public beta to play the 1.4 update before it releases during Q3 of 2021.

What Are Journey Powers

These Journey mode powers allow you to change certain game parameters on the fly and can be useful if you are new to the game.
What Is The Terraria Journey’s End Update
Terraria 1.4, or Journey’s End, was a huge content update that was released on May 16, 2020. It arrived on the ninth anniversary of Terraria and included some huge additions, including the creative Journey Mode and the ultra-difficult Master Mode.
The update was oozing with content, including two new bosses , a Bestiary that helped players finally organize the complex world of Terraria, and a new town system that allowed better management and interaction with NPCs.

When Journeys End Drops Will It Be On Consoles Too
Not talking about mobile because they dont even have 1.3 yet. Could journeys end be on consoles too?
No, Journey’s End update will probably not be dropping at the same time. I think in the year 2023 console will get the Journey’s end update. Also Xbox One/PS4 may not get it because they may be considered “Old-Gen” consoles by then. Whatever the new generation of consoles are might be the only ones that get the Journey’s End update for console.
Edit: I’m getting the year 2023 because it took about 3 years to get the 1.3 update on Xbox One and PS4. Since Journey’s End will be a huge update that’s apparently even bigger than 1.3 will be, I’m guessing it will take 4 years to make it to console. That is, if fucking Pipeworks is in charge of it again. They honestly suck so much, I could go into a rant but the 2 points I want to get across is they kept us waiting for an additional year for almost nothing, they were working on “Bug fixes” during 2017 but when it finally released the bugs were insane, and it was clear they didn’t really playtest the new stuff.
Crashes And Other Very Severe Issues
- Added protection against Chests generating over Bee Larvae during initial worldgen, resulting in an instant crash on world load
- Potentially fixed a Mac only crash issue where the game tended to crash roughly 15-20 minutes into play
- Fixed several dozen worldgen freezes/crashes, and ran thousands of consecutive worldgens for days on end to catch as many more as possible
- Fixed a potential crash issue where, if you started generating a world and then received a Steam invite, trying to join that invite would usually crash your world, or have other chaotic side effects like showing you partially generated worlds
- Fixed a potential crash issue when using Life Drain while in reverse gravity
- Fixed an achievement related crash that happened when killing the Wall of Flesh in some worlds
- Fixed an extremely serious issue where naming your characters . or .. could lead to deleting your saves folder
- Fixed an issue where Mac’s dedicated server file did not install correctly
- Fixed a rare crash involving Giant Tortoises not dealing well with sloped tiles
- Fixed a crash issue where attempting to access the Captures folder via the in-game button would crash the game if you had no Captures folder

Accessories Hooks And Mounts
- You no longer gain stacked benefits from wearing multiple Celestial Stone variants
- In addition to its previous Confusion effect, Brain of Confusion now gives a 1/6 chance to avoid enemy attacks. Upon avoiding an attack, you will gain a temporary buff that gives 20% critical chance for a few seconds, during which time you cannot avoid additional attacks.
- Titan Glove and its tinkers now give autoswing to all Melee Weapons
- Wing Balance has been heavily balanced across the entirety of the game.
- With only a few exceptions, wings found at the same tier should be roughly equivalent in power. Exceptions are usually particularly hard or particularly easy to get.
- Unfortunately, it is difficult to share exact stats for wings, partially because there are dozens of them that have been changed, and their stats don’t easily translate to easily readable stats.
- The best short summary is that over a dozen sets of wings were buffed, and that Leaf and Frozen Wings have been reduced in power, as they were too strong for their tier.
- Other major notes:
- Butterfly and Bee Wings can now only drop after the Mech Bosses, but their power has been increased proportionally.
- Previously, most wings from Wall of Flesh until Golem were very similar in power, and didn’t offer a lot of reason to upgrade. These have now been spread out, creating a more gradual, consistent increase in wing power across the course of the game.
- Pull in Speed increased from 13 to 16
- Shoot speed increased from 16 to 18

Terraria 14 Has A Console Release Date Of Q3 2021
Confirmed by Re-Logic themselves, it looks like the Journey’s End 1.4 console update will be released in the third quarter of 2021. A recent message from Whitney Spinks, one of the designers at Re-Logic, as well as a message from the official Re-Logic Twitter account, confirm that they are sending the Terraria 1.4 Journey’s End console update for confirmation from both Sony and Microsoft on the . This gives the update a rough release window of August 25th – September 25th. Games and updates need to be confirmed by PlayStation and Microsoft before they can be added to the store. This process usually takes only a couple of weeks, sometimes much quicker than that. This means we could have Terraria 1.4 on consoles very soon.
Previous information: Although the devs seem sure they can still hit that release window they can’t narrow it down to an exact date. It could release at any period between July 1st and September 30th.
