Is ‘halo Infinite’ Coming To Xbox One
Console exclusive games have been a little tricky when it comes to the new generation of gaming tech, including the Xbox Series X/S. While certain games have more graphic capabilities and a shinier look on the newest consoles, they’re largely still playable on the previous generation, albeit with less visual fidelity.
Take PlayStation’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, for example. The game was touted for having smoother gameplay and better graphics on the PS5, but it still released on the PS4 and made for a perfectly good experience. The urgency to play the newest games on the latest consoles has become less prevalent now that new games are becoming more accessible on current-gen.
So let’s bring it back to Halo Infinite and the current Xbox consoles. Infinite will come out on the Xbox Series X/S on Dec. 8, 2021, but it will also come out on the Xbox One on the same date. Plus, it will be available on PC, and you can even wishlist the game on Steam now.
Halo Infinite Campaign Release Date
The Halo Infinite campaign release date took place on Wednesday 8th December 2021, with the game’s main story launching on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox One, PC and Xbox Series X/S at 6pm GMT for players here in the UK.
So if you haven’t already jumped into it, you should definitely go and check out the Halo Infinite campaign now to get that Master Chief fix.

Halo Infinite Will Be On Xbox And Windows Pcs
One big thing we know is that Halo Infinite will run on consoles and PC. This is big news for Halo fans, as until recently, almost all Halo games were only available on the Xbox. But earlier this year, Microsoft said it would begin releasing Halo games on the PC as well, as part of its Master Chief Collection.
Genshin Impact Still Refuses To Increase Anniversary Rewards Despite Fan Outcry

I also think the Cyberpunk situation is unique and unlikely to be repeated by Microsoft here.
CDPR has gone on record to essentially admit they their main focus was PC, with a secondary focus on next gen consoles and practically a non-existent focus on last gen consoles. Despite the massive console userbase , they are saying outright they didnt do enough work on that version and knowingly released a broken iteration of it.

We really do not see AAA games launch in this state on last genever. This is a true rarity for a game this high profile to run this poorly, so I dont think it has much to do with the Halo Infinite delays and that situation, and I cannot see Microsoft getting itself into a mess like that at release. The comparison doesnt even make sense when you lay it out. If the fear is that a last gen version of the game would drag down higher end versions, that is the opposite of what happened with Cyberpunk. Too much focus on high-end PCs and brand new consoles made the developer ignore last gen almost entirely. A bad outcome, but not really why people are saying that Halo Infinite should ditch last gen.
Halo Infinite certainly has its own share of problems, but if theres any lesson to be learned from Cyberpunk 2077, its not ditch last gen consoles.
Its delay your game until its ready.

Why Is It Called Halo Infinite And Not Halo 6
This lack of a number is actually a big hint about what the game might be. Halo’s previous big non-number game, 2010’s Halo: Reach, was a prequel. Maybe it’ll be a live-service game like Anthem, the action adventure game from Electronic Arts, or Ubisoft’s post-apocalyptic shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, or Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic exploration game Fallout 76, or Microsoft’s cartoonish pirate game Sea of Thieves.
Or maybe Microsoft just got tired of using numbers all the time.
Halo Infinite Price And Release Date
- What is it? A first-person shooter and the sixth mainline entry in the Halo series
- Release date? December 8, 2021
- What can I play it on? Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC
- Price? $59.99 / £54.99 / $AU79.95
As Halo Infinite’s multiplayer has only left beta and has received multiple updates during its early release, we’ll be delivering our thoughts on the game’s online mode at a later date.
One of Halo 5’s most prominent criticisms was that it required players to have an expansive knowledge of every facet of Halo’s intricate universe. It often felt like players had to have read every single Halo novel to have even the vaguest understanding of what was happening outside of the game’s main plot, which was in itself incredibly disjointed and underwhelming.
But for Halo Infinite, 343 Industries has pleasingly gone back to basics and centered the story around three core elements: Master Chief, his relationship with a personal AI, and the battle against a dangerous new threat.
As you’d expect, additional backstory and lore are present throughout the game’s plot, but they only serve to complement the overall narrative, not detract from it. It means Halo Infinite’s story is intimately familiar, accessible to newcomers, yet fresh and exciting. It’s also engaging from the outset.

Mortal Kombat 11 Is Coming To Xbox Game Pass On December 16
Nine new games will be launching on December 16 for Xbox Game Pass, including Mortal Kombat 11. This comes at quite a surprise, as it’s unusual for so many games to launch on the same day for the service, as Xbox usually tends to spread the releases throughout the month.
We’re not complaining, however, as this is great news for everyone. But, it’s worth noting that this is the base MK11, and doesn’t include any of the DLC fighters, or the Aftermath expansion. Here’s everything else coming to the service so far this month.

Can you play Halo Infinite on Xbox One? Microsoft and 343 Industries promised a solid experience on the older Xbox platform, and it seems they’ve delivered – for the most part. What Is The Halo Infinite File Size
Currently, Halo Infinites multiplayer has a file size of 25.9 GB. The campaign will increase the file size, but we dont know exactly how much just yet. The Microsoft Store lists the campaign as only a 669.38 MB add-on, but that seems relatively small for an open-world video game.
Meanwhile, Inverses separate campaign review build was 48.8 GB. That suggests that the whole game will be somewhere around 75 GB, but we wont know for sure until the campaign is fully released and integrated with the multiplayer.
Well update this post once the campaign goes live and the file size is apparent. Thankfully, even after that happens, Halo Infinite should start with a smaller file size than other shooters such as. The file size may increase over time as developer 343 Industries adds features like The Forge and a co-op campaign.

How To Play The Halo Infinite Co

The Halo Infinite campaign beta is available to all Xbox players as long as they own the Halo Infinite campaign already, but to have a chance at playing the Halo Infinite co-op beta on PC through Steam, you need to have signed up for the Halo Insider Program. This program was launched by Microsoft and 343 Industries in 2018 as the “MCC Insider Program” to test updates and fixes for Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and after being renamed, it was used again in 2021 to beta test Halo Infinite’s multiplayer experiences. Like Xbox and Microsoft Store players, Steam users also need the retail version of the Halo Infinite campaign in order to be eligible to participate in the beta. The game can be obtained by either directly purchasing it or by having an active Xbox Game Pass subscription.
The Halo Insider Program is completely free to register for, so there’s really no reason why you shouldn’t sign up. With that said, 343 Industries has confirmed it’s too late to get access if you didn’t sign up before the beta went live, so signing up now won’t give you a shot at getting into the current beta.
If you did sign up ahead of the beta’s launch, there’s a good chance you were invited to participate in it. To check, look on the Halo Waypoint website and keep an eye out for a notification on your profile that confirms your invitation to the flight and instructs you on how to access it.

Halo Infinite Dev Responds To Xbox One Version Cancellation Rumors
No, Halo Infinite is not abandoning Xbox One and it has not been delayed again to 2022.
Halo Infinite developer 343 Industries has responded to recent rumors that claimed the studio was abandoning the Xbox One version of the sci-fi shooter and delaying the game to 2022. That’s a bunch of baloney, community manager John Junyszek said on social media–you can still expect Halo Infinite to release in 2021 for all previously announced platforms, including Xbox One.
“We’re seeing lots of fake ‘leaks’ out there, so please don’t believe everything you read,” he . “There are no plans to change our 2021 release or the devices and platforms we’ll be supporting. We’re building Halo Infinite to be the best it can be on each device/platform.”

Halo Infinite is in development for Xbox Series X, the standard Xbox One, and PC. Citing no evidence, people online have claimed that Halo Infinite’s Xbox One edition would be “held back” due to the power of the Xbox One being less than the Series X.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer believes “held back” is a term used by people who have too much time on their hands.
343 recently delayed Halo Infinite from holiday 2020 to an unspecified date in 2021. The company pushed the game to next year due in part to development complications related to COVID-19 and the impact of working from home.
Will Halo Infinite Have Battle Passes
We’ve known for a while that Halo Infinite will have microtransactions and thanks to the extensive multiplayer walkthrough we know the game is getting battle passes instead of real-money loot boxes. Now battle passes have been popularize by other games like Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone, but unlike everyone else 343 has promised their battle passes will never expire.
This way you can just work at your own pace to complete the battle pass instead of rushing before time runs out. What’s more you’ll be able to buy older battle passes in case you start play late or took a break from the game.
