Green Hell Gets Set For Xbox And Playstation
Edit: 27/05/21 Green Hell will launch on Xbox One and PS4 come June 9th 2021. Check out the release date trailer if you dont believe us
The critically acclaimed Green Hell has been delivering Amazonian survival experiences to PC through Steam for a good couple of years already. Now though, on the back of a showing at the Future Games Show, itll soon be coming to Xbox and PlayStation with a release window now confirmed.
Come June 2021 Green Hell will hit Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5, giving console players the opportunity to head to the Amazon rainforest and get on with the survival matters at hand. And when you consider the game has already hit 1.5 million players on the PC, its pretty exciting to see a console drop. In Green Hell danger lurks at every corner, with the team at Creepy Jar having created a hyper-realistic experience. Since launch in 2019 on PC, Creepy Jar have continued to add content to ensure that the dangerous depths of the Amazon are able to deliver an utterly robust nature. You see, theyve thrown in a Story Mode, theyve added a cooperative option for up to 4-players, and theyve listened to their player base to ensure that their community are kept happy. Its certainly a happy community too, with no less than 24,000 very positive reviews kicking around on Steam. Thats not a bad ratio at all, is it!
Dont Forget Your Sanity
When worrying about concerns like food, water, shelter, and safety, it’s understandable that sanity would fall to the wayside every now and then. This is fine at first, but eventually, if it drops to zero your character will begin hallucinating and those hallucinations can damage your character.
Because of this, its important to start paying attention to sanity as it gets lower. A good rule of thumb is to try and avoid getting below 50% as this gives a decent buffer if the worst should happen. Sleeping on beds, using fires, and consuming good foods will help with sanity.

How To Unlock The Debug Mode In Green Hell
There are many reasons a player might want to use debug mode in Green Hell, a survival game based in the Amazon. Dwellers here aren’t the only enemy.
In Green Hell, a survival game based in the Amazon rainforest, this lone survivor may want to use cheats as they aren’t just threatened by the natural inhabitants of the forest. Instead, players are faced with the effects of loneliness on the mind. This enemy is where the true gameplay begins.

These cheat codes and debug mode are only available for the PC version currently. That being said, these cheats can be used for anything from changing the game’s speed to unlocking all craft item information in the player’s notebook. While changing these things can be game-breaking, as it is allowing the player to enter the creators’ view of the game, it can also give players a head start in their playthrough if they don’t want to muddle through.

Green Hell Comes On Consoles What Can Players Expect In The Jungle
The Amazon Survival game appeared on PC in Steam Early Access in August 2018 and was successfully released in September 2019. So far, Green Hell has seen over 1.5 million players and received a number of expansions in various updates.
The survival sandbox: The game is based on a challenging survival sandbox. You have to keep track of many things at the same time to stay alive:
- Nutrition: Eating only coconuts will not save you. Your diet must be balanced and contain proteins and carbohydrates in addition to fats and of course clean water
- Health: You can systematically examine your body. And thats also necessary to detect parasites or wounds before they cause worse.
- Mental state: Extreme situations are nerve-wracking. In Green Hell you can compensate for particularly stressful or disgusting situations by resting around the campfire or preparing and enjoying a warm meal. If you dont, you will eventually go insane.
The story mode: With Mia and Jake Higgins you accompany two scientists into the jungle, where they research a tribe living there. But then everything goes wrong and with your help it comes back on track if you are successful.
Solo and co-op: Both game modes are possible in Green Hell. You can play through both story and sandbox alone or with friends. Crossplay is not possible. The players on PC, Switch, Xbox and PlayStation stay in their respective universes. Cross-platform interaction is not envisaged.
Kill Any Lone Natives
As you start exploring the world, youll come across the local natives. A common mistake players make when finding a lone native is to allow it to run away rather than risk a fight. In reality, this is the worst thing that you can do.
This is because these lone natives act as scouts who will report your presence to the tribe. That tribe will then send a number of warriors to deal with you, the threat. Its much more preferable to fight with a lone native than fight him and his friends later.

Green Hell Review: A Survival Horror Game For Masochists
Platforms: Xbox One, PS4 , PCRelease Date: June 9, 2021
I remember seeing trailers for Green Hell and being REALLY excited for it, only to discover that it was only for PC. Being that I would have to run the game on a potato, the disappointment was palpable. Apparently, Creepy Jar heard the outcry and decided to release it for PS4 and Xbox One and I tell you, I was so ready. In the past, I have sucked supremely at survival games but this time I was preparing. I watched multiple seasons of Naked and Afraid and I felt primed and ready to survive in the jungle. Turns outI still suck at survival games.
Green Hell is a first-person survival game where you play as anthropologist Jake Higgins. You and your wife, Mia, are in the deep parts of the Amazon rainforest. There is an uncontacted tribe in the jungle and Mia hopes to communicate with them. One morning, she leaves to head to the tribe and leaves your birthday gift on the table. After a few days, you get a walkie call from her in the middle of the night needing your help. You jump into action but see some weird stuff and end up accidentally taking a fall that takes away the memories of how you got lost in the middle of the jungle. Thankfully, you still have your handy-dandy walkie which is your only communication with Mia.

Collect Things As You Need Them
After building your shelter you might be tempted to start hoarding materials and various items, but this is actually a bad idea. You dont have a lot of inventory space in the first place and unlike many other games your food will spoil over time, theres nothing more frustrating than gathering a bunch of fruit and watching it go bad.
Wait until you have a need or a build youre working on, then start gathering what you need to achieve that goal. It takes some getting used to, but youll want that inventory space open for when you come across high-value items.

Have More Than One Camp
There are a lot of resources to gather in this game, and theyre often located in areas more than a days travel from each other. Its not always practical for you to gather what you need and make it back to your main base before the sunsets.
Because of this, its a solid tactic to spend some time establishing bases in areas you frequently travel to. They dont have to be big and complex, a simple shelter with a bed and some essential supplies will often work just fine.
A Rocky But Functional Transition To Console

Green Hell is not a game that should be taken lightly in any sense. Its a survival game for survival game enthusiasts, and as such, it will take every opportunity it can to hand your ass to you. While the tone of Green Hells story and setting might remind you of Eli Roths Green Inferno, dont let the superficial similarities lead you to think they are somehow related to one another. This is certainly a similar sort of tale that you would see from the tribal cannibal movie crazy of the early 80s but it is also very much its own thing and its a story worth seeing if you can survive the games many treacherous obstacles both intended and unintended ones long enough to do so.

You Dont Have All The Blueprints
At this point, you should be pretty set to survive on your own and start progressing through the crafting trees to get stronger and more effective at survival. Its important to keep in mind that the blueprints you have in your notebook are only a small portion of what you can craft.
When your needs are tended to and you have some spare materials, start experimenting with different setups to see if you can figure out what else you can craft. Theres a lot out there and itll make survival much easier than the basic items you have in the beginning so take some time to figure these out.

Green Hell Xbox One Review
Creepy Jar have created an intense psychological thriller, Green Hell is an open world survival simulation of the Amazon rainforest.
If you are thinking Wholly crap, that looks incredible, you would be correct.
This game has three modes of play Survival, challenges and Story mode.
Survival mode where you can try your hand at survival in an inhospitable rain-forest where the water, bugs, animals, and natives are all a threat. In this mode you really have to think strategically and use the environment to serve your survival.
Challenge mode The challenge mode is an objective driven criteria based form of survival mode that requires the player to achieve the objectives before the clock runs out. Of course the game wont necessarily make all of these objectives easy. This play mode will help to hone the survival skills of the player, whether it be building structures, crafting tools and weapons, or surviving.
Story Mode You play Dr Jake Higgins, a scientist and hapless victim of circumstance, thrust upon the dangers of the rain-forest, alone, scared, without anything but an empty backpack and a radio He is totally unprepared, confused and cannot remember how he got into the circumstance he finds himself in. One thing is certain, he has to find his wife, Mia Higgins.
Mia? Mia?! can you hear me Jake Higgins future looks as bleak as the foggy distance shown here.
Play with friends in Multiplayer mode, just a couple ol boys fishin together wait did you hear something?
