We dont believe Epic should collaborate with Apple for Apple to maintain its monopoly on in-app payments on iOS. Apples proposal is an invitation to collude with them to suppress free-market competition and exacerbate prices.
The Issue began when Epic Games launched Fortnights in-app store payment system in August 2020. As a result, Apple and Google and their respective app stores banned the app.
Fortnite was removed from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, respectively. For Android users, Fortnite can be installed and updated without going through Google Play, but for iOS users, this may not be possible.
