Fans Term Cyberpunk 2077 As An Xbox Exclusive Due To Its Removal From The Playstation Store
While this was probably an attempt to do some damage control, CDPR clearly did not think their decision through. CDPR was flooded with emails regarding refunds for their games, which made the situation even more chaotic. To add to this mess, players also reported that PlayStation and Xbox refused to process refunds. Clearly, CDPR is now in an even bigger soup than they were before.
In a bid to describe this situation in the most satirical way possible, players are now Cyberpunk 2077 a timed Xbox exclusive. This is only because Xbox still hasnt taken down the game and from its store.

This entire situation is far worse for the developers. They have put in an ungodly amount of hours to ensure that the game was ready on time. Additionally, they even had a mandatory crunch to ensure that happened. Apart from this, the developers also received death threats when they delayed the game to December. After already going through so much, to see the game receive this kind of response is definitely heart-breaking.

CD Projekt RED made some questionable decisions along the way, which are now coming back to haunt them. This may even affect the studios future plans for the game, which is something CDPR will actively try to avoid. For now, Cyberpunk 2077 is off the PlayStation Store, and nothing can be done about it.
The Aftermath Of Cyberpunk 2077 Launch Issues
CDPR fanboys flocked to defend their favorite developer. I mean, CDPR made Witcher 3 so everything else they ever do is justified! right?
Fanboys started using arguments like buy a better hardware, the game will not work on your trash old PS4, and the famous CDPR released the game early because people kept asking for it.
EARLY??? The game was delayed for about 2 years now. CDPR lied to us about the state of the game. The last delay was to iron out minor issues and to ensure a stable release on all platforms. The game was originally being developed for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Now it can barely run on either of them. The old hardware argument is invalid. Especially since the studio uploaded gameplay recorded on Playstation 4 and Xbox One on their channel. But as it turns out, these videos were lies. The gameplay we saw was not on last gen console, it was just another lie by a big company to make people pre-order.
In addition to all of the above, the game was in development for 8 years. There is no way you can commit 8 years into developing a game and then release it in that state. Assassins Creed Valhalla took only 2 years of development, and it turned out a great experience with little to no errors, and running smoothly on all platforms, including last gen consoles.
Oh really? so that is how CD Project Red works? launch an unfinished game and fix it later after everyone have already paid? oh and fix it after the holidays!!

Coming To The Ps5 And Next Xbox As Well
Posted By Shubhankar Parijat | On 04th, Mar. 2018
Weve barely had any news on CD Projekt REDs upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 ever since it was first announced years ago, but weve had a lot more of its in the last few weeks. What were reporting on today might be a big one though. CD Projekt Reds Piotr Nielubowicz and Adam Kiciski recently spoke at the Pareto Securities Gaming Seminar 2018 event, and they spent quite a lot of time speaking about the upcoming RPG.
While speaking about what Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be like, they showed off a few slides to give snippets of information on the game. One of the slides, which you can see above, mentioned that the game is going to be built on current and next generation technology- the implication, of course, being that Cyberpunk 2077 is going to be a cross-generation game that not only launches on the Xbox One and PS4, but on the next Xbox and PS5 as well.
Of course, theres also the possibility that the statement means nothing. However, it should be kept in mind that Cyberpunk 2077 probably isnt going to be out for at least a couple more years yet, and by the time it launches, the PS4 and the Xbox One will be late into their life cycles, while their successors will probably also be right around the corner. It wouldnt be completely illogical to assume that CD Projekt RED might want to release the game on next generation systems as well.
Fable 4 News And Rumors

Fable 4’s combat could feel like The Witcher
A developer from CD Projekt RED will be working on the game’s combat system. As reported by PCGamesN, gameplay designer Pawe Kapaa is heading up the combat at Fable developer Playground Games, with his LinkedIn page confirming the role entails “designing and implementing combat in Fable.”
In our opinion, the kind of sword-and-spells combat of The Witcher 3, one of the bestselling video games of all time, would be a perfect template for a Fable game, especially given how similar some of in-game spells are.
Youll probably see it before Elder Scrolls 6
Fable 4 might be a while away but it seems possible that youll get to play it before the Elder Scrolls 6, according to Phil Spencer.
Speaking during a recent IGN podcast, Spencer touched on the tone of Fable in comparison to Elder Scrolls and upcoming Xbox exclusive Avowed, saying, Fables always been a little more light-hearted and a little more British, I think I could say, and I think Playground will keep it there, adding, Elder Scrolls 6 is further out, and when that comes out I think it’s going to be incredible.
Take confidence in Playground Games, says Phil Spencer
Fable 4 is being created by Playground Games, the studio perhaps best-known for its work on the Forza Horizon series but Phil Spencer wants fans to have confidence in the studio. Speaking on the Dropped Frames podcast , Spencer said:
Forza Horizon 5s weather system bodes well for Fable 4

Does Cd Projekt Red Need To Bring Cyberpunk 2077 To The Xbox Game Pass
Microsoft’s efforts to make Xbox Game Pass the ultimate video game subscription service have not been in vain. At E3 2021, Microsoft dropped a long list of exclusive titles and big names that were headed straight to the Xbox Game Pass library at launch.
So far, we’ve seen games like Forza Horizon 5 and Microsoft Flight Simulator launch on the Xbox Game Pass, with Halo Infinite and Starfield also set to join once they release. But, while Microsoft is more than willing to throw absurd amounts of cash to secure games for the Xbox Game Pass, it appears that not all games can be bought – yet.
Grabowski’s latest statement echoes what he said over a year ago before Cyberpunk 2077 launched.
With that said, this doesn’t necessarily mean that Cyberpunk 2077 will never be available on the popular platform. Instead, this just means to say that Microsoft and CD Projekt RED have not agreed to a deal yet. This is understandable as Cyberpunk 2077 is still far from complete. CDPR’s latest AAA title just became barely playable with its next-gen version set to be delayed until 2022.
If Microsoft is indeed looking to make a play for Cyberpunk 2077, it is better off waiting for CDPR to finish ironing out the game’s issues first. Otherwise, such an investment will probably do more harm than good.
Is Cyberpunk 2077 Coming To Xbox Game Pass
I just thought I’ll chime in to say that there are no Game Pass plans for Cyberpunk 2077.
Radek
Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass business model is one that’s up for debate, but as we’ve seen with the likes of Dead by Daylight, Sea of Thieves, and No Man’s Sky, it can be an invaluable way to bring an otherwise under the radar game to the masses. Cyberpunk 2077 definitely didn’t fly under the radar, but with refunds galore and a haemorrhaging player base, some think CDPR would be wise to cut its losses and stick the title on Game Pass.
Speaking to VGC, a CDPR spokesperson confirmed, “There are no Game Pass plans for Cyberpunk 2077.” Well, it sounds like that’s the end of that. This was echoed by CDPR’s Global PR Director, Radek Grabowski – who doubled down on the fact Cyberpunk isn’t coming to Game Pass.
Despite delivering some pretty serious updates to overhaul that disastrous launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has still been struck down by delays for its DLCs, while most of us have even forgotten there’s supposed to be a multiplayer standalone on the way. We’d say you could do with all the Game Pass help you can get.

Then Why Should Games Be Exclusive To One Platform
There are a few reasons for this. Firstly, games might be developed especially for one platform, and optimizing them for other might take a lot of work and valuable funds.
We should also point out that developers are constantly fighting with deadlines so implementing other platforms to the mix might mean an unfinished game.
Another factor that comes into play is who foots the bill. For example, companies like Sony and Microsoft, might pay out some portion of the games profits, in order for the game to remain only available on their own platform.
Honestly, this is usually only apparent in games that are not as popular as Cyberpunk 2077, but there are some cases where big-name games have remained only on one platform for quite some time.
Nonetheless, as I said, for games as massively popular as Cyberpunk 2077, it doesnt make sense to make the game only available to a portion of the public.
As for video games that are much less popular and overly hyped, it might seem reasonable to get an incentive from a company, to only make the game available on that particular console.
Thankfully though, Cyberpunk 2077 will be available for most of the consoles and platforms, so the majority of the world will get to enjoy this title.

Xbox boss Phil Spencerrevealed today how the companys gaming ecosystem is going to work going forward. In addition to the powerful new Xbox Series X hardware, Spencer detailed Smart Delivery. This initiative ensures that if you buy a first-party Microsoft game on Xbox One, it will work on Series X at no additional charge. Smart Delivery is also available as an option for third-party developers and publishers. Developer CD Projekt Red confirmed this morning that its upcoming open-world adventure Cyberpunk 2077 will support the multi-generational cross-buy program.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 The Actual Reason For The Delay In The Medium
Certainly, the COVID-19 pandemic has been a nightmare for game developers around the world. There are multiple teams at work, and a healthy work environment is a must. Since the pandemic, the developers have been working from home and their dilemma is legitimate.
However, there are other factors that might have played an important role in the games delay. CD Projekt RED recently delayed Cyberpunk 2077 to December 10. This was The Mediums initial release date, and it seems the developers were not keen on competing with the likes of Cyberpunk 2077.
Hence, it is safe to assume that Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the other games that led to the delay for the Xbox exclusive. Interestingly, this is not a one-off instance. Other games like Path of Exiles and Everspace 2 have been already delayed by the developers to avoid a clash with Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 Is A Wreck On The Original Xbox One Ps4
- By Joel Hruska on December 10, 2020 at 1:46 pm
Cyberpunk 2077 launched this week, but if youre stuck playing the game on the original Xbox or PS4, what youve seen in trailers doesnt exactly reflect the game youll get if you pull the trigger.
Its a given that games sometimes have to adjust their visuals as they near release, in order to hit performance targets. Sometimes this can have a modest impact on final image quality, but the difference is rarely huge. In this case, the difference is enormous. As the clip below shows, playing the game on Xbox One or PS4 doesnt just lower detail levels or simplify lighting it looks like an entirely different, vastly uglier game.
Welcome to #Cyberpunk2077 on PS4 fat / XBO !
The heavy blurring and general lack of that you see isnt just an artifact of a poor-quality video encode. Kotaku posted some comparison shots between the Xbox One and Xbox Series X.

The first thing you notice is how overwhelmingly blurry everything is. The game runs at 720p or 900p on PS4 according to DF, but you cant tell that based on these screenshots or the uploaded video. Texture pop-in is an annoying reality of certain titles, but users are reporting it can take as long as 20 seconds for textures to load.
Imagine defending this. Cyberpunk 2077 is a terrible game. Base PS4 footage.

Xbox Exclusive Title Delayed To Stay Clear Of Cyberpunk 2077

Upcoming psychological horror game The Medium was one of the most promising Xbox exclusives this year. Initially, the games release date was December 10, 2020. After Rumors About Cyberpunk 2077’s Addition To The Xbox Game Pass Went Viral Cdpr Confirmed That Such Talks Are Not True
After being in development for nearly a decade, Cyberpunk 2077‘s marketing efforts were at an all-time high during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many expected Cyberpunk 2077 as the next big AAA title that would spawn a franchise for CD Projekt RED, as fans looked forward to playing through the first-person cyberpunk title in the midst of the world’s chaotic state. Unfortunately, Cyberpunk 2077 never was the game it was billed to be.
Several game-breaking bugs and issues plagued Cyberpunk 2077 for months that ultimately led to the game being delisted from both the Microsoft Store and the PlayStation Store.
With that said, recent rumors suggested that CD Projekt RED was preparing to release Cyberpunk 2077 to Xbox Game Pass. Although this would have been an awesome acquisition on Microsoft’s part, it appears that this speculation was false, with someone from CDPR now debunking the rumors.
