Add Your Discord As A Window Capture

Go to the scene where you want to add your friends camera and navigate to sources > + > Window Capture.

Once you have selected window capture click on Add Source. Select new source and give your new source a name then click on Add Source again.

Here we can select Discord as the window we want to capture. In the window dropdown select : General Discord.

In Discord make sure that you are in your call and can see your friends camera in the Discord window. Select done and the discord window will now be added to your scene.

What Can’t You Do With Discord On Xbox One

With limited Discord/Xbox One functionality, there’s currently not much you can do with a linked account. Here’s an overview of what you can’t do yet.

• You can’t chat to your friends. Possibly the most important thing that Discord users want to be able to do, there’s no cross-platform voice chat so you can’t talk to friends on Discord via your Xbox One. This applies to both text and voice chat.
• You can’t chat in a chat channel. Got a beloved favorite Discord chat channel? You also can’t converse there on your Xbox One or even simply browse what other people are posting at any time.
• You can’t add friends. Want to add a new friend to your Discord account? You’ll need to do that via the app or browser. You can’t do this via the Xbox One.
• You can’t join a new server. It’s not currently possible to join or add a new server to your Discord list.

How To Get Discord On Xbox

To use Discord on Xbox, you need to set up it on Xbox at first. It is very simple to do that. If you dont have Discord account, create one. Navigate to the , and then create and enter the username, password, and an email address .

After creating Discord account, you should link your accounts. Heres how to do that on Xbox One.

Step 1: Click on the Xbox button to open Account Settings and then click Account.

Step 2: In the prompted window, click on the Linked Social Accounts option.

Open the Account Settings menu on Xbox One, and select Linked social accounts. Here, you will see a new option for linking your Discord account. Once you receive your unique code from Xbox, open the Discord app and insert the code within the Connections tab.
