Minecraft for Xbox 360 is a game designed for multiplayer. In fact, every game you play is set up to be an online game. This can make things a little difficult when you’re trying to play splitscreen, since online games require Xbox Live Gold accounts. With the right settings, you don’t need any Xbox Live accounts to play splitscreen with your friends and family. If you do have an Xbox Live Gold account, you can take your splitscreen game online and play with eight people in total.

Is Minecraft Dungeons Co Op Is There Split Screen Multiplayer
Yes. Up to four players play Minecraft Dungeons together. However, the game is not a traditional split screen game. Instead, players share a single screen when playing together.
You’ll also need two to four controllers to play the game at the same time on any platform, including PC. For PC, that’s true whether you’ve purchased the game outright or if you’re playing through Xbox Game Pass.
For those playing local co op in Minecraft Dungeons, it’s essential to know that in some respects, the game can be both more difficult and more rewarding when playing split screen multiplayer. According to Microsoft and Mojang, Dungeons features a difficulty and loot scaling system. More players means more enemies and more loot, as well as an increased difficulty level.
To play together, simply use the menu in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. In your camp, change your game from online game to offline game using the shoulder buttons. After the other players join, you’ll be ready to play!
Players can see the platform-specific input for joining a local multiplayer game in the up right-hand corner of the screen.
Does Minecraft Dungeons Have Split Screen
Play with your friends on the couch.
Minecraft Dungeons features an online multiplayer function and local co-op. You have a variety of different ways to play with your friends, and you can choose how to best enjoy the experience, including cross-play, which will be available after the games launch. For those playing in a local co-op, the game does not feature a split screen function.
You and your friend share the screen as you progress through the game. Theres little reason to try and venture away from each other, so it makes for the two of you to stick together to fight off the massive mobs of enemies in the game.
If one of you venture too far from the other, one player is teleported to the others location. You only share the screen if you are playing in the local multiplayer mode, not online. You can automatically teleport to an ally at any time for those playing in an online multiplayer game.
When the game launches, you cannot mix local co-op with online multiplayer. You have to choose to engage with one or the other. The function to have these features running simultaneously will be available further down the line at an unknown date.

Hi Andrea,
Are both controllers signed into their accounts? To play split screen, start the game and connect the controllers, this will automatically divide the monitor into player-specific screens , so the game should know how many players should be playing when the controllers are on and signed into their own accounts.
