Microsoft has rebranded one of its game subscription services. Xbox Game Pass for PC is now just PC Game Pass.
The move could help to avoid some confusion, since Xbox Game Pass is a separate plan with a different library of games. It should also be clearer that games on the PC plan aren’t necessarily playable on consoles.

PC Game Pass
Xbox Game Pass includes more than 100 console games, with Xbox Game Studios titles joining on release day. PC Game Pass has its own selection of games, including first-party titles and access to EA Play.
Meanwhile, Game Pass Ultimate offers the best of both worlds. It includes PC and console games, Xbox Live Gold , EA Play access and cloud gaming.
The PC Game Pass logo still includes an Xbox icon, though. That makes the connection to Xbox and Microsoft clear, but some folks might still call it “Xbox PC Game Pass.” C’est la vie.
Meanwhile, Microsoft revealed a few more games are coming to PC Game Pass on their release day: Sniper Elite 5, Pigeon Simulator, the gorgeous-looking samurai side-scroller Trek to Yomi and an unannounced Hugecalf Studios game.
Also, for a limited time, YouTube Premium members can get three months of PC Game Pass access for free. As notes, Google is sending the invitation to subscribers via email. The US-only offer is available until the end of the year.

To use EA Play with Game Pass on PC, you’re going to need three things: The Xbox app, the EA Desktop app, and of course, a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

Ugh, I love Metroidvanias. I especially love them when theyre themed after Castlevania. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is the long-awaited game from Koji Igarashi, former Castlevania series director. Originally started as a Kickstarter project, the game was quickly funded and fans waited in excited anticipation.
And Ive got to say, Bloodstained lived up to all the hype. Although youre not playing as a member of the famed Belmont clan or even Draculas dhampir son, the story is no less compelling. Playing as Miriam, one of the last living Shardbinders, you enter a massive demonic castle to save the world from impending doom. As you traverse the castle, youll fight all manner of abominations, but dont worry, youll get plenty of weapons and supernatural abilities to beat back the denizens of darkness. And similar to other Castlevania games, theres more going on than meets the eye.
If you have one, I highly recommend playing this game on a 4K HDR TV or display. Its just that pretty.

- Visit account.microsoft.comand click Sign In at the top right.
- On the next page, click Manage under Xbox Game Pass in the Subscriptions tile.

When you cancel, you will have two options to choose from. You can either
- Cancel but keep the Game Pass for the remainder of your active subscription.
- Cancel and get a partial refund based on the remaining time of your subscription.

Previously called EA Access on Xbox, EA Play is a subscription provided by EA that lets you play all the top EA titles, and get early access to EA games. With EA Access you also get discounts on your EA purchases and timed trials for newly released games.
EA Access also has a Pro-tier subscription where you can play EA titles right after they’re released. Without a Pro- subscription, you’ll have to endure a wait or buy the game to play it on release.

Controller support in game platforms are a real nuisance, thats why, normally, people insert games aquired from different platforms in steam.
But at XBOX game pass for PC, if you don’t owl a Xbox controller, the support is terrible. I have a PS controller and can’t play any games that need controller support like The Surge 2, just by moving the character forward the camera automatically move at the ceiling making a closeup of the character’s .
A possibility is to let us insert the games in steam to enjoy their controller support, like I do with Epic.
Another is to really embrace the new Microsoft Xbox philosophy to diminish console borders and realize that PC gamers should be free to use any controller they want – PS controller, XBOX controller, Steam controller or even multilaser controller – to play games in any PC platform for games, like Steam, Origin, Epic.
But if the controller I own continues to be a problem to acess games in game pass for PC, I will have to rethink maintain my subscription in the near future.
So I ask, Microsoft, is there a plan to improve different controller support than Xbox controller? Any of the suggestions I gave are possible?

Update To Windows 10 Version 1903
True to form, the major update that was meant to come to Windows 10 in May 2019 still hasnt rolled out to a big proportion of users. The Windows 10 May 2019 Update or Windows 10 version 1903 is required to run the new Xbox app and use Xbox Game Pass for PC.
To check if youre on version 1903, in Windows 10 go to Settings > Update & Security then click OS build info over in the right-hand pane.
Scroll down and look under Windows specifications to see if youre on version 1903.
If you already have the latest update, then you can from the Microsoft Store and scroll down this page to the next step.
If not, then youll need to install the Windows 10 Update Assistant to get version 1903. To download the Assistant, click Update now on the page linked above.
Once the Update Assistant has downloaded, open it. It will tell you which Windows 10 version youre on , and the latest Windows 10 version you can update to . Click Update Now when youre ready.

Its a major update, so it may take a while . Be patient, and allow the process to complete. Your PC will reboot, then you can sign into Windows 10 again, which will now be running version 1903.
Once Windows 10 has updated, go back to the Update & Security menu and click Check for updates to make sure you get all the updates specific to Windows 10 version 1903.
How Many Games Are There
At launch, there were over 100 games covering both Xbox One and Xbox 360 backward-compatible games in the catalog. Every month, new games are added, and it now even stretches to a selection of original Xbox backward-compatible titles. The best Xbox Game Pass games now include projects of all sizes and genres.
Additionally, every new Microsoft first-party title will be added into Game Pass at launch. This includes forthcoming games like Halo Infinite.
But just as games regularly enter the rotation, games also regularly leave Game Pass. Any non-Microsoft game will likely leave at some point, or you should treat it as such and play those you like the look of as soon as you can.
