Once the Split Screen feature returns to Fortnite Chapter 3, here is how you can use it. It is similar to how it was in the prior seasons of Fortnite, so it wont be confusing to use again. Player 1 and Player 2 will be able to play with each other and you will be able to see them through the bottom right Menu of players. Once your teammate joins in, you and your friend will be able to play the game in Split Screen mode. Player 1 will have access control of the Lobby and will be able to do locker changes. These functions are disabled for Player 2. However, the Lobby control can be passed to player 2, allowing him/her to do the same actions as Player 1 could. Were almost done. Once the first player is ready to go, the second player needs to turn on their Xbox controller and pair it with the console if they havent done so already. At this point, you should see an option on the bottom of the screen that says hold the Y button for LOG IN. In this article, well show you how to use split screen in Fortnite, in case you want to try out this interesting game mode.
Is Fortnite Split

Epic Games has been known to disable minor and major features in Fortnite due to technical bugs or a conflict with another feature thats being tested. If the local multiplayer feature has been temporarily disabled, theres, unfortunately, no way to get around this and use Fortnite split-screen during this period.
A notification will usually tell you when a feature has been disabled when you start the Fortnite game on your console. You can also check the for up-to-date announcements on features.

How To Play Fortnite Season 7 In Split Screen
First, here’s the bad news Split Screen mode isn’t supported on the PC or Nintendo Switch, nor will it work on Mobile.
The good news? Setting it up on your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One is as easy as pie provided your friend has a PSN ID or Xbox Live Account respectively.
If you’re both logged into PSN and Xbox Live, simply head over to the game’s lobby and hold X or A to join the same pre-match room.
If Player 2 has an Epic account, they can even retrieve their skins and emotes.
Only Player 1 needs to have Xbox Live for both players to be able to play, while PlayStation owners don’t need to have PlayStation Plus to play at all.
You can also only play certain modes, so Team Rumble or Creative are off-limits, as is Solos for obvious reasons. Player 2 is also forced to leave the Battle Bus when Player 1 chooses to.
