How To Remove Resource Packs In Minecraft Bedrock
Not using or dont like a resource pack? Follow these steps to remove resource packs in Minecraft bedrock, PE, Xbox, Windows 10.
To further improve and even enhance the overall Minecraft experience, you can install resource packs. For the Minecraft bedrock edition, there are all kinds of resource packs like the texture resource packs, functionality resource packs, Minecraft bedrock shaders, etc. Though not as expansive or powerful as the Java plugins or resource packs, the resource packs we have for the bedrock edition are pretty good. One of the best things about Minecraft bedrock is that you can activate or deactivate any and all resource packs as and when needed. This allows you to pick and choose what resource packs you want to use in a particular world.
Though the resource packs are pretty useful, there will be times when you might no longer need a resource pack because it is outdated or not working anymore. In those cases, you can remove the resource pack from Minecraft bedrock. Uninstalling Minecraft resource packs helps you clean up the clutter and reduce the overall disk space usage.
In this quick and simple guide, let me show you the steps to remove resource packs in Minecraft bedrock edition. These steps will work in Windows 10, Xbox, Switch, PlayStation, and PE.
Minecraft Pvp Texture Packs
Minecraft PvP texture packs are a bit different from the usual resource packs. Unlike other visual overhauls that prioritize a certain look, a PvP texture pack has different goals. Many PvP packs will be lower resolution to make sure your performance and FPS stay as high as possible. You’ll also find that PvP texture packs focus on reticles that are easy to see, making swords smaller so they don’t block as much of your view, and helping distinguish between ore blocks better. The PvP packs down below each do most of those things, but if you want a quick boost to your PvP play you can try out smaller additions like Short Swords, Clear Hotbar, and Clear GUI.
Will Xbox Smart Delivery Be Used For Minecraft On Xbox Series X
A continuation of the last question, will Minecraft use Xbox Smart Delivery feature to deliver the next-gen Minecraft upgrade to Xbox Series X|S?
In case you didn’t know, Smart Delivery is a technology that allows games to intelligently download only the parts of a game that is necessary for the platform. Someone playing on the Xbox One doesn’t need the 4K assets and textures of the more powerful Series X or the next-gen textures of the Series S, so foregoing those assets leads to much smaller download sizes and even potentially improved performance. Smart Delivery also makes it seamless to upgrade a game for Xbox Series X|S and has led to several games receiving Xbox Series X|S upgrades in a far more leisurely fashion than on PS5, which requires PS5 games to be separate from PS4.
Like mentioned earlier, developers are encouraged to offer free upgrades to existing games to enable new next-gen features. Still, the final decision is up to the developers. Even if they decide to provide a free upgrade , the delivery method is up to them as well. The most straightforward one so far has been Microsoft’s Smart Delivery, as it means publishing a single game and then having the players’ consoles download what they need to deliver the best possible experience to the player.

Buyer Beware: Not All Xbox 360 Minecraft Texture Packs Transferable To Xbox One
My son was elated when he heard that Minecraft was coming to the Xbox One back in September. Even better when we found out that the upgrade cost would only cost $4.99 because we already owned the 360 version and he could transfer his worlds to the Xbox One. Minecraft texture packs and skins? Transferable as well but there are exceptions, as we found out the hard way.
When Xbox announced the popular building game was coming to the Xbox One, they mentioned that:
All downloadable content players have purchased for the Xbox 360 Edition is available free for re-download on Xbox One.
Based on this information, my son bought a few texture packs on the Xbox 360 after the Xbox One version released. After purchasing, we checked the Xbox One store and sure enough, the texture and skin packs he had purchased on the Xbox 360 version were showing up as free downloads on the Xbox One store. Fast forward to the release of the Star Wars Classic Skin Pack for Minecraft which just recently released. Of course, being Star Wars branded, the pack costs triple what most of the other texture/skin packs cost but hey, it is Star Wars, and it also comes with 55 skins. So, once again, why not take advantage of purchasing it on the Xbox 360 and getting it free for re-download on Xbox One as he had previous packs even ones purchased less than a month ago.

How To Install Minecraft Texture Packs
If you haven’t played Minecraft in a while, the rules appear to have changed with the Bedrock Editions of the game, where there is a built-in store with free and paid texture packs for you to use, instead of an open source texture pack folder. Some of the texture packs listed here are on the storefront, and if you like them you should consider supporting the creators by purchasing them.
If you’re still using Minecraft Java, all you have to do is hit ‘Mods and Texture Packs’ and then ‘Open texture pack folder’ and drop the .ZIP file you downloaded in there. Once you boot up, it should be an option in the texture pack menu.
For Minecraft Windows 10 edition, it’s not as simple to install a texture pack outside of the storefront, and you have to make sure your texture pack is compatible with this edition of the game before you install.
Once you’ve got a compatible zip, hit the Windows button and type in %appdata%, then click on Local, then Packages/Microsoft.MinecraftUWP/ LocalState/games/com.mojang then finally ‘resource_packs’ is the folder you’re looking for. Stick the compatible zip in there, then boot up Minecraft Windows 10, click on Global Resources in the settings and it should be at the top.
