Do I Need A Server Password

If your server is hosted and not a single-player server, you need a password. This is set on the hosting website in the admin control panel. If you dont know it, talk to the person who admins the server files.

If you are on a single-player server on your computer and didnt set up an external host, you shouldnt have to use a server password to use admin commands. In instructions that include the server password, you can skip that entry.

While many are the exact same name as the specific dino in question, others use completely different codes, such as “Sauropod” or “Turtle” based on their creature type.

Admin Commands For Characters

Specific commands affect your character. Consider using these commands if you want to change the engrams you have, your level, your stats, or how the world reacts to you.

To enter creative mode, which removes any weight restrictions and enables you to craft anything without having the items in your inventory, type gcm or getcreativemode after your cheats are enabled. This also gives you god mode, unlocks all the engrams, and gives you instant crafting.

If you want to give creative mode to another player that you have selected, type gcmt or givecreativemodetotarget and they will have the same effects. It will last until they log off and then log back in.

To give creative mode to someone by using their player ID, type gcmp or givecreativemodetoplayer playerid and replace the playerid variable with the players ID.

If you want to prevent your character from clipping, type in ghost without quotes and press Enter. When you want your regular world interaction turned back on, type walk without quotes and press Enter.

You can use the admin command fly to make your character fly. When youre ready to walk again, just type walk to end it. You can ghost and fly at the same time to disable clipping.

To avoid attacks by creatures, you can use the LeaveMeAlone command. Its a combination of the god, infinitestats, and enemyinvisible commands. You cant be injured, creatures ignore you, and you always have the max possible for each stat.

Enable Cheats On Your Character:

Once you have the console open, enter the following command to activate “cheats” in game for your character.

enablecheats 

Replace “” with the actual password. You don’t need the parenthesis.

If done right, you are now an admin and you can use the “cheat” commands! The admin access only last for your current session, if you leave the server and come back, you have to re-enable cheats again.

NOTE: You normally don’t get any kind of confirmation message when admin is turned on. It’s just “on”.

If you’re not 100% sure if it actually worked, you can test to make sure you’re an admin by hitting tab again, and type in the console bar:

You should see a message that you “You feel much lighter”, and when you hit the jump key you will rise into the air! Up, up, and away!

In order to enter ANY command, first, the player needs to make sure they have the correct permissions on the server they are currently playing. This can be found either in the server settings or through the use of an admin password.

On previous versions of the game, an admin command bar was present at the top of the start menu, but due to recent updates , a combination needs to be input simultaneously in the start menu to activate the admin command bar.
