Unlock The Game A Day Early With This Simple Trick
The long-awaited release of Cyberpunk 2077 is nearly here, but those of you on Xbox can play the game a day early and get a headstart on exploring Night City. By changing one simple setting on your Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S, you can start playing Cyberpunk 2077 right now. It only takes a few seconds to do and theres no risk involved. This trick has worked in the past for several Xbox games, and it turns out it works for CD Projekt Reds latest open-world outing too. Heres how to play Cyberpunk 2077 early on Xbox.
Customize The Capture Button
In the Settings menu, scroll down to Preferences and select Capture & Share. In this menu, you can customize what the Capture button does on your Xbox Series X controller, as well as the resolution and duration of your captures. The key settings here are the three bottom ones: Automatically Upload, Game Clip Resolution, and Capture Location.
By default, the Xbox Series X will automatically upload screenshots you take to Xbox Live. You can turn this off, or you can choose to allow games to upload screenshots in addition to the ones you take. Game Clip Resolution is set to 1080p SDR by default with a one-minute record time. We recommend bumping the setting up to 4K HDR, which has a 30-second limit. Anything beyond that, and youll need a capture card.
Finally, Capture Location is set to the Xboxs internal storage by default, and even with an external hard drive connected, you cant change this setting right away. If you have any games installed on your external hard drive, youll need a different one for captures. The Xbox Series X requires a certain file system a term that describes how devices read data off of storage so youll need an external drive dedicated solely to captures.

You Can Change Your *console* Region At Any Time
I’m seeing a lot of misinformation about this lately so allow me to clear up the confusion.
For those of you hoping to change your region to AUS or NZ to hopefully play early on Monday, you can change your console region at any time with no waiting period. The three month thing that I’m seeing quite a bit recently is only for changing your account region.
Console region is set on the Xbox One console itself. The information for how to do so can be found here: . *Note that there is no mention of a waiting period.
To change your Account region , information can be found here:
These are two separate changes. There is no waiting period for the console region change. I hope some people who have done it for Diablo 3 can back me up on this.
tl dr: Change console region at any time. Change account region once every three months.
Is It Possible To Change The Region Or Location On Xbox 360
Yes, it is possible, but not as easy as with Xbox One. You would have to migrate the whole Xbox profile and that could affect the other services and subscriptions. We have mentioned below the steps to change the region for the Xbox 360 console:
- Input the email address and password associated with your Microsoft account and press the button to sign-in.
- You have to add the new billing address of your new region and the credit card details. So, enter them manually on the stipulated fields.
- On the console, go to the option settings and click on System.
- Under it, follow the path: console settings> language and location> location
- Select the location, which you want to use and you are good to go.
Changing the region of the Xbox is not a mandatory step to follow when you have changed locations but it is something many people choose to do.
Microsoft allows you to do it when you have not changed the location for three months so if you are planning to change your region just to get some games and then change back immediately this will not work well.
Most of the time it is better to simply stay in the region that you are at and buy the physical games from other regions rather than trying to change the region on your console over and over again.

Why Would You Change Your Xbox Region
Xbox is one of the things that all the kids of the world are talking about. Not only kids, even teenagers, and the grown-ups are addicted to the powerful games of the Xbox.
There have been many improvements in the Xbox and the new generation machines are quite good for passing the time or blowing off some steam.
Time and again, Xbox has proved its proficiency by becoming one of the preferred consoles of the people. There are different games available for every console and every user is delighted to try their hands at each game.
Its a huge investment to buy an Xbox and that is why even if you change your country and region, you would want to carry your Xbox console along with you.
If you are in a different region, you can simply change your region to the one you are in to stay connected online.
Turn On The Xbox One & Connect To The Internet
Turn on the Xbox One and your controller by pressing the Xbox logo button on each of them. When the operating system is loaded, you are asked to press the A button on the controller. Then, you are asked to select the language you want to use. Browse to the language you want and press A .
You are asked to select where you live. The list of countries available is not very long. If, like myself, you are based in a country that’s not on the list, choose the country that’s closest to yours.
Now it is time to connect the Xbox One to the Internet. You are asked which of the available networks is yours. If you want to connect the Xbox One to the network with a network cable, plug one end it in the back of the console, in the network port and the other end in the router. Then, select “Use wired connection”.
If you want to connect the Xbox One to your wireless network, browse the list of available networks and select your network. Now you are asked to enter the password for the selected wireless network. Type it using the keys displayed on the screen . Then, press the Enter button on your controller.
Xbox One takes some time to connect to the selected network and then it checks whether it can access the Internet or not. If all is well, you are informed that you are connected. Select Continue and move to the next step in this guide.

Select The Xbox One Startup Mode
The next step is the shortest of all and it requires you to select how the Xbox One should start. To go ahead, select Next.
You can choose between two options:
Energy-saving – it completely turns off the Xbox One when you no longer use it so that it uses little to no power. The startup time is longer and before you can use the Xbox One, you are interrupted whenever updates are available and asked to update before using the console.
Instant-on – when you are not using the Xbox One, the console remains in a low-powered state which consumes energy. The Xbox One automatically installs available updates in the background, when you are not using the console and you can quickly startup the console using only a voice command or just by sitting in front of it.
You are shown information about the two startup choices and asked to select one of them. Select the startup type you want to use and move to the next step.

How To Play Cyberpunk 2077 Early On Xbox
To play Cyberpunk 2077 early in Xbox, all you have to do is change your systems region to New Zealand. To do so, just follow the steps below.
Once your console reboots, it will think you are in New Zealand. Cyberpunk 2077 unlocks at midnight local time in each region of the world, and it just so happens to be December 10 in New Zealand right now. The game will now be unlocked and you can start playing normally. By using this neat time-traveling trick, you can jump into Cyberpunk a full day ahead of everyone else.
This method only works on Xbox, but it will work on any console that runs the game from Xbox One to Xbox Series X to Xbox Series S. Once the game officially releases in your region, dont forget to change your region back to the real one. Theres no real penalty for keeping it as New Zealand, but your Xbox Store will have an entirely different currency and making purchases will get a whole lot more complicated. Plus, there could be connection issues in online games. Just make sure to change it back after taking Cyberpunk for a test drive.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.
