How To Set Custom Background On Xbox One Or Xbox Series X
To set a custom background image on Xbox One or Xbox Series X, use these steps:
Connect a USB flash drive with image .
Select the flash drive from the left navigation pane.
Select the custom background image and press the A button.

Once you complete the steps, the home dashboard should not reflect the new custom background you selected.

How To Set And Change Dynamic Backgrounds On Xbox
Changing the dynamic background on Xbox is simple. First, open your Settings through the sidebar menu that pops up after pressing the Xbox button. Itll be under the Profile & System tab. In Settings, stay on the General submenu and select Personalisation. Its the TV icon with a paintbrush stroking across the screen. Under Personalization, select My Background, where youll then see the Dynamic Backgrounds selection at the bottom of the list. From there, youll have 12 free different dynamic backgrounds to choose from.
After youve set your new dynamic background, you can head back to the main console menu on your Xbox Series X|S to take in the digital magic. Most Xbox players are probably accustomed to the Waves background, which is the first of the bunch. The other available backgrounds are as follows:
- Waves Faded: A more dissolved and lighter version of Waves.
- Spotlight Ultraviolet: Blurred-out purple hue provides a comfy vibe.
- Spotlight Midnight: Lemon-lime and blue variant of Spotlight.
- Spotlight Deja Goo: Spotlight but with more orange and blue.
- Ribbons: Treks along with a smooth pattern and a hint of your console color choice.
- Ripple: Familiar water drop/ripple effect with a slight blur.
- Motes: Acts like slow-moving starlight.
- The Original: An exact recreation of the original Xbox menu.
- Mercury: Gentle and oily textures.
- Games Pass: An arcade blend of abstract stairs and Q*bert.
- Halo Infinite: The Halo Infinite cover with Master Chief standing before you.

Dynamic backgrounds have been available since the console’s launch and add a bit of extra motion and color to your home screen. The new Motes background achieves that through moving green orbs of light.
Motes comes part of the latest console patch, an update which makes the Xbox’s Quick Resume function even better.
However, Microsoft also added another dynamic background called The Original. This gives your current-generation Xbox console the appearance of the first Xbox from 2000 with that iconic geometric design. Sure, it’s only a background, but there’s something special about seeing it again in 2021.

Use A Screenshot Or A Piece Of Achievement Art
Another simple way to get a custom background on your Xbox One is by using a piece of achievement art or a screenshot. You take screenshots in-game by double-tapping the Xbox button and hitting Y, and achievement artwork is saved every time you unlock one in-game. Here’s how you can use them to spruce up your dash.

When you have found the image you wish to use, select it with the A button, then press Set as background.
Using Xbox One Pins Shortcuts
