Whats The Difference Between A Realm And A Server
As with most things in life, the big difference is cash. Like we said above, Minecraft Realms costs money. Servers dont. Another difference is that Realms will always be online, whether the creator is or not, but Realms do have stricter limits on how many people can participate.
And thats all you need to know about Minecraft Realms. Now, whenever youre talking Minecraft, you can be in your realm-ement.

How To Invite Friends To Your Minecraft Realms
The good news is that friends that you want to invite to your Realm don’t need to have the subscription to join and play with you.
To invite friends to your Realm, click the Edit button next to your Realm world, then select ‘Members’. You should see a list of friends that you have already invited and you’ll have the option to invite more. It seems that the number of invites you can send out is almost limitless but the people that can play on your Realm simultaneously will be limited by your subscription type so either two or ten players at a time.
This is also where you’ll be able to ‘uninvite’ players if they’ve outstayed their welcome or haven’t been active for a while.
How To Join A Realm On Minecraft: Windows Ps4 And Android
Minecraft took the gaming world by storm back in 2009, and what appeared to be a small indie title at launch grew to become bigger than most AAA titles.
The game has been nothing short of a pop culture phenomenon as it appeals to virtually everyone, from young players to mature audiences.
One of the biggest reasons behind Minecraft‘s resounding success is because it isn’t just a solitary experience. The game encourages social interaction in a very interesting way.
Minecraft allows players to create Realms, which are essentially game worlds that can be created by hand, and lets other players visit them. Conversely, the player can also choose to join someone else’s Realm in Minecraft.
This makes for an extremely engaging experience and one that has been at the core of Minecraft’s success.

RELATED:How to Add Custom Worlds to Your Minecraft Realms Server
While the most obvious reason for backing up your Minecraft Realms world is simply to have a safe second copy of it, its actually a bit more nuanced than that.
Yes, you always want to back up anything youve worked so hard on. While Minecraft Realms is a top-notch service run by Mojang itself, theres always room for potential error and any world youve invested any serious energy in buildinglarge structures, towns, or Redstone creationsshould be backed up every now and then just to play it safe.
In addition to backing up your world to protect against unlikely server failure, its also practical to back up your worlds to protect against the much-more-likely chance that your friends might do something that causes a great big mess.
Take, for example, the lovely village in the screenshot above. Weve been encouraging the villagers to breed, and were about to start working on building fortifications around the village. Its not a huge project yet, but it is a pain to find a good village in a survival world. Weve already done a fair bit of work inside the buildings, and stored a lot of supplies in chests. What could go wrong at this stage?
This is a perfect example of where both the built-in Minecraft Realms backup system and the restore-from-backup function prove very useful.
Lets take a look at how to do all those thingsserver backup, local machine backup, and world restorationnow.
How To Fix Minecraft Realms Unable To Connect To World Error
Make sure you are connected to the internet when you try to log in and access your Realm on Minecraft. That could be the simple fix, thankfully. Another fix wed suggest is to simply exit the Realm and try to log in again. Its worth noting, too, that Realms do not work with the beta version of Minecraft. Make sure that you are playing on the non-beta edition of the game. Unfortunately, the only fixes available are general ones.
There are several Minecraft Realms unable to connect to world error fixes that might work for you:
- Make sure your internet is working before you try to connect.
- If not, restart your router.
We suggest you run through the fixes listed above and try the next one if the one above didnt work. Hopefully, you can get back into your private Realm sooner rather than later.

How To Back Up Your Minecraft Realm
There are two ways to back up your Minecraft Realms worlds. The first uses the server-side backup system which happens automatically in the background so even if youre not on top of your backup routine, there are server-side backups to restore from.
