What Is Xbox All Access
Once you do find a new Xbox in stock, you dont necessarily have to pay for it all up front. Both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S are part of the Xbox All Access program, which allows you to lease a console complete with Xbox Game Pass by making small monthly payments.
Xbox All Access starts at $24.99 a month for 24 months for the Xbox Series S, and costs $34.99 a month for 24 months for the Xbox Series X. Both memberships include 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate , which gets you access to hundreds of Xbox games including the Halo, Gears, Forza and Elder Scrolls franchises. When you factor in Game Pass, both of these monthly plans add up to roughly the same amount as buying everything up front, so All Access is worth considering if you dont want to dish out a few hundred bucks all at once.
Xbox All Access memberships are available at various retailers, including Best Buy, Walmart, Target and GameStop. Just note that youll have to qualify for a line of credit via Citizens One.
Xbox Series X Specifications And Features
Microsoft says the Xbox Series X is about twice as strong as the Xbox One X and more than eight times as powerful as the original Xbox One released in 2013. The Series X also boasts significantly faster load times thanks to a new solid state hard drive. The SSD enables new features like Quick Resume, which lets you save multiple games in a suspended state similar to rest mode.
Another new feature is “Smart Delivery” a process that lets Xbox owners swap between the Series X and Xbox One versions of games, like “Halo Infinite” and “Gears 5,” to get the best possible quality on both consoles with no extra cost.
Because of smart delivery, Microsoft says there won’t be any games that are truly exclusive to the Xbox Series X for a year or longer. Every new Xbox release in 2020 will still be available on Xbox One, but the Series X versions will have improved visuals thanks to Smart Delivery.
Halo Infinite Xbox Series X Limited Edition Console Specs
As far as we can tell, the Halo Infinite Xbox Series X Limited Edition console is a standard Xbox Series X console with no altered specs.
However, the Halo Infinite Xbox Series X Limited Edition console does include an Ultra High Speed HDMI cable as well as a Halo Infinite Limited Edition Xbox Series X controller and a copy of Halo Infinite. None of that will necessarily make your Xbox perform better, but its a great overall package.

Are Xbox Series X Pre
Pre-orders for the Series X begin on Tuesday, September 22, Microsoft announced on September 9. That’ll be the earliest gamers can reserve the next-gen console.
Major retailers, like , Best Buy, Target, GameStop, and Walmart each have their own Series X landing page, which will most likely be where you’ll need to navigate to lock down a console if you’re shopping online. Many of these sites allow customers to set up email notifications as soon as Series X pre-orders go live.
Xbox Game Pass: $100 /96
Xbox Game Pass offers you access to more than 100 Xbox games, from modern Xbox One titles to classics from the original Xbox. And it now offers access to a suite of Electronic Arts games by bundling in an EA Play membership, all for a monthly fee of $9.99/£7.99. This is one of gaming’s best bargains. It will also get better as all future first-party Xbox games will be made available on Game Pass from the day of their release. With Microsoft buying Bethesda, you can also expect a suite of games from its studios to get added to the service.;
Game Pass is basically the killer app for the Xbox Series X and one wed deem essential. However, that means you need to part with some $100/£96 per year for the standard Xbox Game Pass subscription. Opt for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which throws in PC games and game streaming to Android phones, and youll need to part with $14.99/£10.99 per month; its a superb bargain, but still adds to the overall cost of owning an Xbox Series X.;

Xbox Series X Price: We Predict The Final Price
We’ve put together our predictions on how much we think Xbox Series X will cost when it launches this holiday.
By GameSpot Staff on June 28, 2020 at 1:08PM PDT
For years, Microsoft has been setting the foundation for its next-gen console, Xbox Series X. After having to recover from the blunder of the Xbox One’s launch, the company has spent the latter years of this past console generation catering more to the consumer by advocating cross-platform play and backwards compatibility and expanding its service model with things like Xbox Game Pass and the still-in-development Project xCloud. It’s setting the stage for a very interesting next generation if it can get the software support it needs from developers, including its own studios and third-party companies.
Still, as we learn more about Xbox Series X’s architecture, its games, and what Microsoft has in mind for the future it wishes to cultivate with the console, we still don’t know how much it’ll cost. Until Xbox Series X launches this holiday, our imaginations will likely continue to run wild, wondering about potential price points–at least until Microsoft finally confirms it during one its Xbox 20/20 streams.

What Is The Controller Like For The Xbox Series X
The Xbox Series X/S controller has changed very little from the Xbox One design. Its got a new share button and the D-pad is more like the Elite controller, but everything else is almost identical. Theres a new texture on the grips, and the shoulder buttons have been slightly redesigned, but other than that youd be hard pressed to spot the difference.
When Will The Best Xbox Series X Black Friday Deals Start In 2021
Generally speaking, the Black Friday deals season can start as early as late October and early November, even though Black Friday itself is in late November . Things really start to heat up in the week following Thanksgiving – which is when retailers tend to start dropping their sales and price matching on a wide range of categories.
Because Xbox Series X deals and bundles are a bit of an outlier in regards to stock and demand, it’s hard to determine when things will kick off exactly. We would, however, as a rule of thumb recommend being on guard from early November onwards. Last year the biggest Black Friday Xbox Series X stock drop was on November 18th, albeit from Amazon third-party sellers with inflated prices. It’s likely official retailers will have more stock this year, however, so it’s absolutely worth keeping an eye out ahead of the event.

Xbox Series X/s Consoles
An Xbox Series X costs £449/$499 – that includes the Xbox Series X console and the new Xbox Wireless controller. Aside from all the cables and perhaps a free trial for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, no other extras will be included. Here’s the Digital Foundry review should you want to see how the console performs.
If you want to go for an Xbox Series S instead, that’ll set you back £249/$299. Remember, though, that’s the less powerful version of the next-gen console. It’ll still comfortably run all upcoming Xbox games but it won’t run games natively at 4K, doesn’t feature a disc drive and has a smaller 512GB NVMe SSD. However, you’ll get support for 1440p at 120FPS and 4K upscaling, as well as the same raytracing and variable refresh rate features as with the Series X.
If you’re willing to sacrifice those additional features, you do save a considerable chunk of change on the console. Definitely worth it if you aren’t playing on a 4K TV or aren’t too fussed about all the extra performance benefits. For more help on making that decision, do take a look at our guide to the differences between the Xbox Series X and S.

Building A Pc For The Cost Of An Ps5 Or Xbox Series X
When the PS5 and Xbox Series X first launched, you could build a decent little rig for around the $1000 mark. It certainly wouldnt support real-time ray-tracing, and 4K gaming was absolutely out of the question, but you could absolutely build a serviceable rig.
Almost 12 months on, the market is substantially more expensive. Prices of everything have completely shot up, by virtue of the fact that supply of everything is restricted, seemingly for years. And if youre trying to stay within a budget, especially one with limited room to play, having to drop another $129 on Windows definitely doesnt help.
The best thing we can do is to start with a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, an older-gen six-core Ryzen part that still represents great entry-level value. It ships with its own cooler, so that helps a lot. The MSI B450 Tomahawk gets us something to plug the CPU into, and it has a single M.2 slot for NVMe drives in the future. The Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4-3200 CL16 kit is cheap and performs well, and the Crucial BX500 provides a 1TB SSD that should be sufficient at this price point.
Video cards are the real problem. Back around Christmas you could buy a RX 580 for about $220, which would have been an ideal inclusion for a system like this. Now, you cant even get a GTX 1050 Ti;without spending at least $349. Even a last-generation RTX 2060 is selling for almost $1000 in todays market, which shows just how ridiculous the situation is right now.
Heres the total price list so far:
Is It Worth The Upgrade For Xbox One Owners
If you’re an Xbox One owner who is thinking about upgrading to the Xbox Series X/S controller, you might want to hold off. While it is compatible, I’m not sure the differences are enough to warrant paying $60, especially when they’re included for free with the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
What you get with the Series X/S controller is a share button, which makes sharing clips marginally easier. You get superior shoulder buttons, which feel easier to use and more tactile. You get a slightly better weight distribution and a slightly more balanced feel. You’ll also get superior latency, although the difference is negligible, and may require an Xbox Series X or S to fully appreciate.
I would personally recommend simply upgrading your Xbox One to an Xbox Series X or Series S get the new controller rather than buying one outright â unless you specifically need to get a new controller. The previous-gen Xbox One controllers likely won’t be manufactured for much longer anyway, meaning that eventually, these will be the only official Xbox controllers available to buy.
Building A Pc That Can Match The Ps5 Xbox Series X In Australia
The upgrades sure as hell wont come cheap.;Our best option today is the RTX 3070.;That card was priced at an MSRP of $809 in Australia, but at the time of writing the best option I can find in stock was;the $1399 ZOTAC Gaming GeForce Twin Edge;from PLE Computers.
That should give you an idea of how rough this is going to be.
To properly match the consoles well need at least an 8-core CPU, better NVMe storage that utilises PCIe 4.0 drives, a motherboard that supports it all, and a better power supply and case to house it all. Well also want a slightly more efficient CPU cooler so the 5600X isnt forced to drop clock speeds to keep temperatures in check.
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
- CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 RGB Black Edition 57.3 CFM CPU Cooler
- GPU: ZOTAC Gaming GeForce Twin Edge RTX 3070
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B550 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard
- Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
- Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
- Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case
- Power Supply: Corsair RM 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
- OS: Windows 10 Home
As with the PC before, the price of this build has gone up by a few hundred dollars since the PS5 / Xbox Series X launch and theres more trade-offs. Theres less storage , and obviously we havent factored in the cost of a monitor. That said, you dont factor in the cost of a TV when buying a console either.

Xbox Series X Price: Streaming Apps
Microsoft has confirmed which streaming apps are available on the Xbox Series X. The big news? The Apple TV app is available from day one. That puts the console on a par with Sony’s PS5.
Microsoft also confirmed that the consoles will run all streaming apps currently available for the Xbox One consoles, with a few exceptions. The BBC iPlayer app didn’t work on Xbox Series X/S at launch but Microsoft has now rectified that.
So far the list includes :
- Sky Ticket
What About Xbox Series S
Codenamed Project Lockhart, the Xbox Series S, is the cheaper, digital-only alternative to the new Xbox Series X.
The lower-cost console had been rumoured for a while along with the disc-less feature, and faster CPU. Think PS4 Pro without the disc dive. Microsoft has said that Xbox Series X will be part of a family of consoles and it seems they were true to their word.

Spare Xbox Wireless Controller: $59/54
The new Xbox Wireless Controller is a rather lovely gamepad, offering a neat upgrade over its predecessor. And that makes it one of our favorite ever controllers once again. But the Xbox Series X only comes with one controller in the box, so if you want to indulge in some split-screen co-op Halo, you’ll need to get another.;
Thatll set you back an extra $59/£54, which isnt unreasonable for such a good controller. But it all adds to the overall price of the Xbox Series X; at least you get a choice of blue, black or white. Bear in mind older Xbox Wireless Controllers can be paired with the Series X, so if youre coming over from the Xbox One, you could avoid this extra expense. ;
Will Xbox Series X Exclusives Cost More
But as games start to move to being released exclusively on the Xbox Series X, consumers might see an uptick in price. The precedent has already been set by Take-Two’s;NBA 2K21, a game which will release exclusively on Xbox Series X and PS5 for $70. Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick has defended the price increase for;NBA 2K21 , citing the fact that game prices haven’t increased in over ten years, despite the fact that games have become much bigger and cost more money to produce in the first place. With Sony also stating that PS5 games will be “priced from US$49.99 to $69.99,” it’s a good idea for gamers to brace themselves for rising prices in the future.
Owners of the Xbox Series X may have a work around for this rising cost, however: Xbox Game Pass. While the library of games offered by this subscription service is limited and features a rotating inventory, it has contained a surprising number of AAA games, some of which were added to the service on the date of release.;Gears 5 and;The Outer Worlds, for instance, were both added to Xbox Game Pass on their release day. And although the release date is in the far distant future, The Elder Scrolls 6 will be on Xbox Game Pass on Day One, thanks to Microsoft’s recent purchase of Bethesda. While not a surefire method of acquiring and playing the hottest new games, at a maximum price of $14.99 a month, it may be the perfect solution for budget-strapped gamers looking to get the most out of their Xbox Series X.
