Shoppers in Australia and New Zealand were the first to get their Xbox Series X pre-orders in, with the 8am pre-order time arriving at these time zones first.
The price of the Xbox Series X in Australia is AU$749. In New Zealand, it’s NZ$799.

Canadians can also now pre-order the Xbox Series X for CA$599 and the Xbox Series S can be pre-ordered for CA$379.

Where To Buy Xbox Series X In The Uk
Since the Christmas rush, the supply of Xbox series X consoles has slowed to a trickle, but its at least a consistent trickle. New stock has been sporadic throughout April and May, with fresh batches of consoles usually selling out in less than five minutes. Some retailers, most notably Game, have had more restocks than others.
Knowing which retailers to check first to can help you grab one when they do appear, so weve compiled a shortlist of the most likely places you can buy an Xbox series X.
Game Game has been increasing the frequency of its Xbox restocks lately. The retailer had the Halo Infinite limited edition Xbox series X available for pre-order on 25 August, and last restocked the standard console on 13 August. Game is one of three to sell the Xbox All Access programme.
The retailer last restocked the Xbox series X on 29 July, though supply was so limited the console was only on sale for around two minutes. Whereas Amazon restricts sales of Sonys next-generation console to Prime customers, the Xbox gets no such protection. As such its exposed to automated bots and unscrupulous resellers and sells out in the blink of an eye.

Xbox Series X And Series S Pre
Both the Series X and S sold out before hitting the shelves. More stock arrived on launch day 10th November 2020 and promptly sold out. Since then, we’ve seen plenty of retailers restock the Series S but the Series X has been incredibly hard to come by.
To solve the problem, Xbox boss Phil Spencer recently told the ‘Major Nelson’ podcast that he’s asked chipmaker AMD to speed up production: “I was on the phone last week with Lisa Su at AMD , how do we get more? So its something that were constantly working on.”
If Microsoft can get its hands on more chips, it could potentially churn out more Xbox Series X and S consoles. The play seems to be paying off as more Xbox stock is now hitting shelves on both sides of the pond.
In the UK, Currys is due Xbox Series X stock on 23rd January. GAME released a big batch of Xbox Series X and Series S consoles in mid-January. They’ve now sold but Game is tipped to get Series S stock on 31st January. The BT Shop also announced it would have inventory of the Series S, but that allocation has now sold out.
The Series S is also available at selected Amazon locales across Europe. had plenty of Xbox Series S here, for well over a week. Supply seems to have dried up now.
GameStop had a limited number of Xbox Series X and Series S bundles up for grabs but they’re now sold out. The Series X with an extra Carbon Black Wireless Controller, NBA 2K21, 3-month Game Pass and $20 Gamestop gift card would have set you back $694.

Xbox Series X Price: What Microsoft’s Next
The Xbox Series X may list for $500, but if you want to own one, double that. Here’s what you need to know about pricing on the next-gen console.
Microsoft’s official list price for the new Xbox is either $500 or $300, depending on the model. The Xbox Series X costs $500, while the more modest Xbox Series S lists for $300. The Series S has a slower processor, less internal storage, 1440p output instead of 4K and no optical drive. Despite crippling inventory shortages, all the major retailers continue to respect this pricing and sell the consoles at Microsoft’s list price. That’s cold comfort, though, because of the chronic out-of-stock status means that the only real marketplace to snag the Xbox Series X/S is through resellers where it regularly sells for no less than twice the price.
We’ve been offering the same advice for months now: Wait until you can get an Xbox Series X at the $500 retail price and avoid resellers and bundles.

Before you buy the first Xbox that becomes available, you should know that Microsofts two new consoles have some significant differences. The $499 Xbox Series X is the flagship powerhouse of the family, designed to deliver immersive 4K gaming complete with a Blu-ray disc player and 1TB of internal storage for housing your digital downloads. If you have a 4K TV and want to experience the highest performance available on a console, you should spring for the Series X.
The $299 Xbox Series S is the streamlined, entry-level machine, able to play games at up to 1440p resolution and has roughly half the internal storage at 512GB. The Series S lacks a disc drive, so youre limited to digital downloads only. Its also significantly smaller than the chunky Xbox Series X, if space is a concern. If youre still using a 1080p TV but want to enjoy many of the perks of next-gen gaming, this is the system for you.
Fortunately, these systems have a lot of key features in common. Both use a solid state drive , which allows games to load up within seconds. The Series X and Series S both feature Quick Resume, which lets you bounce between a handful of games at once without losing your progress in any of them. And theyre both capable of running games at up to 120 frames per second for super-smooth gameplay, complete with ray tracing technology that allows for ultra-realistic lighting and shadows.

After many leaks and speculation, Sony confirmed the PS5 Digital and PS5 prices at £360 and £450 respectively. That came as a pleasant surprise to those who’d expected the PS5 to be priced much higher than the rival Xbox Series X.
As it turns out, the full-fat PS5 and Xbox Series X cost the same, although the all-digital Series S undercuts the PS5 Digital Edition by a fair margin of £90 .
Bear in mind, however, that the Xbox Series S is less powerful than the Series X, whereas the PS5 Digital Edition is identical to the standard PS5 except for the lack of a disc drive.

Xbox Rechargeable Battery: $24/19
One of the only real downsides to the Xbox Wireless Controller is it still uses AA batteries to power it rather than a rechargeable cell. Chemical batteries arent particularly elegant to use, not exactly great for the environment and can get quite expensive, as after a few lengthy game sessions theyll run out of juice. So to avoid that inconvenience youll need the Xbox Rechargeable Battery.
That means parting with $24/£19 if you want to have one controller with a rechargeable battery pack. Itll save you money in the long run, but its a little disappointing Microsoft didnt put a rechargeable battery pack in the new Xbox Wireless Controller by default.
What Does The Gucci Xbox Even Come With
Honestly? It comes with what youd expect a console to come with, though I suppose they get bonus points for offering two controllers instead of just one. You also get a subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, but for some reason, the website doesnt say how many months that includes. For 10K, Id hope for a subscription that took me into the next interaction of Xbox, but we all know that hefty price tag is because of the Gucci name on the box, the controllers, and the bag.

What am I even looking at?
Im not gonna pretend like I know the first thing about Gucci, but I do love me a good bag, and slapping on neon XBOX and GOOD GAME lettering in some attempt to make it relate to the product makes this collaboration look like an afterthought. When I first saw it, I thought it was a removable label, like when you have a clear size sticker on your T-shirt. Its literally just a Gucci bag with XBOX stamped on it. Were there just 100 bags in the Gucci warehouse that someone brought out before stamping XBOX in the center of them?
The console, at least, has a bit of thought put into it, along with the two controllers, but certainly not enough to make me think about spending multiple months worth of mortgage on it.

When Will The Best Xbox Series X Black Friday Deals Start In 2021
Generally speaking, the Black Friday deals season can start as early as late October and early November, even though Black Friday itself is in late November . Things really start to heat up in the week following Thanksgiving – which is when retailers tend to start dropping their sales and price matching on a wide range of categories.
Because Xbox Series X deals and bundles are a bit of an outlier in regards to stock and demand, it’s hard to determine when things will kick off exactly. We would, however, as a rule of thumb recommend being on guard from early November onwards. Last year the biggest Black Friday Xbox Series X stock drop was on November 18th, albeit from Amazon third-party sellers with inflated prices.
