What Is The Xbox One X Price
The Xbox One X MSRP is $499 in the US and the UK RRP currently sits at £449. So sure, it looks like UK gamers are paying considerable more as the direct currency conversion would have it at £390. That’s the same price as the new Xbox Series X, however, so if you can hold out for stock we’d recommend going with the new generation.
Xbox Series S Price: Cheaper Digital Edition
Rumours circled for months that Microsoft was working on a cheaper Xbox to launch alongside the Series X. Sure enough, the Xbox Series S is a digital-only version of its next-gen console in order to lower the barrier to entry.;
It costs £249.99 . That’s just over half the price of the full-fat Xbox Series X and could be a very tempting price for UK gamers.;
Gamers in 12 countries, including the US, UK and Australia, also have the option to pre-order the Series S and pay in instalments. Microsoft’s Xbox All Access service gets you Series S console plus Game Pass Ultimate and Xbox Live Gold in return for £20.99 per month over a 24 month period.;
The main difference between the Xbox Series X and Series S is that the latter doesn’t have a disc drive. Another big difference is that while both consoles support high frame rates of up to 120fps, the Xbox Series X offers native 4K gaming, while the Series S is geared more towards 1440p. If you want to make the most of your 4K TV, the Series X would be the obvious choice, but those with gaming monitors might be perfectly well served by the Series S.
The Series S isn’t as powerful, though. Both consoles have the same Zen 2-based CPU but the Xbox Series X runs at 3.8Hz, while the Series S runs at 3.4Hz. And where the Xbox Series S has 10GB of GDDR6 memory running at 224Gbps, the Series X offers 16GB of GDDR6.

Analysts Say Xbox Series X And Ps5 Sales Speed Basically The Same As Xbox One And Ps4
It would appear that Sony and Microsoft mightve been a bit ahead of their elder generation console sales if only they had the stock. A report from Ampere Analysis tracked unit sales of both the Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S and compared to sales of their predecessors. According to their data, Microsoft and Sony sold either around the same or slightly fewer units of their current new gaming consoles than their predecessors in the same period of time after launch.
Sonys PlayStation 4 had unit sales of approximately 4.2 million units in the first few months after launch. That console launched in November of the year 2013. Fast forward to now, and the Sony suggests theyve sold 4.5 million units since launch at the tail end of 2020.
Microsofts launch is slightly less impressive, with Xbox One sales in the first few months after launch at 2.9 million units back in the last months of 2013 and first of 2014. Microsofts Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S sales in the same period here in the last few months racked up around 2.9 million units.
Ampere noted that Microsoft as able to launch in more than three times as many markets with Xbox Series X/S as it did with Xbox One. Its possible and likely that sales of the Xbox Series X/S will surpass those of the Xbox One over time not accounting for the many iterations of Xbox One that appeared over the years .
