Xbox Live Gold Changes: Free
Two decades on, and Xbox Live remains a staple of Microsoft’s gaming efforts, fundamental to its Xbox home consoles, and touching PCs and mobile too. That’s coupled with its long-running Xbox Live Gold subscription, a monthly membership unlocking its full suite of online features, including multiplayer, party chats, and exclusive bonuses. But the gaming network, and Xbox Live Gold, have undergone a significant revamp, laying out wide-reaching changes for all.
Here’s what’s just changed with Xbox Live and Xbox Live Gold in 2021.
Can I Spectate Strangers In Fortnite Chapter 3
Unfortunately, the only way to spectate strangers in Fortnite Chapter 3 is to watch players who eliminate you from a match.
When an enemy takes you down, youll immediately be shown your final placement, along with a list of options to start a new match or head back to the pre-game lobby. The game will also show you what your opponent is up to after they killed you, and you can watch the match all the way to the end via this method.
Youll not be able to watch strangers from the pre-game lobby though, as the Watch Game feature has been removed from the game entirely.
When Did Apex Legends Release
Apex Legends released on February 4, 2019, and was available on PC, Xbox One, and PS4.
Since then, the developers have released next-gen versions of the game for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, offering upgraded graphics and performance thanks to the power of the new consoles.
Developers Respawn Entertainment also targeted the portable gaming market too, releasing Apex Legends on Nintendo Switch on March 9, 2021.

You No Longer Need An Xbox Live Gold Subscription To Play Free
Its official: Xbox has removed the requirement to have an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play free-to-play online multiplayer games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and on Xbox consoles.
Xbox announced the policy change after a failed attempt at raising the price of Xbox Live Gold back in January. Alpha Insiders have been testing the change for a several weeks. However, it was just last week that the change went live for all Insiders, so its somewhat surprising that Xbox was able to roll it out to all users so quickly.
In the announcement, Xbox included a list of more than 50 free-to-play games currently available on its Xbox One and Series X/S console. These include the obvious battle royale juggernauts, as well as Destiny 2, the recently released next-gen World War II shooter Enlisted, as well as non-battle royale juggernauts like Rocket League, World of Tanks, and Warframe. You can read the full list of free-to-play games on Xbox below.

Is It Better To Have Ps Plus For Rocket League

This question is a great one to ask. So many people do not know that being a PS Plus member gives you certain benefits, and when it comes to free-to-play games such as rocket league, Fortnite, and World of warships, Sony gives PS Plus members a few goodies.
In rocket League, they often release a free bundle for PS Plus members, including car decals, banners, titles, and much more. While it is rare for them to give out high-end items such as any black market or exotic items from PS Plus, it is still nice to have certain PlayStation-centric items.
You can use these free items to show what platform you use when playing cross-play against Xbox gamers and PC.
So yes, I would say that it is better to have PS Plus when playing rocket League because you get these items, and you also get things for just about every free-to-play game that is currently relevant such as Fortnite, where you get pickaxes, skins, stickers, and more.
Regarding why PlayStation does this, it is easy to see that it is a way to entice people who might not need PS Plus because they only play free-to-play games. Remember, when Sony sells a gaming console, they dont make much money. So, if someone only plays free games and doesnt subscribe, Sony might be losing out, and therefore, it is clever to try and entice you.

Do You Need Ps Plus To Enable Crossplay On Rocket League
An interesting fact about rocket League and the developer Psyonix is that they were one of the first companies and games to enable cross-play. The feature was used to allow PlayStation players to play with those on PC but not with Xbox and for Xbox players to play with PC but not with PlayStation.
Before cross-play became available for Playstation to Xbox and vice-versa, rocket league was not free-to-play. So, technically you did need PS Plus to enable cross-play between Playstation and PC however, even when cross-play became a thing between Playstation and Xbox, Rocket League still was not free to play, so again, you needed PS Plus.
When Rocket League went free-to-play, the PS Plus requirement completely fell away, and so even if you are playing cross-play between PC, Xbox, and or Switch, you do not need PS Plus to enable that feature.
Why Does Free To Play Games Not Require Ps Plus
I wish there were a complex answer to this simple question so I could go in-depth about it. But, unfortunately for my ego, the answer as to why free-to-play games do not require PS Plus is, in fact, a pretty simple one.
The reason why free-to-play games do not require PS Plus is that Sony said so when the PS4 was launched back in 2013. Of course, you could dig around the internet for hours to find a more complex answer, but that is the simple truth Sony said something, and that is the way it is.

Do I Need Xbox Live Gold Or Ps Plus To Play Fall Guys
Put simply, you don’t need an existing live service subscription to play Fall Guys for free. As such, you can dive into a match even if you don’t have Xbox Live Gold, PS Plus, or Nintendo Switch Online membership.
In that sense, Fall Guys operates very similarly to other free games like Fortnite and Rocket League. In those titles, you can dive into online matches even without an active subscription. That’s because the servers are hosted separetely by Epic Games, meaning they aren’t linked to the PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo servers you pay a fee to access.
Therefore, if your subscription to any of the online services expires, rest easy in the knowledge that you’ll still be able to enjoy some Fall Guys action. Now a fully-fledged free game, you’ll never need to spend another penny on it if you don’t want to.
That’s it for our look at whether you need Xbox Live Gold or PS Plus to play this revamped version of Fall Guys! While you’re here, feel free to also check out the PS Plus July 2022 lineup, which should be revealed fairly soon.

Why Was Fortnites Spectate Feature Removed
While Epic Games didnt give any details on the reason why they removed it, popular opinion suggests that stream sniping was the main reason it got axed.
Players would enlist friends to watch ongoing matches and call out enemy locations, making it easy for teams to essentially cheat their way to a victory.

Of course, its still possible to stream snipe opponents who are broadcasting their gameplay on streaming sites like Twitch or YouTube, but the delay means it isnt quite as effective as this method.

Why Rocket League Does Not Require Ps Plus
Ps Plus used to be required if you wanted to play Rocket League Online. However, it was only recently that all of this changed, and it all has to do with rocket League going free-to-play across all platforms, including Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC. Obviously, in this article, we are talking about PlayStation as Xbox and PC have different rules.
Sony PlayStation does not require its users to have PS Plus to play any free-to-play game online. It is only for paid games that it is necessary therefore, rocket league does not require PS Plus.
It was only on September 23, 2020, that rocket League went free-to-play across various platforms. After epic games acquired Psyonix, the original developers for Rocket League, they announced that the game would go free-to-play. It took a few months from the announcement, but it eventually went through.
As to why rocket League went free-to-play, we can only assume that Epic Games saw the success of their phenomenal game Fortnite which had a free-to-play battle royale mode alongside its paid-for-game Fortnite Save The World. The battle royale mode was and still is free to play but has managed to generate billions of dollars.

When Did Apex Legends Come Out
Apex Legends has become one of the most popular battle royale games in the world, but when did it first release?
Apex Legends is one of the most popular battle royales in the world, but when did it come out? Heres everything you need to know about the games original release date.
From PUBG to Fortnite, Apex Legends to Warzone, the battle royale genre has truly dominated the gaming scene for the last five years. In fact, the mode has become so important to shooters that games that launch without one are viewed as missing a vital component.
Each battle royale brings its own spin to the genre, capturing the imagination of players looking for new experiences. For Fortnite, building set it apart from its opponents, while Warzones use of class loadouts made it different from anything else on the market.
For Apex Legends, the use of characters with special and unique abilities meant that nothing else on the market could match its high-octane action, and unsurprisingly, thousands still jump on and play years after its launch. But when did Apex Legends actually release?

Is Rocket League Fun Offline
This is a very important question. The reason why most of us play any game is to have fun and pass the time. A games success is often determined by how fun it is and how it continues to bring players back to the game.
Rocket League offline is fun, especially when you are just starting out with the game. The game modes that offline offers are fun, and it adds a rewarding challenge to the game.
How To Link Your Accounts On Update Day

Rocket Leagues cross-platform progression is made possible with an Epic Games Account. So, creating one or signing into your existing Epic Games Account is the first step of the process. You’ll be prompted to do this when you start up Rocket League for the first time after the update. Once that’s completed, there are a couple of different ways to connect your Rocket League platforms to your Epic Games Account and complete the process for cross-platform progression.
Once you’re logged in, you will be asked to set a Primary Platform. Your Primary Platform will be your source of progression for all of your connected platforms. In other words, be sure to choose the platform where you have the most progress in Rocket Pass, and your highest Competitive Rank. Credit and Esports Token balances will stay tied to each platform as they cannot be transferred to a new platform. Once your Primary Platform is selected, you will be able to play with your Competitive Rank, and Rocket Pass progress, and XP Level on all other connected platforms.
If you make a mistake or change your mind about which platform will be your primary, don’t worry! You will be able to unlink your platform and choose a different platform as your primary, but you will not be able to link that platform to a different Epic Games Account.
