Why Are My Friends Not Showing Up On Xbox Live
Go ahead and do a hard reset and power cycle. Hold down the power button on the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down and then remove the power cable from the Xbox and the power outlet for about 2-3 minutes. Then re-connect and turn on the Xbox. I would also recommend removing your profile from the console.

Why Move Xbox Game Pass Pc Saves To Steam
Xbox Game Pass might be an excellent way to dive into Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice, Sea of Thieves, or even the new Grounded Preview at very little cost, but there are a few caveats that come with using the service. For one, the Xbox app itself is fairly restrictive when it comes to its game files, mainly due to DRM. This makes tweaking any launch settings for games difficult, which may be necessary to fix bugs or performance issues.
Technical issues aside, its also nice to have the freedom to move to another platform, free from losing game progress as a consequence. This means you can use Xbox Game Pass to try before you buy, without being exclusively tied to the Xbox storefront.
This guide might address save files specific to Xbox Game Pass and the Xbox app, but theres no doubt that being able to retrieve your save files from any platform is important in any scenario. The videogames industry is constantly on the move, so its important to ensure that your progression, be it narrative or competitive, is safe in your own hands
Xbox Consoles New Web Browser Can Run Google Stadia

Microsoft has announced plans to launch cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for PC and iOS devices in the spring of 2021.
And Xbox head Phil Spencer has said the company is working to bring Xbox Game Pass streaming to consoles too.
Yes, we want to do this, he said last year. Its in the long list of cool things the xCloud team is working on, just a bit further down the list. But we want console and PC players to be able to browse as easily as mobile players, its a good gamepass feature.

The Gaming Experience Playing Steam In Xbox
Admittedly, the game goes through an adjustment from browser to Xbox. This might not produce premium gaming graphics. However, going with this method, most games you can play on the browser would definitely run.
This program is brand new and, unfortunately, comes with some glitches. First, only games that support Xbox controller systems will work. For games that use keyboard and mouse, Microsoft Edge currently has problems detecting the mouse in Xbox, and therefore, has no mouse functionality.
Second, not all games immediately load. Chip found out that it takes a bit of luck if the program ends up running or crashes in the middle of the loading program. Sometimes Chip has to restart Microsoft Edge to try again.
Lastly, most games might not have the best response time. With the Steam games streaming straight from the internet, it also has graphical differences compared to playing games natively built for Xbox. This, however, is hardly noticeable. If you have a good internet connection, then the game will play from average to fairly decent.

How To Use The Windows 10 Xbox App To Launch Steam Titles
If you’re like a lot of Windows 10 gamers, you’re eager to start using the Xbox app on your PC as the hub from which you do all of your gaming. There are tons of good reasons to use the Xbox app as the core of your gaming experience – most of them revolve around the fact that Xbox Live is a strong community experience, especially with the onset of LFG and Clubs in the coming year. That said, most people who are playing games on PC have made their home in Steam, which remains the biggest online community and marketplace for PC games by far.
While many services lock you within their confines and prevent you from launching certain titles, the Xbox app actually allows you to plug in any game on your computer, and launch from there. This is mostly meant for importing your Steam library, but you can also use this for any games from Origin, GOG, Battle.Net, etc.
It’s actually a pretty simple process, all things considered. All you have to do is head over to the “My Games” tab of the Xbox app to check out your library. All you need to do is go to the “Add a game from your PC” option to bring up the list of game shortcuts that you can add to your Xbox Library. Here, I’m adding Final Fantasy XIV to the list of games that I can launch through the Xbox app.

You can find a big, useful list of command arguments at LaunchBox.com, and Steam user cunningmunki created a handy tutorial for adding ROMs to Steam that also lists a few of the most common emulators and their command arguments.
When you know what command arguments you need, youll generally add them to the Target field after the file paths for your emulator, but before the file path for your ROM.
How To Transfer Your Xbox Game Pass Pc Saves To Steam
Here’s how you can jump ship from Xbox Game Pass to Steam, without losing your game saves
Xbox Game Pass is undeniably a great service. From facilitating access to a plethora of titles from Sea of Thieves to Rocket League for a low price, to closing the gap between PC and console gaming through the Xbox app, Microsoft has managed to build a platform that caters to a wide variety of gamers.
Game Pass is a breath of fresh air for many PC gamers, especially in comparison to Microsofts previous Games for Windows service. While Steam might be the current crowned prince of PC platforms, Microsofts new formula is sure to entice some gamers to ditch their loyalty to Valves dominating platform.
Despite being such an attractive service, there are some DRM quirks and issues that come with using the Xbox app for gaming, which might make you want to jump ship and swim to another platform, such as Steam. While this would usually mean having to leave your hard work behind, its actually possible to bring your save files with you.
Its not too difficult to do this, either. The process simply involves finding where Steam saves the game and moving the Xbox save files to this folder, replacing the Steam save files. Weve outlined this process below, so you can follow through step by step to make sure youre getting it right.

Xbox Consoles New Browser Can Also Stream Steam Games Including Death Stranding
GeForce Now support confirmed for new Edge
Andy Robinson
Some Xbox users are now able to stream PC games to their consoles, via a test version of Microsofts Edge Chromium-powered browser and GeForce Now.
As reported earlier this week, Xbox testers in the Alpha Skip-Ahead group can now access the updated Microsoft Edge web browser on Xbox One and Xbox Series S / X consoles.
Thanks to the improved compatibility support with Chromium, the browser will run web browser apps such as those for , Discord and more.
Crucially, GeForce Nows compatibility means that Xbox players can stream many of their Steam games to their console, including PlayStation console exclusive Death Stranding, and ray-traced enabled versions of Cybperunk 2077, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and more.
Sonys other former console exclusives Horizon Zero Dawn and Detroit: Become Humanare not currently supported by the streaming service.
As noted in a video by Joe Chip , because the Edge browser does not currently support a mouse on Xbox, some games which require mouse and keyboard, such as Quake 2 RTX, do not play well via the browser.
GeForce Now is available for free, as well as via a subscription for faster access and RTX support.
The service differs from other services such as s Stadia by allowing players to stream their existing Steam and Epic Game Store libraries onto a number of devices such as smartphones or laptops.

How Does The Steam Deck Work
The Steam Deck uses a Linux-based operating system called SteamOS that serves as a standard console interface. You can boot up your Deck and scroll through your games with the analog stick like with any other console Xbox, PlayStation, or the Switch, for example.
This means that you’ll have access to the Steam store, community pages, forums, workshop, and more. You’ll be able to interact with other players on PC both in and outside of the games themselves. You’ll even share your account, meaning that your library will be there waiting for you. The Steam Deck is, for all intents and purposes, a portable gaming PC.
What’s different from other consoles is that Valve will let you swap the OS. You don’t have to stick with SteamOS you can download Windows if you want to.

Some games may still be rather unplayable because mouse and keyboard are not supported by the Microsoft Edge browser but with so many options to choose from, that’s a minor inconvenience.
Some games aren’t supported yet, most notably Horizon Zero Dawn and Detroit: Become Human, but that may change soon.
GeForce Now can be used for free, but we recommend the founder membership, which costs 27.45 for six months and lets you play for more than an hour at a time with active ray tracing.
