Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a massive hit on Nintendo Switch, and that success has inspired a blatant rip-off now available on Xbox! While some developers might be content to offer a game with a slightly altered title, HugoStudioLab went with the exact same name with its offering on the Microsoft Store. This version of “Animal Crossing: New Horizons” is actually much closer to Crossy Road, complete with five different animals for players to choose from. As of this writing, the game is still available on the Microsoft Store where it can be acquired for $2.99. The listing can be found right here.

It will be interesting to see how long the game remains available for sale! Nintendo is fiercely protective of its intellectual property, and the fake game isn’t just using the same name the listing on Microsoft’s store has the same logo, and even a picture of Tom Nook! It seems like a safe bet that this listing somehow slipped under Microsoft’s radar, and probably won’t be long for this world, as a result.

Bringing people to your island is a little tricky at first , but once you get the hang of it, itll be a breeze.
Just a reminder: If youre connecting to other players online, youll need a Nintendo Online Subscription.
You can invite friends to your Animal Crossing game. You can invite them from the airport, or if they are not your friends in the game you will need to give them Dodo code so they can find your island.
Starting on Day 2, you will want to head to the Dodo Airlines airport and talk to Orville, the bird behind the counter. Select the option I want visitors. From here youll be asked if you want visitors for local or online play.
If youre already Nintendo Switch friends with someone who is also playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can open your gate to your friends only, and theyll be able to come. For Nintendo Switch friends, select All my friends!

How Long Can You Play A Day
There is structure in Animal Crossing and it offers goals to chase, but its unlike other games in the sense that its self limiting. You can fish or grind materials the entire day, but youre always going to hit a wall of diminishing returns. Of course, the game is a digital stress ball and sometimes doing absolutely nothing is the best way to play.
In terms of concrete things to do, New Horizons allows you to:
- Catch fish and bugs
- Collect every fruit
- Collect DIY recipes
This is hardly a comprehensive list of what to do in Animal Crossing, but at the end of the day its flush with traditional video game elements. And thats the beauty of the series it offers players the flexibility of choosing how they want to play. The best way to play is going to be different than someone else.

New Pioneer Package With Server Change In Lost Ark
Lost Ark has been better received than many thought. Even Amazon did not expect this rush. And so there were long queues on some servers, as was the case with New World. Since a real server change is not possible, many players simply created a new character on a new server. However, some of these players have already redeemed their pioneer package on the first server and thus used it up unnecessarily.
As Amazon has now announced, we will get an additional set of exclusive items on the new server. These items are bound to the character and thus cannot be traded. They can soon be redeemed on every new server.

Game Boy Advance connectivity plays a role in Animal Crossing, using a Nintendo GameCube Game Boy Advance link cable. Each town has an island that can be accessed by plugging in a Game Boy Advance with a GameCube link cable. A character called Kapp’n ferries the player to the island for free. An exclusive animal roams the island, with whom the player can become friends. The island has an exclusive type of fruit: coconuts. The player can also decorate a small communal beach house and fish at the shores. On leaving, the player can download the island to a GBA and give fruit to the villager, who drops Bells if the player returns to the island, they can pick up the money that has been dropped. Players can leave the islander tools to use, such as the shovel or net. Downloaded islands can be traded between GBAs, using a Game Boy Advance Link Cable.
The Game Boy Advance can be used when shopping at the Able Sisters. The pattern design tool can be downloaded to a Game Boy Advance, and the player can then upload designs made on a Game Boy Advance to the GameCube. This feature can be accessed by plugging in a Game Boy Advance with a GameCube Game Boy Advance Cable and talking to Mabel in the Able Sisters shop. The game is also compatible with the e-Reader by visiting the Post Office while connected to the accessory via the Game Boy Advance link cable, players can scan Animal Crossing themed cards to receive new items, town tunes, or pattern designs.

We’ve heard previously how the Xbox Adaptive Controller is compatible with the Nintendo Switch, and it seems players far and wide have been making good use of this nifty tool ever since.
Yesterday, Pure Xbox shared a story about a disabled gamer by the name of EyeGazeGirl on Twitter who has been using this particular controller to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons on the Switch, courtesy of the UK charity Special Effect.
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer acknowledged how “inspiring” it was, and within the original tweet it’s explained how Becky can move the joystick with her chin and the switches with her head and hand. The official Xbox account even chimed in and said it was happy to help out.

Can I Download My Games On More Than One Switch
Yes, but its complicated. If you have more than one Switch consolea full-size version connected to a TV and a Switch Lite for a kid, for exampleyou can download every game and piece of downloadable content youve bought on the Switch eShop onto both consoles. But when you sign in on more than one Switch with the same user account, Nintendo forces you to designate one Switch as the primary console and any others as non-primary consoles. Non-primary consoles are subject to a number of restrictions, which Nintendo fully outlines here .
In short, non-primary consoles require an internet connection to play any downloaded game . If you have no internet connection, or if someone is playing any downloaded game on the primary Switch, you cant play on the non-primary console.
And although any account on the primary Switch can play any game downloaded by any other user account, downloaded games on non-primary consoles can be played only by the user account that originally purchased them. So if you want to play some local multiplayer in or Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, for example, you need to own two copies of the game.

Disc Drives And Storage
The Xbox One S, Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and PS4 have physical disc drives, with the Xbox One consoles also able to play 4K Ultra HD Blu-rays. Sony, even as a founding member of the Blu-ray Disc Association, decided against adding a 4K Blu-ray deck to either PS4. They are still able to play conventional 1080p Blu-rays, but not Ultra HD discs.
The Nintendo Switch can do neither. The Japanese firm opted to dispense with discs altogether, with games coming on cartridge instead, much like the 3DS and Nintendo consoles of yore.
Games are also available via download stores, but considering how stingy Nintendo has been with on-board storage, you’ll have to invest in a microSD card to store more than a couple at a time.
The Xbox One S was originally available in a 500GB size, although the 1TB version is the standard model you’ll find in stores these days. The Xbox One X also sports a 1TB drive.
The latest PS4 is available in 500GB and 1TB sizes, while the PS4 Pro is a 1TB console. All Xbox and PlayStation machines have the ability to increase the storage through third-party hard drives – via external USB 3.0 HDDs. In addition, all PS4 models can be expanded through swapping the internal 3.5-inch internal drives.
The Switch, on the other hand, comes with 32GB of built-in storage. Big-name games, especially those from Nintendo itself, often take up at least half of that.

Can You Use Party Play With Friends
Party Play can only be used with the other player residents of your island. It allows you to explore your island with three other players all on the same Nintendo Switch. It does, of course, require multiple controllers to work.
Eight players in total can live on one island at the same time, which means that Party Play allows half of the player population to play together.
You can use party play with friends as long as you each have one part of a JoyCon. Only 4 people can play Party Play at one time on one Switch.
To use Local Play, you and your visitor must be in the same place using the same connection. This makes Local Play the ideal for inviting or visiting your friends.
Party Play has been specifically designed for islands with multiple player residents, allowing up to four players to visit the island at the same time on the same console.
